The botting still persists
My friend (who i refuse to report on principle), has a bot with an auto responder, not just quickchat. I'm guessing its fairly easy to guess its a bot, but these things are getting more advanced o.O

Dungeoneering Rants.
Kicking him reduces your XP. The sad thing is, even if all he did was sit in base headbanging, you would be better off with him. No it doesn't... You wait until you open all doors and find boss, THEN you kick him. You get same xp in 5:5 with 4 people and 5:5 with 5 people... That works? Sweet gotta try it :)

Ahh, but money is easier to get now than it ever was. See the thing with inflation is, though the prices may go up, so does the earning power of the average player. There was a time where i wouldnt dream of risking a dark bow other than to LOLPJ and 1 item or similar, nowdays i could care less about it.

Runescape on xkcd
Runescape isn't an underdog. RS is already the second most popular MMO after World of Warcraft. This is all about perception, not statistical data. Wow really? I mean, I knew it was the most popular free MMO, but it's really that high up in general as well? That actually surprises me  Well... Being free kinda adds to the popularity don't you think? Also why isnt the river grind running through RS?

Yea range can risk a rune Xbow and like 10 d'bolts and be pretty powerful with little effort. Add a couple of javs or a dark bow and you really got a good thing going :).

Black knights have defence. So no.

Korasi's Sword: is it Balanced?
you do realize claws can hit over 1000 right That argument doesn't quite fly when you're relying on a total of 8 different rolls of the dice in your favour. You'd have to hit four times, and be at near max hit for each of those attacks. I guess this really calls for some experiments, but there's some serious power behind magic based melee. I don't think you really know how claws work...

How about just remove MVP. I love the people who decide to make full fractite in a 5:5 small, being the person with one of the keys for door A, taking 10 minutes to get there because hes to busy trying out his new armor, and then thinking hes the best player because hes "MVP"

Recycling Old Holiday Rewards
I've missed out on it too (didn't play during the event, fml), but I think that the brooch is an inferior ripoff compared to the egg. It's just not the same, and looks like Jagex just wanted to pacify the crowds by giving them kiddies a reward they won't use after the event (or god forbid, this week). Having said that, the event itself was great, and I loved some of the references/puns they put in there. Too bad the reward was garbage compared to the actual event. I donno, i think it will be fun to play around with in PVP. Rawr, *Unequips brooch*, *Teleblocks*.

Monster hunting. Melee is best when maxed out, practically every high level slayer i know uses melee Ranged is second best, i think its up there with melee if you just wan't to camp a monster. Mage is the worst. Useful for a few select things, and horridly overpriced for general monster hunting. PVP. There is no combination of 150 attack and strength which matches the accuracy and power of 99 ranged without stupid things like risking chaotic. Ranged is probably the best for edge. Mage is the best for hybriding, used rarely in edge as everyone just runs. Clan PVP. Mage blows everything out of the water. Ranged is a second. Don't even bother with melee if you wan't to live. ---------------------------------------------- Personally, i think its well balanced. That depends on your point of view. As a PKer, melee is my least desired skill.

Noobs say the funniest things!
I normally add people even if i met them for 5 seconds. Though, "gay[bleep]man" as a name would kinda be a turn off...

Partyhats
The thing with actively merchanting short term is that its not that much easier to make money with say, 500 mill than say, 200 mill. So why not throw 300 mill of that into say, 3 santa hats, wait for them to rise. And then spend that 200 mill flipping making pretty much what you made at 500 mill.

No reason hard quests can't have low requirements. You're contradicting yourself there. Hard =/= grind, i think we've been over this. I donno, thats not my problem. But if the only way jagex can make "hard" content is to throw in excessive grind requirements, well then you may as well not even make it hard. And this is different from making low level players rage? Plus, reflex bosses don't need to be split second reflex bosses, and theres no reason it can't be alleviated somewhat by simply having higher stats. High level players fighting boss A would have an easier time, reflex boss or not, simply because they would kill it faster and high stats would mean missing a step would be unrealistic. Low level players might need faster reflexes, but at least they have the option of doing the quest, even if it is harder for them.

Is RuneScape filling a void?
Gaming is a hobby, so thus, runescape is a hobby. So i guess that when runescape is my game of choice, yea, its filling a void.

The problem is having to excessively grind for content... Also, whats the problem with low requirements?

Flaming
Yea, people need to get that low requirements don't suddenly mean its useless and crap for high levels.
