Just made 284 holy symbols from the silver bars i got Temple Trekking (Full Lumberjack ftw! : ) and they sold instantly and made me about 75k richer. There's also another thread on this page asking how well symbols buy, so they are in demand ;) .

I was always under the impression that it was +-5% of market price, but don't quote me. It usually is, but with some items JaGeX creates a "bottom" so that the price cannot go any lower, and as stated above that is to minimize alching.

It is but it is also a lot of investment, and if you get a touch of bad luck it may be disasterous. Toadflax have a very low death rate, cheap seeds, and are very profitable too, try farming those instead. Also try a slayer task or two ;) .

No, the effect only applies to ores where it's 1 ore:1 rock ratio, you get a full inv of essence fast enough as it is anyways :lol: .

I don't recall them hyping it. They even made a development blog about 2 weeks before it came out and said it probably wouldn't be very special or fun gameplay-wise, but that it was a new thing for them and that's why it took long to make. I know, but despite the lack of hype the high expectations were still there despite thier best efforts.

+1, most of the things (Or at least weapons) people borrow are usually for boss hunting, and if you aren't intelligent enough to look up the weapon you are using I don't think you will do that well with it anyways. And if you don't know a whip takes 70 attack to wield, well then you deserve a big 'ol piece of shattered dream pie.

I wasn't speculating that the "new skill" was MA, just that the situation sounded similar to what happened with MA, i.e. hype it and then have the player base give a resounding "meh" when it came out.
