  1. I can guarantee you that they do. Introduce me to them sometime, that's all I'm going to say on this topic. Go to rogues den and ask who is having fun and enjoying themselves. I would bet that not all of them will be. The same if you asked people the same question to people who are firemaking or fletching. They may not be having fun at that moment. But why don't you ask them if they have ever had fun playing this game. People do things not because it is fun at that instant, but because it will be fun later, or was fun before. Yes, I hate firemaking, it is not fun. But EE was well worth it, and thus, I did have fun, just not lighting logs. No one starts playing runescape and says "This is the most boring thing ever, I think I will come back here and play for the next 3 and 1/2 years, just so I can gripe and whine while I get 99 cooking, fletching, woodcutting, and firemaking." A girl in my clan got 99 cooking at rogues den a bit ago. She didn't have fun doing it, I can guarantee that. I was a primary conversation partner with her via cc while she was roasting sharks. But now she has this cool new cape, and the ability to make a host of new outfits with it. (I guess somebody has to like that color purple, even if I don't) That is how she had fun. Just because someone is not having fun at that time does not mean they do not have fun playing Runescape. No one plays Runescape and does not have fun. OT: For the first article, it makes sense, but I do not see an easy fix. I do not see a way that Jagex can make skilling earn anything on par with MHing without causing huge inflation (while mining, you uncover a ancient artifact, swap it in at edge bank to Mandrith for money) Since most people find that having large amounts of money is far preferable to being permanently broke, quite a few people train skills in fast manners in order to finish quickly and get to making lots of money. How can you say that no one players runescape and does not have fun when in your statement you say you did not have fun while firemaking? That is the point of the whole article I think. People are willing to play a game where they are not having fun to have something small such as a cape at the end. Is it really worth it to spend hours of boredom for a pixelated item such as that, when you can be having much more fun going to a TET event for example? [/hide] I can say that because I am not stuck on the idea that "fun" means instant gratification. You seem to dislike people who spend time doing something that you do not find enjoyable, in order to achieve something that they desire. And yet, when I check your stats, I see a prominent trio of 99s, namly cooking, woodcutting, and fletching. I mean, "Is it really worth it to spend hours of boredom for a pixelated item such as that"? Also, just because I was not having fun firemaking does not mean that I wallow in a pit of boredom while playing this game. I was not having "fun" (your definition applies here, as best as I can gather) while firemaking, but not enjoying something is more like the normal order of things. Just because someone is bored/unhappy at some point in time does not automatically lock them into hating their existence for eternity. I do have fun playing Runescape, I have lots of fun in fact. I just do not enjoy firemaking. However, it is a necessary evil in order to further my own enjoyment. I think you are looking at the wrong account, I have none of those skills at 99, or even remotely high. Cooking 190,434 87 4,264,065 Woodcutting 620,504 79 1,854,745 Fletching 392,324 80 1,986,267 I don't dislike those who do things they don't find fun, heck I have done it a few times in the past. You seem to be grasping the wrong end of the stick, I'm not trying to offend people saying it is wrong or they shouldn't play like that, I am simply asking and discussing, is it actually worth it for us to play like that? Have people lost the ability to have pure fun without item based reward? Are skillcapes really worth it? When training the skill they often seem it, but when you actually obtain them, does it feel like a waste? My apologies, I did indeed click on the wrong account name. #-o And I do not think that people need item based rewards. I mean, I have plenty of fun w/o skill capes. And I happen to love barbarian assault, even though I already have full penance, a full master horn, and all that other cool stuff. I just teach my friends to play, and speed up their games by quite a bit because I am very good at that minigame. I don't play for the rewards anymore, I just dump my healer points into high level gamble, just so I can be rid of them and continue getting more  My point was that just because people at not having fun now does not mean they have never had fun playing rs. People who play rs do have fun playing it, at some point. Everyone who plays this game will have fun, and has had fun, at some point in their RS career. I think this is what bladewing meant, that no one plays this game who truly does not enjoy anything they do on Runescape. Everyone who plays this game does have fun at some point. If they are not enjoying the present, it is because they are in preparation to have different and more epic kinds of fun later on. They derive some sort of satisfaction completing things they may not, in and of themselves, be enjoyable.

  3. On the day Elite TTs were released you got much more items than you were supposed to from MTK Yes, to the tune of collecting on august 3rd, then going back on the 4th, you used that 75k, and got something like 58m worth of herbs and nests+seeds+30k maple logs. MTK is Manage Thy Kingdom. Miscellania to most people

  5. But who doesn't want free post count!     on topic i guess. everything crashes after a week or so. The new dragon masks appear to be not as rare as 3rd age, and the druidic 3rd age fails anyway. and the prices are high enough in ge to hopefully stop merchers latching onto those like they did crown and onyx.
  6. t8 zerker is useless if you have a spear like he does. Get the hood.
  7. I said Hi back. Why are you hating? :S Oops, i must be laboring under the false impression that "says pere grin the no namer, don't hyt me" is not a "Hi"
  8. because he has such a nice kind response when you say hi.
  9. this is an interesting idea. I have thought for a while that Jagex should put all discontinued items from banned accounts into the Ge for mid. Except the accounts banned because of phat duping of course. But even if an account got a 14 day ban for botting, why not just sell their rares in GE, and they come back to about 20% of the street value of their rare in cash. No more RWT selling rares for trade price....
  10. Hey, aren't you that climbing boots guy? :P But on topic again, mine is on public cause I'm just to lazy to go change it. Besides, if I ever get a visage, I'm gonna make sure that everybody knows it. :D

So I figured I might as well start one of these. So here we go. WARNING, CONTAINS LOTS OF PICTURES. [hide=Starting out] [/hide] [hide=Level ups!] [hide=76 Herblore] [/hide] [hide=77 Herblore] Forgot the second Screen Shot :/ [/hide] [hide=78 Herblore] [/hide] [hide=79 Herblore] [/hide] [hide=80 Herblore] [/hide] [hide=81 Herblore] [/hide] [hide=82 Herblore] [/hide] [hide=83 Herblore] [/hide] [hide=84 Herblore] [/hide] [hide=85 Herblore] [/hide] [hide=86 Herblore] [/hide] [hide=87 Herblore] [/hide] [hide=88 Herblore] [/hide] [hide=89 Herblore] [/hide] [hide=90 Herblore] [/hide] [/hide] [hide=Finished potions] In order, left to right. Extreme Melee Set (4), Extreme Melee Set (3), Spec Restore, Super Antifire, Super Energy, and my remaining Avantoe. [/hide] So that's what I have been up to recently. Hopefully getting Turmoil next, but I might just try to get 85 dungeon and then do frost dragons for that, since I would kind of like a Visage, and I would need only 14.3k Frost Drag Bones do get there, which is lots better then killing 31k green drags. Oh, and I guess I am supposed to introduce myself in my first blog, so w/e. I am Pere Grin, I play Runescape (obviously). I play pretty normally, with some efficiency, but I don't really worry about it that much if it starts interfering with the fun of the game. I enjoy random thing's like duoing the Chaos elemental, and Rev Hunting/agility training with my Penance Horn. Barbarian Assault is my favorite minigame, and Healer is my favorite role. I get most of my points by taking newbies through, and teaching them how to play the game the right way!! (read: not keep getting torsos without leveling up!) Oh, and now for the IRL part. I am 20 years old, in college, and majoring in Mechanical Engineering. I play more during the summer, as engineering projects tend to drag my attention elsewhere. I can program in C++ and a bit of C#. I also know how to use SolidWorks and SolidEdge (but I prefer SolidWorks). I work as a mechanic, and also in a coffee shop on the weekends. Oh, and the usual: I enjoy hanging out with friends, listening to music, blah blah.......you get the picture.

  13. wow, i checked lan's ad log a few days ago, and a draconic visage was at the bottom of it. Now it appears he got another one -.- It makes me wonder how many visages the top slayers get.
  14. [hide] im not sure why he did, he was a real world trader and at 25m a piece demonic thrones wuold have made him $100 irl ecah, so knowing hes a rwt idk why he did it Pretty sure he only started selling after he got tired of the game. You have to remember that accounts that sold gp got busted quite fast, you couldnt just go around for months selling your staking/merchanting profits. Just about all famous rich players that turned to RWT (that i know of), did it in a mad gp selling spree, to sell as much as possible before they got caught. Anyway, as xpx said, 223 gp/exp is unrealistic and that was the point of my post. I dont believe any of the top players have that kind of gp because if they did, they would be rushing through all the buyables, yet most of them arent so i dont think we'll see anyone using insanely expensive methods anytime soon. Bolded area would be incorrect. They did get busted, but not that fast. Cursed You managed to sell $17k in two months before "being caught". He claims that someone, somehow, got on his account. He was banned for RWT although Jagex, according to him, had no proof against him. He did admit to RWT, though. Same goes to all the top stakers who got banned for RWT: Raven, Fubupower, ect ect. http://www.di-rs.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=16803 I win, you loose. Gf That link does not take you to a page that says anything. Says some error occurred, the required files were missing and whatnot. Man, why do you have to act liek that? I hate people who act as if they know it all. The error was that I linked you directly to the topic, which is only available to registered users. Anyhow, same topic different style: http://www.di-rs.com/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t16803.html [/hide] I hope you were being scarcastic. I read the post, and found it interesting.

That's ridiculous. You have NO proof of them being a botter. None. All these "intelligent tricks" are nothing but idiotic ways to put your mind at ease that the person you know nothing about has done such an egregious thing you must ban them from the game. Sw0rd, back in the day you wouldn't even be legally old enough to play this game. I don't think you should think yourself up such a position as a "bot hunter." And now, I'd like for you to explain how you kill, trap, ridicule, and humiliate them. I want each method, or I don't want to see you posting on this again, since you would have just lied, and we don't need more liars on this forum. off topic: How do you ridicule/humiliate a machine... you humiliate a computer program the same way you hurt a rock's feelings! duh......................... :P
