  1. Even though I agree with your conclusion, I don't quite agree with your reasoning. Are you saying that we should kill people, because people are dying all the time anyway? Is doesn't mean ought to be. That's what this thread exists. What ought to be
  2. I think this thread should be revived. There hasn't been many interesting topics in Off Topic for a while now, as far as I'm aware. What do you guys think would be the alternative to abortion? Would there ever be a form of protection that could prevent conception, without compromising the experience? Vasectomy may work, but some people wouldn't want to never have kids for the rest of their lives. Birth Control pills aren't always taken (they could forgot), and they have to be taken in a specific routine to be effective in the first place. What I don't understand is this: Why do some people consider a two-celled Fetus a 'human being'? I mean, until it develops brain-waves, is it really a human? Adoption schemes have one major drawback. Which would be that it doesn't deal with the 9 months of carrying the child. Also, would it be practical? I mean, adoption isn't compulsory, and which child gets chosen is usually based on preferences (as far as I'm aware). That usually causes a huge gap of people who never get adopted due to their skin/colour/ethnicity/gender and other kinds of discrimination there may be. Idealistic opinion: What we need, is a way to grow babies in an 'incubator', sort of like using a machine to be a surrogate mother. That way, a woman doesn't have to give up her right to privacy, for the fetus' supposed 'right to life'. Hopefully someone could respond to this...

  4. Seeing toast's pic made this play in my head: [hide=Contains swear words] [/hide] Uh, just realised it contained a few more swears than Admins like. I'd put it in hide tags I guess
  5. I'm not sure if this is right or not, but the second last line is pretty much saying 2*0 = 1*0, and the last step is dividing 0 out from both sides? Ah, there we go. I just followed what they did and didn't spot that because x = a, x - a = 0
  6. Brackets Indices Division Multiplication Addition Subtraction Hmm, you're right. EDIT - Talking of trollmath, could someone explain why this doesn't work?
  7. Two things: Morning wood Eyegunk
  8. If I'm on a relaxed day (More doing it for the fun) I do similar to that. I make sure that every stake, win or lose, earns me an extra 10M. So I do this (If losing): 10M (10M profit if won) - 30M (20M profit if won) - 70M (30M profit if won) - 150M (40M profit if won) - 310M (50M profit if won) - 630M (60M profit if won) - Etc. Very very very fast cash. Odds of getting cleaned... Very very very slim. Highest I've had to go was the 1270M mark and only happened once. You only need to lose once, before you're cleaned. Even if you lose about 10 times, you're staking 1024 times more gp than you originally lost. Odds of losing is slim, odds of winning an amount that could pay for potential losses before actually losing is slimmer.
  9. I don't think you understand probabilities. Yep. A particular duel's outcome is not determined by the previous duel's outcomes. Every duel is just as likely to win as any other duel, given that all other factors remain equal.
  10. A reminder to those posting here: This thread is about human temptation, and our morals. Please don't change that On Topic: Assuming that the people here aren't lying about not cheating, I want to raise a question. What kept you rule-abiding? When is it worth it?
  11. This is an interesting thread. I will say that I have been tempted to cheat, and I have cheated, thus I got banned for it. I guess I learnt the hard way. In reality though, it's sometimes just about the opportunity cost. Some people are more than willing to risk a decent account if they could get something good out of it. I would suggest against breaking RuneScape rules though, as it's still against the spirit of the game. Hmm, I guess I'll have to lurk this thread
  12. Basically, they're seeing who can be the fastest, playing it like a hiscores race. I guess there's no harm in efficiency... what....what does that have to do with rainbows, stairs and bright girl-like colored sigs and avatars? Oh, that. Perhaps they enjoy the feminism on the internet? Although... there is no such thing as girls on the internet...
  13. From what I gather - Vengeance Group = Vengeance other on a group of players within a 3*3 radius with 'Accept Aid' turned on. Useful for Corporeal Beast

  18. Slayer is only the most efficient for Slayer xp.
  19. I'm usually pissed if they're just lugging around and get in my way. But if he/she was legitimately moving and just happened to be going a tad bit slow, not much I can say at that point. Tad is an understatement. It seemed like he was walking at 1 mile per hour
  20. The supply curve has shifted to the right as a result of the SG bots (positive supply shock), thus the new market equilibrium would be at a lower price. This and the invisible hand, results in a falling price
  21. Unreasonable expectations (5 Michelin Star restaurant? Get out) Girls who appeal to pity (Bawwwww, I'm such a victim =((((((() Anorexia/Obesity (I don't eat cause it makes me fat/OM NOM NOM CHOCOLATE) High self-esteem (Uh, I wouldn't elaborate on details) Girls who can't take a joke Justin Bieber/Rebecca Black/Twilight fangirls (Self explanatory) Loud, excitable girls (I want my ears to function when I'm 20) Girls who can't play games (I mean, seriously, female gamers are hot) Emo/Goth girls (I just don't understand them. I don't understand their culture, their thinking, their tastes in music) Etc

I would say that Marujana is a bit like Nuclear Energy. It rarely kills anyone, yet it's frowned upon by many. Why? I don't quite know
  23. A fat person blocked the passageway to my lesson today. I was late.
  24. Training strength raises the chance of hitting a specific number, whilst training attack marginally improves your ability to not miss. Strength first, then Attack. Armoured Zombies with a Salve Amulet (e), with your best strength bonus gear
  25. The white screen of death happens on all browsers I've tried. Be it Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Swiftkit or the RuneScape Client - I've managed to whitescreen on every single on at least once in any 4hour+ spree I haven't gotten a RuneScape screenshot for a while now... perhaps I could dig something in my archives of stuff (assuming I still have them) EDIT - Nope, I have none. Perhaps I should work on a new account and try and get back into RuneScape, assuming my studies doesn't interfere..
