  1. Theoretically it is "riskable", but yea, the benifits far outweigh the risks.
  2. Youve obviously never heard of ZMI. That or many bots would go train a skill thats more click friendly or the like because they don't like trying. And either way, human competition is better than bot competition because it feels like your playing with humans, not robots. Also, humans actually take breaks. Its like saying if ess bots couldnt bot they would just mine ess all day as legitimate players. No, thats not true. They would go onto other methods, unless they were really, really stupid. P ess is just something thats easily bottable and thus pretty popular despite it being a pretty hilariously bad money maker. Friendly competition is never a problem. Friendly botting competition :S Theres a multitude of causes to a single problem. Ranarr herbs only panic crashed because of resource dungeons as you mentioned, and after the bonus XP which ironically seems to have made prices fall. Ranarr seeds on the other hand have been steadily falling for the past, god knows how long. Lets leave party hats out of this. There rarity and complete lack of actual supply means its out of reach of pretty much every legitimate player who say, started this year. Personally i doubt even monster hunters can easily hunt there way up to a partyhat without a lucky divine drop or similar. Most other high level items, say claws, bandos, godswords, etc, are quite in reach for most legitimate methods. I hate to sound like a child. But... WOOT!
  3. They are made right and left because there is an obvious problem. If there was no problem, the threads werent be made. Yea, real players totally stop moving, yep, all 16 of them decide to do take a break at the same time and then say there for 10 minutes.
  4. People say its like 500k-1 mill a day. Not too sure myself though.
  5. Thats an understatement. People have adapted, myself included. But you SHOULDN'T have to adapt by abandoning a skill altoghethor, or worse case scenario. Abandoning skilling, period. Because its been taken over by bots. And its not just things like woodcutting, fishing, and mining. Things like runecrafting, formerly making around the 1 mill mark and used to be one of the best consistent money makers. Have you looked at nature rune prices recently? Its ridiculous. Its on the rebound but we all know its going to fall again. Things like hunter. Red chins and puro puro have been crap full of bots for god knows how long, and even if the puro-puro people aren't bots, alot of them botted there stats to get to that level. Thus increasing competition. Thieving. Just walk past draynor village and you see a literal mass of the things. And the prices of ranarr seeds and the like just keep falling. These 3 skills are or were among the best skills in the game for making money (still crap compared to MH), and yet they are still being effected by bots. A runescape where only monster hunting or merchanting is a legitimate profiting method is a bad runescape. We have 20+ skills for a reason, at least make half of them useful. http://services.runescape.com/m=itemdb_rs/3136o_graphimg3.gif?id=5295&scale=2 * Off topic, but i would say about ~10 skills are pretty much completely useless from a single player - non skillcape, non quest requirement perspective. Outside a few niche areas like handcannon. And yet you keep arguing the opposite.
  6. Zapps farming guide in AOW has everything. Basically, do your highest allotment, ranarrs/toadflax when you can, and marigolds. Also do willow trees when you can, and oranges.
  7. I would like to think im awake enough when playing to not get stuck behind a door for 5 minutes. Bots are a problem. Sure, they will never be truely eliminated, but people like ring-world saying they help the game is somewhat concerning. They help individuals and hurt indivuals I take back what i previously said about it helping the game, as there are those who benefit from them as well as those who get hurt by them I dont think either side is wise enough to assert that they are 100% bad for the game or 100% good for the game, there is an obvious benefit and loss ratio to players on both sides. Sure, bots technically help me when i get cheap ass ranarr seeds and the like. But if a false economy with dirt cheap raw resources and many popular training spots taken over by bots which in turn diminishes the use of many of the gathering skills is your definition of benifit then yes, it benifits. Benifiting the game is not only getting getting high skills and the like.
  8. A and D look the least stupid, but i doubt itil make much difference either way.

  10. You really want that raven dont you... Reminds me, i need to get a penguin :)
  11. Rev's should totally make D Dots.
  12. certainly not healthy but im sure its possible I guess if you had one of those standing workstations and/or a really good ergonomic chair... Plus one of those thingys where you control the mouse with your eyes o.O
  13. Other than your hilariously small money pile its good
  14. Catherby. So i could go to the beach, pull out my laptop, and play a game of life.
  15. 18... hours... on weekends.. Is that even physically possible to keep up :S
  16. If they are leeching off society its one thing, however if they won the lotto and can financially support their habit who are you to judge them? Or even if they live with their parents who are you to call them a leech? If they can support themselves or live with someone who can then i see no problem with playing 10 hours a day. I'm not judging them, im just saying they ARE leeching off society IF they exploit welfare payments, nowhere did i say they were winning the lotto or living with their parents. Basically, read the post before, in particular this quote.
  17. That doesn't effect me. So a few people got lucky, that happens with sigils, godswords, and visages every day. What does effect me is hordes of green dragon bots, hunter bots, puro puro bots, mining bots, etc. Which not only drive down prices but also steal your resources.

I'm pretty sure you need reflexes for PVP. I'm a pretty regular FPS gamer and not too bad even if i say so myself, but even f2p PVP is pretty hard (all i can do ATM), but when you get to member pking, switching between 3 tabs and cycling 2-3 attack styles with armors/amulets/capes to boot while making sure you don't get LOLKOED by claws... Some bosses are ridiculous though, i don't know how people consider DT hard :)
  19. Good for them, for being smart enough to find a way to do what they want. Yea, but he said in his post that they werent leeching off society, when its obvious that they are.

Really? My friend took a whole summer holidays to get to 80 (Or was it 70). Yea, depends if you want every quest or not, and actually the highest quest requirement is something like 80 magic isnt it? My goal in RS is to simply be able to PK well, which doesn't require all the quests and is my version of the "endgame", i could technically grind even more after that just to hit a few hits higher, but theres a certain point where all i could do in RS is PK, play minigames i like, etc. Runescape has lots of content, and to access all of it you do need ridiculously high levels. But the thing is you don't NEED to access all the content (well, maybe you do, i don't). Yea im poor :)
  21. Sir_Kurity replied to Kietaro1's topic in General Discussion
Thats simplistic. We all play the same game, but we have vastly differing views. As for runescape having more grinding. Yes, it does technically contain more grinding than other MMO's, with what, 20 skills to grind. But you don't really need to do all the grinding to have fun. Quest requirements and the like which aren't to hard is enough to have fun. Unlike say WOW, you don't really need to be maxed to have fun. (Never played WoW, but everyone says the game starts at 80 or something)
  22. Sir_Kurity replied to Kietaro1's topic in General Discussion
I love it when people repeat the same point over and over again. Pretty sure ive only said that once. Thats the problem really. Sometimes grindings forced. To do the quests i currently want to do, in order to have more fun PKing, i have to do an uncomfortable amount of grinding. No, i don't get off on grinding, but when the game forces it on you theres nothing you can do about it aside from quitting all togehor. Unfortunately for me, most other MMO's are pretty much the same way. In order to access higher level content, theres the in between grind period.
  23. But you ARE leeching off society if you exploit welfare payments and play RS for 10 hours a day.

LOL. Try a calculator, leave gaming to people who enjoy more than numbers. and you should leave runescape to people who enjoy runescape. mr. runescape is a terrible game and i have no fun playing it And yet still frequents a runescape forum for some yet unforseen reason.
  25. Sir_Kurity replied to Kietaro1's topic in General Discussion
Really the only thing i find fun in this game is merching, questing, and pking, plus SOME minigames (most of which are pking based anyway, like cwars) A successful flip always gives me a warm fuzzy feeling :) Unfortunately my love for pking and my love for quests somewhat conflicts because i am limited by my defence, but ahh well.
