  1. I always use winter storage scrolls simply for the convenience, I rarely use the 30 inventory spaces. the scrolls don't interrupt combat. depositing into the pack yak doesn't necessarily interrupt combat, but it takes extra effort to make sure that you don't.
  2. my personal recommendation is to just trim your hp cape :P but hey they say torag's hammers, verac flail, and ancient staffs arent bad for crush either, and those have defensive styles i believe dont quote me on the barrows weapons, but the ancient staff definitely does.
  3. I z-spear all dragons other than greens + babies. I'm on the fence about blues. not enough experience slaying them. im tempted to say z-spears for blues @ kuradal's dungeon though. recover specials take up alot of inventory space for rather marginal benefits, i would only consider using it in PVP where special attack is important or if I'm close to a bank. Either way there is no situation i would use it.
  4. I say stick with the iron titan for the def xp, the slayer xp difference won't be too huge If micro managed perfectly, against a target with 0 defence, a steel titan will still only give up to 2k more slayer xp/hour with an iron titan if you're using scrolls for both id expect an extra 1k slayer xp/hour with a steel titan over an iron titan, but ultimately your call I prefer pack yaks @ kuradal dark beasts because it lets me bring enuf ppots to turmoil the entire task that and pack yaks beast aberrant spectres. I think everybody else covered everything else.
  5. I tried looking up that video! but I couldnt open it for some reason. anyways how old is that video? because jagex updated superheating to take up 3 game ticks instead of 2, meaning absolutely no more than 2000 gold ores can be superheated per hour. maybe Zarfot's video is just old, and that's why he was able to do 2100 per hour. you can of course, cast superheat, high alchemy, and enchant spells simultaneously for extra magic xp with your smithing xp.
  6. you sound like you're getting confused you can do basic efficiency calculations it seems, here's the raw data, do with it as you please. sc hammers addy platebodies: 196k xp/hour, -1810k gp/hour sc hammers addy bolts: 108k xp/hour, -510k gp/hour gold smelting: 73k xp/hour, -272k gp/hour gold superheating: 106k smithing + 94k magic xp/hour, -841k gp/hour living rocks combo method: 52k mining + 45k smithing + 40k magic xp/hour, -105k gp/hour
  7. 1 mil's a good estimate for anyone. It won't make a huge difference anyways sc tools + addy bolts currently > smelting gold ore for you, as long as you can get ~ 5 sc tools per hour with a good clan chat addy bolts and addy platebodies are roughly equivalent in efficiency a 1 mil/hour income your call, how much money do you really want to spend. (or if you're even high enuf smithing lvl for platebodies lol) last but not least, the only methods that can beat out addy bolts/addy platebodies for you would be superheating. do you want to train mining? if so do it with the living rock + superheat method. do you want to train magic? once again, superheating all the way
  8. I tell everybody this but superheating gold is awesome <3 especially if you superheat it while you mine it from living rock caverns but not everybody wants magic/mining xp that badly. But if you do, that method blows all other methods out of the water, virtually regardless of income rates. Tell me how much you value your time, or what your income is and I'll see what my spreadsheets tell you to train =D
  9. the exact problem im having with mouse keys: say i press Ctrl + 4 once, it moves a 1 inch left then i press ctrl + 6 right after that, it moves 1.5 inches right there doesnt seem to be a consistency in the movement distances.
  10. get it? gem bolt tips? got any tips? haha *ahem* any ways to make this faster? i've tried shrinking my screen and arranging my spellbook icons. I tried mousekeys so far but I fail @ it. for some reason the intervals @ witch my mouse moves isnt constant, I even messed with the acceleration anyways are there any other little secrets to making this faster? maybe something that lets me designate a keyboard key to click an exact point on the screen? cheers
  11. let me get this straight, you want to know if you should wait til bonus week to end to smith mithril platebodies or just smith some now? anywhoo assumptions: 22 gp/xp to smith mithril platebodies during bonus week (ignoring the bonus) 20 gp/xp to smith mithril platebodies after bonus week due to prices falling (10 gp/xp once you factor in SC hammers) lets say normally you can smith 800 platebodies per hour bonus week: so 800 * 250 * 1.7 = 340k xp/hour, at a cost of 800 * 250 * 22 = 4400k gp in that hour SC tools: 800 platebodies per hour = 4.5 seconds a platebody 3600 seconds/(3 sc tools * 64125 xp/sc tool) * 500 xp per platebody = additional 9.36 seconds per platebody 4.5 + 9.36 = 13.86 seconds per platebody, or 260 platebodies per hour 260 * 250 * 2 = 130k xp hour at 260 * 250 * 20 gp/xp = 1300k gp in that hour bonus week @ 1.7x: [4400k + 1000k (income)]/340k = 15.88 gp/xp efficiency ratio bonus week @ 1.6x: [4400k + 1000k (income)]/320k = 16.88 gp/xp ratio bonus week @ 1.5x: 5400k/300k = 18 gp/xp ratio SC tools: [1300k + 1000k(income)]/130k = 17.79 gp/xp ratio Result: smith mithril platebodies during bonus week until ur multiplier hits 1.5x, then stop.
  12. 96 - 99 summoning and 90 -> 91 construction in 2 hours 15 minutes so far =D
  13. uh good question, but I don't think it would be easy for anyone to test if the defense stacks or not. My gut instinct tells me, that since the nature of this defense bonus (being melee exclusive) is different than a level difference of turmoil. but technically I can't say for sure.
  14. constant but only useful against melee attacks, anything in your inventory of your choice, 150 items per hour, 5 items per bar
  15. i use pack yaks only for blue dragons + dark beasts + metal dragons at kuradal and only for dark beasts so i can carry ppots to camp there for an entire task (~1 hour 30 minutes) all dragon tasks @ kuradal's dungeon i recommend a beast of burden to carry the bones for yeah i use combat titans @ black demons, dags, anything multi (bloodvelds, fire giants, dust devils, etc) unless im cannoning black demons @ taverly of course
  16. waterfiends are the only task i'd use unicorns on, but admittedly with soul split, few tasks are worth bringing unicorns on anymore I prefer a pack yak @ mithril dragons, but otherwise unicorns are nice there. bunyip is a great option for any kuradal task that you're not using a beast of burden for geyser titan for everything else multicombat tbh
  17. last minute game change plan! I've got to buy 40k teak logs by bonus week. 10k so far, and that's with 3 of my friends offering max price for them too. Shoulda thought of this earlier. *facepalm*
  18. nah, the crozier is nowhere near that big, nor shaped in that fashion.
  19. steel bars yield a small margin of profit even when superheated at the moment aside from smelting/superheating, there aren't too many options. I simply recommend you train something else for bonus week and save smithing for after the break. The best training methods for bonus week are, typically, the more expensive ones afterall.
  20. they will still work, they just won't receive the full benefit of the 2.7x multiplier so gold gauntlets give a 2.5x bonus so for the first hour you'll still receive 2.7x but after that you'll only receive 2.5x, something like that
  21. superheating gold ores is cheaper than smithing mithril platebodies, even with SC hammers. smelting gold ores without superheating is even cheaper than that. Once again i highly recommend the superheating as you mine concentrated gold ore method, it's by far the best.
  22. RS wikia image: all we officially know about him is that he loved non-combat skills, probably did not have a wife, and was defeated and cursed into the strange rocks after losing a duel over the supply of runestones
  23. PS check out my spreadsheets, there might be some information you'll like there (link on my signature)
  24. +1 this kind of thing shouldn't be possible in the first place.
