Fun.
Stimuli has the same number of sylables as your name, so i'm thinking you need to get your head out of your ass. Point proven. Now please tell me why you felt this was an attack on you as opposed to all the other people who said the same word for the past several pages............ I'm sorry :(

Yet you continue to present your argument as such. As your argument has reached personal attacks, you are losing creditability. I'm afraid the moral highground isnt avaliable to me, but the rest of your post is win. I'm pretty sure ive said its possible for the mentally challenged, if not, forgive me. Cooking on its own is a 1 minute second loop with a predefined 7 clicks at the end of the loop, it literally continues like this forever with no variation. And i don't particularly care whether or not its fun with external stimuli, because this applys to any activity. The fact you must distract yourself from the cooking means its clearly incredibly boring on its own and not fun enough in its own right. Wow you have the memory of a goldfish. Unless im discussing the fundamental "fun" of cooking, i don't seperate the skill, i thought you would have remembered that.

Yet you continue to present your argument as such. "thats the external stimuli being fun, not the actual skill." Again, learn to read, my argument is that the skill isnt fun, any external stimuli is as the name implys, external.

Fun.
Significant flaws? Just because i don't consider external activity to be in any way related to cooking is not a significant flaw. The fact you have to distract yourself with external activity means that cooking isnt fun enough on its own. You seem to be adamant that people stare at their screens while they train AFK skills. Is it because you, yourself, do that? I'm afraid that you're in the minority. Never said they do, infact i acknowleged that people don't, i'm afraid you need to learn to read. I'm saying the skill isnt fun, its the external stimuli which is.

I can do that, because we are talking about cooking being fun, not x activity. If it wanted to talk about x activity being fun, i would do so. But seeing as we are talking about COOKING being fun, we talk about the cooking. We all know almost anything, including watching paint dry, can be fun if your doing something else at the same time, that doesn't make watching paint dry in any way fun. And ill ask you again, does the cooking rocktails actually improve your experience of talking to your friends or watching a movie?

I'm not, ive acknowledged that external stimuli can be fun, and i myself find skills preferable when i can spend most of my time reading these forums. Doesn't stop cooking from being hilariously boring. Can you have a good time talking to friends or watching a show while you train cooking in Runescape? Training cooking while you do something else is commonplace. The overall experience of training cooking is what must be taken into consideration when deciding whether or not it's fun. No it doesn't, because its the talking to friends that is fun. Sure, afkable skills are better because at least you have the option to do something fun at the same time (unlike a certain agile skill), but the fact remains that the cooking won't improve your overall experience of talking to friends or watching a show, if anything its the other way around. Exactly, skills should be fun in themselves, or at least have the option to be fun in themselves, and anyone saying they have fun because its afkable isnt having fun in the game, but having fun OUTSIDE runescape, which is kinda the opposite of what your trying to get out of a game.

Ive acknowleged that. But again, thats the external stimuli being fun, not the actual skill. I don't think ive disputed that. The movie can be improved by external stimuli but the movies still the same movie. So your argument is that cooking is fun because you don't want, or need to concentrate on it. As i said, if you ever find cooking fun, you can generally attribute that to the external stimuli, and realize that the cooking is just a [cabbage]boring filler on a 20 second loop. Why AFK train cooking while watching TV when i can just concentrate my attention on TV and not give 2 craps about the boringest skill in the game. It has every basis in reality. Cooking is boring, doing other stuff is fun, just because you combine the two doesn't mean that cooking is in any way improved. If anything, having to click the screen every 20 seconds or so is diminishing my actual fun. At the risk of sounding like a criminal. I can see how planning out peoples murders can be fun, stealth games attest to that. I can't see how clicking a log and a tinderbox 27 times, banking, and then looping it about 3000 times can in any way be fun in an extended time period.

My justification was right there. I can do naught but guess, but comparing the price to abby whip has given me the end result of 500k ??? Ive never made a significant loss merching. Applies to runes just as much as it does to herbs. I'll have you know ive never had trouble selling herbs though, even the seemingly useless things like oranges sell with ease. Be happy i guess, but runecrafting is pretty crap money, once a great skill, now its sorta meh. Doing dailys combined with farming takes far less effort to get than say 80-90 runecrafting, while at the same time providing more money. As a pure i use brine sabre for melee (soon to be D'Scim), and rune xbow (trying to get broad bolts and/or crystal bow) for ranged.

Because humans just don't find watching a 5 second loop fun of some random graphically challenged person bending over a fire as "fun". Fun is subjective, but its not THAT subjective.

My suggestion is probably most definately against the rules. But if you've heard of those pin shops that sell pins for like 4 dollars instead of 5.50, and isn't screwed up by jagex fail logic that makes australians pay twice the amount of money despite our exchange rate being on par with americans. Id play it safe, but apparently it works.

500k, maybe less i would think. Its hard to tell because of uneven inflation. But keep in mind that at a certain point dark bow was only slightly cheaper than abby whip, and abby whip is now over 3 mill. At the moment im f2p, and all i do is merch. When im member i do regular farm runs while merching, I'm also trying to get into daily runs (1.5 mill in 45 minutes, better than 99 RC in my book). Leaves me alot of time for the copious amount of quests i have to do for ancient curses and the like.

50 defense, Ruined?
I don't see it happening unless you pretty much go main. Your melee stats are already far too high for range tank, your defence level is too high for zerker unless the person got you 50 defence by questing all the right quests, so your only real resource is 70+ for barrows, and by that time your pretty much a main.
-
Does def matter in a range tank?
I think the "tank" kinda implys defence.

As far as im concerned. 1. Its legal. 2. Your not harming anyone. 3. Your having more fun. (this may be somewhat subjective, but more content = more options = more fun = yea you get the idea) 4. Its cheap (again subjective, but i could be on minimum wage and get enough in a week for like 2 years of membership. "Rwt" or not, theres really no reason not to get member if you find it more enjoyable.

Fun.
The big bang theory is the fun part, the yew longbows are just there. You don't see me going watching a movie commenting on how fun it was to sit in the seats and eat the popcorn, its the MOVIE thats fun, not random filler crap that you decide to do while watching the actual fun thing. Thats because (from my limited TD knowledge), TD's actually require a degree of human interaction to kill, as opposed to watching the same 20 second loop go 300 times with a minimal of mouse movement. But you can feel a sense of achievement from anything in life, so its best not to complicate matters by including a sense of "achievement", Thats because having a good time with friends actually IS fun, fletching yew longbows for X hours is not. Its not fun, period. If it is in anyway fun i could probably attribute that to external stimuli like talking to friends or watching a movie, in which its still not fun, its the external stimuli which is being fun.

Of course, but it gets to the point where you have a predefined formula for every slayer monster and its really not that variable. I think killing stuff is relatively fun as well, but its pretty much the same for me, slayer monster or no slayer monster. In the limited slayer i did it was pretty much just moving from monster A to monster B with full inventory of food and laughing at how cheap safespots are. PVP, quests, and some minigames (mostly the PVP related ones) is the only thing i actually enjoy in runescape, everything else feels like a grind if its done to excess. Though i can see how making monsters literally fall apart around you would be interesting, personally ive never got to this level in slayer/combat and probably never will so i can't really comment on how fun slayer is at higher levels.

Thats a biased assumption. Many people, i included, "hate" it because they simply dislike the mechanics of the minigame. Quite frankly its quite dull and boring for me and i would much rather spend my time in castle wars or SC, plus until GGSes came out more than half the time was spent traversing empty rooms to open a door on the other side of the map. This isnt even mentioning the constant lag.

Since slayer was released. A scenery change doesn't make it any more or less of a grind.
