Soul runes aren't common enough for it to be this hyped up, I disagree. Perhaps they can do to RC what they've done to WC, Mining and Hunter? Give something with maaaaaaasive exp gains making it a highly trained skill.

The strange power affected f2p players, yes. But it doesn't mean that the future update hinted will be f2p. Say if the thing were actually Zaros, as a weakened god, wouldn't he still have enough power to affect everyone? There has been one untouched theory - Edicts of Guthix. The thing about balance and God banishment from the realm of Gielnor. If you're inferring that Zaros' return could have broken the Edicts then where have you been the past few weeks? :P TIFers have mentioned too many times that Zaros wasn't around for the Edicts; however that does not necessarily mean that he doesn't know about them. And if the update in question doesn't affect F2P in some way, shape or form, then it will be highly unfair of Jagex for doing that to them. It will make F2Pers think that they're just there so Jagex can just pull their strings. Another thing to back up my bazaar and pretty much random idea of the update being music based - Jagex seemed to change nomad to look like...... The geezer on the front of The Sickness by Disturbed; Maybe it could be an indication of more metal things? :D <----- random idea = Addy Dragons. :P SeewhatIdidthere?

Yea the clue could mean anything; however generally isn't it the same for all of the twitter updates? Like last week was about waves - many things have waves in RS. And tbf it wouldn't be surprising if the power surge did have something to do with this update....... Maybe Zaros could give us soul runes or something to help us control stuff? Or more powerful binding spells or something?

Touche, but still then although it'd come in useful in F2P what exact use would necromancy have in P2P? Would it be used in conjunction with summoning or something? Too many complexities arrive when contemplating that as a skill. And Jagex told us that it'll be "sometime" in 2010 that we get the new skill and we're only what?.......... oh? We're still in the first month! You can't expect them to work miricals eh? But if it is the new skill it would be amazing.

Life rune crafting ;) Life runes would require a new overhaul of the mage system, would probably need to incorporate a new book etc, it's too much for them I think. However I do hope it's something to do with RC like improving the exp system....... Also soul runes seem like the most likely thing what with there being pictures before of the cache with Soul alter and staff etc.

I have currently got 5 SC hammers sat in my bank waiting for me to try and attempt to get some smithing levels; however I have no idea what to make....... Would bolts be a good idea? I kinda want minimum loss, but I'm willing to shell out a little bit from my measly 23m cashpile. Cheers Ez x

On msn Draz seems pretty damn sure that Jagex are after him....... Seems like they're plotting to use his life essence on players who are willing or unwilling to take it (regardless), and just for the lulz they're getting the variety of Myself, Chee, and Iyis to join in. False Alarm on a bad update folks :)

It does look like that doesn't it? Could it be all those who are supporting Zaros return are coming together and seeing as the dead are coming back like this it could have had that effect? But that wouldn't explain the green robed geezer and it can't be good ol' Guthiiiiiiiiiiix because didn't he shape the world, bash his head, cry and then curl up with his blanky for 40 winks? But many people have noticed them...... it's interesting...... And to all those people who say Necromancy would be bad - don't forget this is an f2p event too what with this teaser and when the new skills comes out :P so therefore necromancy could very possibly be something.

am I the only one who finds the slug storyline really boring? especially with those embarrassing children chat heads (that are quite scary actually) OK can you tell us where you put MHL and why you have her brain? Yea, but what would a Jagex Mod gain from lying apart from giving Jagex an untrustworthy reputation...... The fact is if he's being sarcastic then it's totally lost over the internet as it's a faceless, expressionless thing, the only people who'd know for sure would be those around him IRL....... So...... If this is lies Jagex will get a [cabbage]storm.

Over the past pages and other topics that have now been locked it has been discussed ;p It can all be to do with Zaros, Zammy, Guthix, Lucien because it's all linked, even in F2P worlds :P Most f2pers don't really know the back story to it, but they know the God's are there and the basics. Who's the God with the influence to give you prayer? Who's always talked about as being the most evil of Gods? Who's always talked about as the God we should follow to try and keep balance? Each of the 3 main God's show their influence on RS in one way or another..... So wouldn't it be logical if such a powerful being like Zaros showed an effect on RS by exercising his power over us, again showing us that we're subservant to Gods? Or if Lucien became so powerful because of the stone of jas? :P It does make perfect sense thinking :)

Mod MMG chat and other people are saying that it's a new GWD boss needing mage gear, but I don't know as I can't get into the chat as it's too full.

It wouldn't have had that much of an effect on us if that had happened I don't think. Also if Lucien and Zammy were in a fight then I doubt that we wouldn't have heard of it. Last thing I know is that Lucien is trying to harness the Stone of Jas, maybe he succeeded? I mean he can bind Tormented Demons to his will, why not us? Guthix has no allegiance to good or evil, light or darkness, he is balance. People and lores say that he picks whichever side he needs to to keep the balance, so therefore there is every likelihood it is Guthix as maybe the power of the Gods has shifted what with Zaros coming back, and Sara and Arma still knocking around.

In the topic that I made I just posted this :P but it wont hurt to post it in this topic as unless they're merged I dare say mine will be locked - Could it be Zaros or Lucian, or actually Guthix return? You were saying that they mostly pointed to GWD; so....... Could it be related to that area next to sara GWD? Maybe guthix has got fed up and decided to have some fun? Or Zaros is using us like a puppet? Or Lucian is finding it hard to control his powers and is therefore burning himself up, so whilst trying to harness it he could be seeing if he can control us? Idk, sounds fun though :D

Hmm reading the other topics it might be more beneficial if the mods used their magic powers to merge the threads...... On a different note, it seems that everyone span to face gwd...... Could.... something have come from there? People have been hyped up about that area found in the cache and seen by people by sara GWD...... could something have been released? Or broken free? But still no one has considered the complexities that whatever it is can control us. I still say Zaros as it was brief...... But, could it have been Lucian? Maybe the new area might be his part to the GWD as he tries to own everything and everyone.

There are only 2 things that powerful in RS tbf...... Zaros and Draz....... Somehow Ima lean more towards Zaros exerting more influence on us..... However it's scary if he can use us as a puppet so easily.....

According to my friend Iyis EVERYONE in RS just stood still swayed, and a message of "A strange force exerts it's power on you"...... What do you think it is? I think it's Zaros personally or Drazhar44 somehow managed to get everybody on rs drunk at the same time? (happy nao draz? ;p)

So with my messed up body clock I come on RS to do the only thing I know that would send me to sleep - FARMING! Jagex seem to be working they way around the combat mini-games now, don't they? First soul wars with NR, now BA, what next? CW? Duel Arena? The only reason I'll probably consider doing this is for the horn..... and if that horn isn't permanent then it'll be annoying <_< but I dare say it'll have the same/higher reqs than the Torso <_<
