Been gone for a while
Badgers replied to lol000999's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
^ Ummm, what's wrong with them ;_;, they don't seem that bad to me I just keep spending my money on my house instead of skills at the moment but backing away from combat to get my total up some more. You have to be 99 slayer and have a 800m BoB to get a good rate here nowadays. Anyways, I like it, your stats get what you want done and you play the way you want to. 9/10, and goodluck with the quest cape. -
First of all, I'd dearly love to see proof of Jagex saying any of this. Second, you'd prefer an easier, but longer quest? Sorry, I guess I just prefer a little challenge in my gaming. It sounds like you didn't want a GM quest at all. By admitting the the boss is too strong to be considered a master quest, you defeat your own point. It's obviously more difficult than just master, so it must be a... ? Right. Actually, you made my point. The difficulty of the boss fight made it it's own contradiction. If they wanted a boss fight this difficult then the quest should be a GM and have more to it. A lot more to it. And I'm not gonna find where they said that as I have neither the time nor inclination to search old threads in the RS forums about it, if the thread is even there anymore. But again, I'm sorry. For you see, I forgot that Jagex was the corporate embodiment of Jesus Christ and is therefore completely infallable. Again, my mistake. Why are you assuming this quest isn't enough for grandmaster and making claims that Jagex did a bad job and named it the wrong rank when you haven't even done the quest. For all you know this could be incredibly large as far as impact goes in WGS and will lead up to another grandmaster quest. Let Jagex do there thing and criticize their updates AFTER you complete them.. Ah yes, well I haven't done it no. As I initially said, I was going by what my brother had to say, but also from my friends tell me, it confirms what Ive heard. This quest is for all intensive purposes a puzzle and a boss fight. That doesn't make it worth of GM in my eyes. I've also played WoW. The in game quests are crap and the stories suck. The lore outisde of the game is great yes, but in game, not so much. And with that, I've said all I needed to say. Some people will see what I mean, and some won't. Yes, but all you've done is criticize the update without exploring the actual content. Instead of bickering with people about whether or not the quest is worthy of grandmaster status without any first hand experience, do the quest and decide for yourself. What if those puzzles take you hours to complete? I'm sure your opinion will be changed if you actually do it.

I think 2010 is going to be much more heavily focused on Jagex expanding from their java roots to other means of development, which probably means we'll be seeing alot more games like this out of the blue.

Iron knives still buy in the Grand Exchange, go with those if you want. I got 100k of them in under 2 days. -
Well, I recently decided to start getting my terrible construction up, but I'm a bit lost as to where the best place to woodcut teaks/mahoganies is. I'd preferably like to have an available bank, but I've heard that the Tai bo Wanna cutting area works pretty well.

Champions' Challenge - more than meets the eye?
Badgers replied to Jard_Y_Dooku's topic in General Discussion
So basically, you want the reward for doing 500+ hours of playing, to be no better than anything else in game? What gives people who have done 30 hours of GWD or TD's to buy the best gear, any right over those who do this to have the best gear? The gear or reward given should be better than anything in the game currently, but as i say, it won't be a game-breaker, just slightly better as a reward, but not a forced task. Why do you stubbornly refuse to comprehend that making something that is better than everything else is inherently game breaking, and inherently forces people to aim for it? It really is pretty self-explanatory. The reason I feel there shouldn't be such a reward for it is that I feel that the minigame shouldn't work like this in the first place, no single minigame should require 500 hours, (or indeed the 1200+ hours predicted in the future), of playing time to complete, for obvious reasons. A reward that is slightly better than what is currently out there would not be a game-breaker, and only those who are incredibly stupid or have too much time on their hands would waste 500 hours getting it. It would purely be a reward for those who are doing the challenge to complete it, not going for it for the reward. So why reward it.......? And especially why reward it with an item that's the best in the game.....? Thanks for shooting yourself in the foot there, I know I've shot it for you enough but now I'm pretty sure I've won. Polnar, you seem more interested in proving him wrong and provoking argument then actually contributing to the conversation.... I agree that the minigame should have some reward, and I think that it should be something good enough to give the Champion of Champions a reward, but not incentive to have people spend hours and hours on a minigame JUST for the reward. -
You can buy it in the GE if you get an offer in within 30 seconds of a price update. Otherwise you will not be able to buy it via the GE. If your going to try and get for cash I wish you luck; street price is around 400M, but those offers tend to get sucked up quickly by merchants. Thanks, I understand a bit but can you tell me why this happens? Also, what's a good way to keep up with Grand Exchange updates. On a different note, I just bought a green mask for 10m and junk, am I going to profit in the long run?
-
I've been saving up for a while now, but I have no idea the street price for green phats. Are they buyable at all in the Ge?

God :< What method are you using for training?

287, I agree with you OP that slayer is probably the most useless skill in the game, but that won't stop anyone on tip.it from nuking you because you're account doesn't fit their definition of "good." Free total levels i guess?

You know, people usually say what I'm about to say, as an act of sarcasm, But I am completely serious when I say: You must be the age of thirteen to play RuneScape. If not, you must be able to act like you're at least fourteen. You sir, cannot do either. E-fail. l0l tr0l3d This, successfull troll was successfull :-# -
