  1. Hey don't blame the players. Jagex makes a system where a significant majority of bosses, and a good portion of skills are all negatively effected by competition and which people with higher skill levels (or in mining/single combat areas, faster reflexes), have a better chance in the competition. Naturally theres going to be competition. Unless theres a unified "lets not crash" effort, its not going to happen. And with the limited amount of worlds in some places like bandos, that would never work. If i want an ore, and someone is in my spot. I'm going to kick them out of it, its as simple as that.
  2. Of course i don't use one, but if i had one.... No, my point was that its been going down in relative price for a long time now. You answered your own question. What about RC? Have you see nature rune prices recently? And this is just one skill out of many.
  3. Well, that guy with an addy picks self benefit isnt woth more than my self benefit. If i purposely don't crash him, im harming myself for the benefit of others, and i just don't care enough about my fellow peers to do that.
  4. Seeing as its natural for players to want to reduce grind (its the reason bots are so popular ), its unsuprising that a significant proportion of emergent gameplay is based around minimising this grind. Pfft "not in spirit of the game" is so dam subjective. If were doing anything outside jagex prescribed rules its suddenly "against the spirit of the game". You make an account to use in PVP worlds? "Not in the spirit of the game bro"
  5. How does jagex differentiate a GE snipe bot and a normal sniper? I've done some sniping myself, and i can tell you its just starting at the screen and waiting for the GE notifier, while pressing the buttons everynow and then to prevent logoff. So what? Unless they were all banned at once itil still be just as impossible to snipe a phat. Theres hundreds of snipe bots, and hundreds of normal players who also want to snipe the item. Its simply not a legitimate option for a normal player to take unless your very, very lucky. And considering sniping is pretty much the only way your gonna get a phat off GE...
  6. Depends on the context. In PVP, its all about getting the most out of your combat level. And because maxing melee takes far more levels than maxing mage, it may not be worth it, melee's equavalent to 99 ranged (combat level wise) is 150 combined attack and strength. And really, ranged and magic wins that battle. Its why ranged tanks are so powerful, because they can get such high ranged/mage and defence at a relatively low level compared to those who have high melee stats.
  7. Imo, f2p mage needs snare + wave spells. Ranged is fine.
  8. My time is more important to me than the minor price involved with using a chaotic. And i never contested otherwise o.O Dungeoneering has been out for AGES, and it holds some of the best weapons and items in the game that end up benifiting almost every skill or activity. Never said they have, just said theres been stagnation. Outside combat, theres skilling, and skilling is effected by stagnation of raw material prices due to bots and other factors. I mean look at runecrafting...
  9. I completely disagree with you. If you stick to it, you can achieve it. I have gone through acquiring one without having any rares beforehand, and I've seen many other people who have also. Your truth is a lie. You buy Phats with StreetPrice, not G.E. price. Starting out as poor gets you nowhere close to the SP unless you learn to flip. Wrong, Phats can be bought at G.E price, it is incredibly hard, but it can definately be done. Do you know why phats rise in ge? Because enough of them are being sold to rise. I'm not quite sure how G.E updates work, but it has something to do with the quantities being sold or whether its sold or not. For example, look at the rarest item in the game.(http://services.runescape.com/m=itemdb_rs/Christmas_cracker/viewitem.ws?obj=962) In 180 days, it's probably been sold in g.e under 5 times. Hence the price doesnt change. Theres so many GE snipe bots out there its nigh impossible for a normal player to do this.
  10. So true. The amount of times jagex has used that term, my god...
  11. You cannot be serious. Even the worst teams don't even take 2 hours.
  12. This. If Jagex was serious about botting they would limit the grinding in the game as much as possible. Obviously, the subscription money means more to them. You probably didn't notice, but Jagex released a new skill about 6 months ago that is nearly impossible to bot and much less of a grind than your average skill. I'd like to see more stuff like this. In addition, distractions and diversions are all quick tasks to take some time away from simply doing the same skill over and over, and although it may be frustrating running from place to place, it's something different. True and true, unfortunately this doesn't hold true for the other 20 skills in the game.
  13. *Bots so he can have turmoil at 1 def* in all seriousness, i don't see this as a decent punishment, especially if you do the skill for money.
  14. Theres no rule that says members = addiction. Even if your a casual player, its still worth getting members.
  15. Just get members, and keep members. If you play actively, theres no real reason to be F2p outside a few special circumstances.
  16. Yea, bar something done by jagex which would make alot of merchers rage. Once its gone, you probably won't be able to get it back o.O
  17. Everyone with a chaotic weapon pretty much has no reason to use whip. Its only what, 200k an hour? Its miniscule compared to time saved due to accuracy and strength of rapier. I never said it peaked nor does it have demand. o.O Thats why i said stagnation in raw material prices IS a problem. But generally speaking, its easier to get money. Hunting green dragons for example (which was always a decent money making method) gives much more than it did before.
  18. Telekenetic grab. Nothing would be safe.
  19. Spectral? Thats like the bastard child of the actually good spirit shields :)
  20. If people are complaining about rewards im going to slap someone. Castle wars has always been my favorite minigame though.
  21. tbh free trade is more realistic then automatic dropping coming back. That would make things too easy If dropping is the only thing making a skill hard i think its the skill that needs fixing. I couldn't agree more. I've been saying the exact same sentence for years, but neither Jagex nor the Runescape community will admit that it's poor game design to make a skill "difficult" simply by annoying the player and making it inconvenient to drop materials. Admittedly, it would be hard to fix. Too many skills are like this at this point.
  22. Wuts wrong with castle wars? I loved that game
  23. Oh my god i want.
  24. Thats the thing, in theorryyy. Dung isnt balanced very well for low levels ive found.
