  1. Sorry i forgot to add herb farming. Yea if you want total levels, just do tree runs. Herbs are only good for money, and if your really going for high total level/XP farming trees will mean it probably overtakes some of the slower skills like runecrafting.
  2. Well, if you don't care about money AT ALL, herb farmings probably not worth it anyway.
  3. Yea.. thats no reason to have an inbalanced combat triangle... Everyone has equal access to all skills, lets just make one of them completely useless for combat.
  4. Well yea, merchanting is kinda to increase your cash pile.
  5. I actually think that would be an awesome buisness plan if i were jagex.
  6. Second-highest, if halos count. (And I would argue that they do.) Halos technically have no prayer bonus. But yea, true. Halos only take what, 100 hours to get on average. As opposed to the ridiculous price for wreath now which with phats as a street price would be worth far, far more than 100 hours. Then again, none of these new items are ever wanted for the stats =D
  7. Magic? Defence? Crafting? Farming? (Would be an epic troll to f2p players).
  8. Or just get as much prayer as you can to benefit more from prayer altars in dg and pray doors. When dungenoeering, I usually get one of the skillers to pick up all of the b bones and give them to me by the end of the dungeon/ when I find an altar. Who said free players oouldn't have BoBs? :P Iono, because your "bob" is a bunch of demanding skillers who go afk at the most inopportune times and get 1 hit koed with frightening regularity?
  9. Id say reuniting the lost diamonds of azzanadra and trekking through an ancient pyramid so you can learn the ancient secrets of a new and immensely powerful spellbook is pretty epic for any player, even if it is avaliable to lower levels. Hey im in full support of that.
  10. Its an imperfect analogy, plus, theres no reason kid 3 doesn't have an xbox of his own, are you trying to imply that its a burden for a high level to complete mid level content? Because the reality is quite the opposite. The high level (kid 3), has easy access to all things kid 1 and 2 has, but not the other way around, high levels can do void stares back, low levels can't. No MMO can be cleared in a week of casual play o.O When a game stops being fun, its generally what you do. If it hasent been fun for a long time, well then you should have quit a long time ago. My endgame isnt the same as your endgame. Being able to self sufficiently PK with maybe the occasional farm run in between and maybe some dungeoneering is my final goal in runescape.
  11. with the Amulet of zealots, it is good. That things f2p? Jagex, suprises me every day.
  12. You could always, not get prayer. Doesn't offer anything relevant past 45 in f2p anyway.
  13. I'll have quit or have PVP as my endgame by that point, runescape has alot of content you see, you just need to embrace it. Also id say im a mid level player, quite a bit of gametime put into this guy. He can share it just fine, as i said before, much content is enjoyed more by the high level than the low level. Most PVPesque minigames and PVP in general are a great example. As well as most dungeons, dungeoneering in general, etc. Rewards can always be level/QP specific, even if quests aren't. Take blood pact for example. Even though the hats just an e-peen enlarger and the quest probably wasent fun for anybody level 3 or level 100, its a little something for the more experienced players who complete the quest. In PVP, korasis sword saves ALOT of time, and ALOT of money. Its a favored spec weapon for a variety of reasons. Oh, yea, thanks. Guild wars, max level can be done in literally hours, infact im pretty sure you can skip it altogthor and jump straight into PVP. Come to think of it the only MMO's i can think of where "endgame" takes 2000 hours to get are those ridiculous korean ones like maplestory. I wouldn't mind a gradual rise to high level content. But really, demanding that most content be endgame is a bit ridiculous when it takes over 2000 hours to get. Nor did you prove yours. Such things are subjective and can't really be proved.
  14. Mid level IS for everyone, i thought we have already been through this. Just because mid levels have access to the quest doesn't mean that high levels can't do it. And you seem to have this strange idea that your entitled to your own exclusive content just because you have the perseverance to grind multiple skills into the high 90's, how selfish of you. As i said in my previous post, i don't mind exclusive content tailored to a certain playerbase dependant on situation, the whole "endgame" thing in WoW is a fine system because it only takes 120-150 hours to get to. But when getting to that certain playerbase such as in runescape takes hundreds, maybe even 1000+ hours of "gameplay" to get to that point, you begin to wonder. Anyone feeling some deja vu here... If new content isnt fun to you, maybe you should look into another game. I find many quests and minigames fun even if they don't provide a good reward by the end of it, castle wars is a perfect example which until recently (and even now), have crap rewards. Korasi's sword is a PVP spec weapon up there with claws, as its uneffected by defence and literally cannot miss, as well as having no easy counter like a phoenix neck. Also in PVP your not likely to be risking claws, its also a great combination in tandem with claws, because korasis is uneffected by phoenix neck, but claws is good for initial spec before the phoenix neck is weilded.
  15. Your right, i am making a conscious decision to not train my stats to the high 90's because it wouldn't be fun to do so. But the thing is that content does not need to be exclusively high leveled content. Theres no magic rule that says you can't do void stares back because your too high a level. Ohh no, only mid level players allowed here, your too powerful for our pest queen. I'm afraid your going to have to sit in a corner and grind agility now. You can do void stares back just as any other player with the requirements can. And whether or not its exclusive to you should make little difference. And before you say void stares back has crap rewards. Theres a reason everyone in PVP wants it and/or is calling for a nerf. Your analogy is literally [developmentally delayed]ed. Kid 1 gets as you described. Kid 2 gets as you described. Kid 3 gets everything that kid 1 and kid 2 gets, as well as being able to enjoy the XBOX more because of having more games, better games and better motor skills. You know what the difference is? WoW (the most successful MMO), it takes 120+ hours to get to endgame, and thus the concentrated content at endgame means that, although there may be grind before the endgame its relatively quick to get there, then you can enjoy 99% of content. Runescape's endgame by your definition takes over 2000 hours to get. And if all the content was concentrated there, this game would be DEAD. If a player went here and spent 120, even 200 hours here on RS, and then could only access 5% of the game, he would probably ragequit.
  16. Because WoW is another MMO which people have a habit of calling a grindfest. The fact that a single quest has requirements equavalent to max a whole character in wow, and that you still consider that a low level... At 2 hours a day it takes about 2 months yes, thats a reasonable amount of time. Throwing quests at you that require 92 agility won't actually make you any happier than if they required 80 agility, assuming its the same quest either way. You made a conscious decision to train a skill to 90+ despite there being no significant rewards for it, and now that youve done it your demanding content for that high level to the exclusion of others.
  17. Fun fact. To get the requirements for void stares back (which you insist on calling a low level quest), takes over 7 million XP, at say 60k XP an hour thats 125 hours, about the time it takes to max a WoW character. I consider a character high dependant on how much gametime it would take to get to that point, and 125 hours is pretty high for a single quest. One does not have to be maxed or near maxed to be a high level. Id say thats a failing in the way the skills are designed.
  18. Considering 92 in a skill takes anywhere from 60-120+ hours of grind dependant on skill. (According to various sources, this a bit less than how long it takes to max level a WoW character), id say thats pretty dam more than high, especially because this is a SINGLE skill.
  19. Correction, all level content. I love how you just ignore the fact that the majority of fun content encompasses all levels, and high levels often get to enjoy new content better than low levels due simply because of the nature of the content. Yea it is, perfect example below. EDIT: I'll never understand why low-level players are so selfish. See, i personally can't believe you classed someone with 93 million XP as a low level. At a 60k XP/HR average XP rate (which is pretty dam efficient even by your standards), thats at least 1500 hours of gameplay, which is anything but low... Pretty dam subjective it seems.
  20. Well, jagex has labeled it a grandmaster quest, and they've always said those were for the most elite of players. Making frog leather armor is technically the same experience as making black d'hide armor, as for enjoying it i think that falls under content that no one enjoys... Unless you DIY it, which i've always found reasonably satistfying. Plus, and i don't enjoy getting dominated in castle wars by maxed level tanks, or turmoil claw rushed in FOG in which the round literally ends in 30 seconds, but you don't see me complaining. (or didnt)
  21. High level is subjective, whats high for some people is low for others. I consider anyone with multiple stats in the 80's as pretty darn high, though for you thats probably the definition of noob. Just because content is avaliable to us doesn't mean that high levels enjoy it any less. I think you need to reacquaint yourself with the definition of selfish, as it's the high levels which are demanding the exclusive content. Infact, if anything, they enjoy it more. Soul wars for example was technically content for everyone, but high levels enjoy it more because they can come in with there ancient magics, spirit shields and other insane tank armor while ripping everyone else apart. Same with any other PVP related update including PVP worlds themselves (esp if you pk in high level wildy).
  22. High levels subjective, id say a quest with a 100+ combat reccomendation, a hard boss fight and requirements in the 70's+ as pretty high level to me. Whut? High levels can enjoy mid level content, and in all combat related activities, dominate it with ease, (EG, FOG, castle wars, pvp and the like).
  23. As opposed to what, not doing it just so all the oldbies can feel special about themselves.
  24. Never said they were, but then again, running back and forth from the alter is hardly my primary form of entertainment. Nature runes are the primary crashing rune. Which as its one of the highest profiting runes for runecrafters effects runecrafters far more. Shop run profits are gained from chocolate, water & earth runes, broad bolts, feathers, vial packs, and sometimes death runes. Actually shop/herb runs take a very short amount of time for the profit gained, and i don't care about XP/hr because thats only good for being an E-peen enlarger, which i could care less about. Its not up there with frost dragon hunting and the like, but its requirements are significantly lower, and as a pure its pretty much the best option i have until i get 85 dungeoneering or want to give myself carpel tunnel by herb cleaning. I'm never getting a rapier. As a pure im not intending to raise my combat level to such lengths. I do however know that its stats are significantly better than whip, and thus, i would use one if i had access to it.
  25. 2 minutes of merching makes the rest of my time on runescape both easier and funner. No reason not to do it if you know how to merch. Plus, f2p sucks anyway so isnt even worth my time to play for real. So, RC won't help anyones farming or any other level. So this is an irrelevant point. With 3 herb runs a day (before school, after school, and before bed) its about ~400k a day with 5 minutes each run, on weekends its 4 herb runs a day, the rest of it is made with rune runs (runes are cheaper in store than they are in GE). Haven't finished questing myself up to the 1.4 mill mark, but it shouldn't take long now , and it definately takes less time than getting 91 RC. So you've never used a whip? Hell no. o.O Why are you interrogating me on my methods again, are you trying to prove a point?
