At level 6(or whatever level you can make clay fireplaces) go to the rimmington mine, mine some clay, make it into soft clay, make clay fireplaces, repeat, cost nothing, it'll take a while though.

It's no where near as effective, if your maging no guthans isn't required, melee/range? Well It's almost a requirement.
