You can ss jads but I wouldn't recommend it really. My track record ssing jads is 2/3 success 1/3 death :P. You can afford to miss more switches now, so I'd just try switching first. You can also bring a shield and just use Barricade or Immortality if you feel like playing it safe the first time. For the caves, I believe any style works but tribrid is fastest. Nothing much special, bring 2h t80+ weapons, overloads, full obsidian and kill everything.

Drygores (New Quest 5/7)
A smaller percentage saved means less time saved on banking. 2000 seconds of prayer per inventory. 100 seconds per bank. 2100 s total for 2000 s killing. 3000 seconds of prayer per inventory. 4100 s total for 4000 s killing. Save 100 s per 4200 s (2x2100 vs. 4100). 4000 seconds of prayer per inventory. 6100 s total for 6000 s killing. Save 100 s per 12300 s (3x 4100 vs. 2x6100). Which is diminishing returns. If you're talking about a half hour to an hour trip (let alone with Penance), prayer will only save you gp anyway. The formula still is: drain rate multiplier = 30 / prayer bonus + 30.

Concentrated blast > Combust > Impact > Conc. blast > Wrack > Chain > Asphyxiate > Conc. Blast > whatever's free > Wild magic. Something like that, prioritize tresholds, conc. blast, impact, combust.

I like that style, Trey, but not on a game like RS where skills are both seriously unbalanced (some more useful than the others) and unpredictable (for all we know, magic might be better than ranged soon? who knows what updates are in store). Also RS is heavy on all-rounding and 'everybody can become everything', which is a culture that may not be worth changing.

Can barrows armor take me to 99?
Yes, you can get 99 slayer with that, but it'll take a long, long time. First upgrade your weapons. Melee: Bgs is fine for now. Ranged: Get a royal crossbow. Use royal bolts. Magic: Get a polypore staff or Armadyl battlestaff. Use polypore strike or wind surge. Upgrade to chaotic claws and chaotic staff when you can. Armour-wise, upgrade to: Fire cape and god cape instead of skillcape. Full Bandos, Armadyl, Subjugation intead of Torag's, Karil's, Ahrim's. Includes boots/gloves. Amulet of fury instead of glory. Sell vine whip, dark bow, master wand, barrows equipment etc.. If you aren't already, make sure you use super potions and prayers (chivalry works, or you can use 15% attack/strength with an amulet of zealots). Abilities are much better than Momentum.

I think the game should be finite. The current size (in terms of hours to complete all (visible) achievements) is already huge, and there's no need to keep increasing it. Because of power creep and new bosses/quests/minigames/trim reqs, the percentage of the game taken up by skilling decreases, but it's still a huge part. Adding new skills will increase the share of skilling again. So based on that, I see no reason to add 120 skills.

KK 240k lp (2400 hp levels) 85 attack, def, str 2400 * .25 + 85 * .25 = 621.25 base levels. Add 55.25 levels from attack and strength. Combat evel: 676 Vorago 250k lp (2500 hp levels) 90 attack, def, str 2500 * .25 + 90 * .25 = 647.5 base levels. Add 51.75 levels from attack and strength. Combat level: 699 Normally you'd calculate strenght by melee max (like with corp, Zilyana). The KK's the melee max hit is 2560 according to tip.it, which suggests 256 pre-eoc, but idk if that works at all. I don't know Vorago's max hit. Assuming the KK has accuracy comparable to level 85 weapons, a max hit of 256, without any equipment bonusus, then in 'old money' he's got a strength level of 243 and an attack level a good bit higher. There was no level 85 equipment pre-EoC, but assuming it's about 160 attack bonus for all gear, you get a 3.5x multiplier on attack level, so level 85 + pot + pray + 8, which works out to some 130, 130*3.5 = 455. Doing the same thing for defence, assuming about 600 def roll, you have 600 def levels. So, giving the KK 250 strength, 600 defence and 450 attack (for the sake of round numbers), you end up at 227.5 + 150 + 600 = 977 combat. Knowing Jagex, they would've made the KK 1002 combat at least though. For Vorago, the max hit isn't known to me, but I'd say he'd be 1003 combat by the same reasoning.

I would like to play again
I'd just go with plate + primal 2h weapon + ssh for now, bind a t11 shortbow + arrows and blood necklace when you can. Hexhunter bows are no good right now, though you can bind one for rarity (and hope it gets buffed).

This is a pretty annoying thing to post. Maybe you should make only serious, well-reasoned and sarcasm-free comments from now on. @Fallstar: I don't think it'd be much fun to go from 99s to 120s. It'd be better to revamp the whole skilling system. Remove the very high xp rates for buyables & combat (say 300k/h max for buyables, 150k/h max for combat?) and remove the very low xp rates for non-profitable skills or add profit (agility). I have no problem with making maxing a bit slower, but it shouldn't be several times longer than it is now. Lower xp rates combined with more (high-level) quest rewards would be nice, as quest xp rewards are hardly relevant past level 80-85. Something like 4x300k xp in stats over 90, for example, for a tough quest.

I don't know for sure because barrage + wand combo got nerfed recently, and barrage alone a few weeks before that. I think it would be best to stick with full Torva + drygores now, unless you can upgrade to virtus + seismic wand + orb. Divine is not worth it.

Skills won't go to 120 any time soon. First there's no content and second that's a lot of grind. Don't forget 99 > 120 is 8x the xp. Currently there is one person with virtual 3000 total, there are 26 people with enough total xp to be maxed at 120 in every skill (if they could redistribute their xp), versus about 6500 at 2496 and lots more at 2475, but that's harder to check with dg in there. Most people with 2.6b+ xp have xp in fast and afk skills, not in skills like agility as well. Sure, if there were 120 skills more people would go for them, but the current rankings and xp rates suggest max total would be a matter of a few hundred people total, if that. I'm sure some people like that kind of elite requirement, but to me skills seem to basic to make unattainable for the average/median player.

How To Write a Quest Guide?
If you write a good guide before the crew gets around to it, they may ask permission to use it on the main site (it has happened before, iirc). Converting forum code to website code takes some time though, so the crew has work to do even if your guide is perfect (which is one reason we don't put any random guide on the website).

I would like to play again
It takes a couple of months to get ports armour just for the minigame. Ports were released 11th of December (2012), I got all three superior sets the 15th of April (2013) and max port score the 20th of June. And while I wasn't as fast as you could be - we know more about the best routes now - that's roughly the pace you can expect. Since you're not on the hiscores (yet?), it's a bit hard to tell, but Runetracker suggests you have 90 fishing, which would help as it's the stat most helpful in getting plate (for melee armour).

A while ago (couple of weeks tops) Barbarian Assault was going smoothly, no problem at all, on world 6. Anyway BA armour really should be better, considering it takes as long as one regular void set to get (roughly, counting Penance gloves/boots/skirt/top/helm). The prayer restore thing is pretty bad, it'd be nicer if it was t55 or upgradeable like elite void/master penance trident.

Managed to reload the game, woo. Familiars require 6 shards, a pouch, a gold charm and a pig tooth. 15-16 xp per pouch. 17 min timer, drains 2 summoning points to summon. Bacon combines into stacks, stack sizes are 2, 4, 8 and 16. The 16-piece stack heals 1100 lp (examine: 'breakfast for one').

I would like to play again
Generally, EoC made monsters incredibly weak and killrates have gone up a lot. Certain abilities, like Assault, will kill a typical slayer target by themselves (Assault takes 6 seconds). Weapon tier is more important than anything else now, so get the highest level weapon you can. T90 weapons are drygores (100m for the set or so), ascension crossbows (500m for the set? idk) and seismic wand + orb (1.5b for the set or so). T80 weapons are chaotic claws (200k tokens & a dragon claw set), royal crossbow/dual wield ccbow (2m gp and 300k tokens respectively) and vwand+book/cstaff (130m and 200k tokens respectively). Dragon boots & defender, EE, fighter torso/hat, polypore, SoL, infinity boots, berserker & dragonstone (i), kxbow, zspear and I suppose also fury are nearly useless nowadays. There is very little reason to hybrid anymore, and that means multi-style boosters like fury, berserker ring and such are mostly useless. Zealots got nerfed recently, don't get it. For equipment, get: Full subjugation, Armadyl, Bandos (incl. boots/gloves, no weapon/shield). At least t80 weapons as listed above. Saradomin's whisper & hiss + arcstream. Due to increased kph, bonecruncher + demon horn sustains prayer at a lot of places. Start on Player-owned Ports for tank gear. Void, imbued single-style rings, alerter and god capes are still good. Barrows is t70 tank gear, which makes it useless: Anything that you do need to tank, t70 isn't good enough for. Dungeoneering-wise, there's w77 which can be ok but usually requires 110+ or 113+ for better teams (and even those can be pretty bad). Other than that you have to stick with friends and clanmates you know are good.

So you'd expect it to be 188% damage like Destroy/Sever etc., but every two ticks and getting stronger all the time? That's pretty good. Wonder why the description is so much worse... That's awesome, brb pro Vorago team, Vulnerability + Heal all (lol). If there's still people who tank missiles on stage 5, they should cast Vulnerability! Ikr :S. Wonder what else we're missing out on. Edit: +8 medals, first and second place in today's games. Edit2: +2 SW wins, woo. Probably at 35ish now.
