SO?!?!? I agree, I really didn't like the "noobs wear the funnies things" post in the first place, and I find no reason to flame someone because they either dont want to take the time to get barrows gloves, or have the skill / take the time to get fire cape. Im 112 cbt, and still havnt bothered to try for fire cape. It really irks me when people rag on others for not having the best / top-line gear :P [/hide] I'm not saying he has to have the "best/top line gear" but for cheaper than the cost of all the gear hes using now he could get waaaaaaay more efficient armor. Do an easy quest to get a nezzy, sell tassets for verac skirt and a barrows torso at least and buy at least an obby shield. and tbh a 129 that doesnt have at least rune gloves kinda fails tbh Really, only thing that would help out xp/h noticeably in that pic is a salve ammy (e). Rest is probably trash he had in the bank, he grabbed quick to finish off a level or something. Who cares tho? On a side note, that is a pro name. Lucky find.

Skeletal Wyverns
I think you can out heal their ice breath if you use a maul+uni+soul split. That is the best way to kill them, that I have heard. CLS + DFS is the next best option.

What needs to be "Tweaked" in RS?
I'm trying not to sound like an elitist pking [puncture], but this really is one of the few reasons PVP even has a sliver of skill involved. And should be kept in for that reason alone. I really don't think PVP should just be completely about the random number generator, skill SHOULD be involved. Perhaps. I don't pk, so I wouldn't know much about that aspect. It just annoys me when I switch off of my CLS to EE, and I am at 80% spec or something.

Efficiency
Hello clown #2, short time no argue over semantics eh? MSN Encarta dictionary for you. ef·fi·cien·cy [ i físh'nsee ] (plural ef·fi·cien·cies) noun Definition: 1. competence: the ability to do something well or achieve a desired result without wasted energy or effort. emphasis on the highlighted words Haha! Never look at the last part of that sentence ever. Bold the middle. Bold the beginning. Tell everybody efficiency means happiness. Tell everybody that definitions of words are subjective. Standardized english is cruel. Make up new definitons of commonly used words. But, for god's sake never acknowledge the last part of that sentence because you'll know your clueless. Good job. You managed to ignore the fact that what you posted agreed exactly with the people you are arguing against. It takes a special kind of mind to be able to ignore your own shortcomings so readily. So instead of acknowledging that you are mistaken, you call names and spout drivel.

Fury or Claws
I think most people keep stacks of herbs in their banks anyway, so it wouldn't be a strain at all. I personally do 10 on herbs and 5 on maples (I kind of collect maples, and getting palm and magic seeds is always a nice surprise). Contradictory to what I said earlier, I've had claws multiple times and sold them multiple times, but I've ALWAYS kept my fury. Exactly this. When you buy a fury, I suggest doing it permanently. I would work towards claws, and keep the fury. That is what I am currently engaged in. Sold all my good gear to get 95 herby :/

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
I'm almost positive that neither of those are even close to 50/50. Lower end tt masks would be your best bet W2 GE the last few mornings said otherwise to me Looks like santas are going for about 99.7m in ge, and takes about 20 mins to buy. Not really sure what this means, cause i am pretty far away from the GE at this point.

Efficiency
Usually when people ask for Help and Advice, they're looking for the efficient way of doing it, you shouldn't need to ask for help on something fun #-o They will not realize this though. And the non-efficiency crowd simply cannot understand how people who enjoy efficiency actually enjoy it. They view us as having an unfair advantage because we can easily max out stats, gear, and kc, and they struggle. They are all over, and when they lose training spots and monsters to the efficiency folk, they complain loudly, and call names. This is evidenced perfectly by posters on this thread. @GlowingRedM You may think that fun>efficiency. But, sir, you are not the final authority on fun. Many people find fun and efficiency to be synonymous. How can you be upset with them for being efficient, if they find it fun? You yourself place a very heavy emphasis on fun in your post. But by the same post, you show yourself unable to recognize that you are different then many other people. And in fact, you do not win anyone to your side by consistantly trying to convince the efficient players that they are playing a game incorrectly. If you lose a training spot or other coveted spot to a more efficient player, it is because you were, in point of fact, getting in the way of them having fun. By your own mouth, fun is the most important part of this game, and when you prevent someone from having fun, you should realize that you are breaking your own commands by complaining about it. @krimi That's easy, go do something, and enjoy it.

Chaos Tunnel Waterfiends with new Prayer Curses
Your lack of knowledge on these is amazing. Head over to the "Efficiency" thread to find more of it. Great read, very amusing. OT Is it possible to do these with regular prayers, or not soul split? Like say if I just used protect range, and use EE and uni to heal. I'm looking to finish these tasks faster then I can in the ancient cavern.

Efficiency
Quote hidden to efficiently use page space. [hide] Hello clown #2, short time no argue over semantics eh? MSN Encarta dictionary for you. ef·fi·cien·cy [ i físh'nsee ] (plural ef·fi·cien·cies) noun Definition: 1. competence: the ability to do something well or achieve a desired result without wasted energy or effort. 2. productive use of resources: the degree to which something is done well or without wasted energy 3. measure of machine's energy effectiveness: the ratio of the amount of energy used by a machine to the amount of work done by it. For example, the measurement of the amount of heat produced per unit of fuel when all of a fuel has been burned is a measure of a heating unit's efficiency. I assume most people on this site who claim to be efficiency experts use "efficiency" in a manner consistent with definition #1. Yet, they almost always forget the bolded part at the end. Of course they never understand a few other things too. Here I will list them. "making gp" and "wasted energy" are not mutually exclusive. "making gp" and "effort" are not mutually exclusive. In fact, "making gp" and "fun" are not even mutually inclusive. Furthermore, for total heresy in the eyes of my friends (the efficiency trolls here) one might consider that going out of ones way to generate gp to increase xp rates by some percentage (often small) might be considered "OMFG WASTED ENERGY". :shame: Truely unbelievable and moronic I know... I mean everybody loves merchanting and farming and camping for days at the same monster, and killing the big monsters in groups while hoping not to share too much of the loot. Nobody likes to go places where you don't profit or get BIG XP. You know the abandoned places like stealing creation, fight pits, or even castle wars. Instead, everybody should camp at the frost dragons or go afk with the bots at soul wars until they can camp efficiently at frost dragons because its all about the efficiency. A good player isn't somebody who accomplished their goals. A good player is somebody with unlimited GP, because only somebody with unlimited gp can gain xp at the fastest rates humanly possible. To do less or consider gp/xp would be uncivilized. [/hide] You are trying to shove your inefficient way of playing down other peoples throats. You are a hypocrite. OR You are agreeing with myself and grimy, while calling us names for holding the same beliefs as you. It could go either way. Although I'm not exactly sure what it is you have against people who do things efficiently. Not that I really care either. Either way, you delight in stereotyping, but do not seem to realize that you yourself fall squarely into one. But that's okay, I didn't really expect you to. Your replies will be my amusement for the next 2 hours or so, as I finish up my Digital Logic Design lab report, so please make them good ones. (Gasp!!! I forgot to include a plethora of sarcastic smilies!! Lemme just stick them on the end here and hope no one notices.   :wall:  =D> :shame: :boohoo: :ohnoes: )

What needs to be "Tweaked" in RS?
Take away options to do anything with any familiar besides my own. I don't need to be able to right click "cure" on someone elses uni, just to fail at it. Show my familiar on top of the pile of familiars at all times. Clicking on a pile of familiars always leads to interacting with my familiar. Being able to toggle on and off the ability to left click all monsters. Gatestone teleports (totally OP, but would be awesome) Show special attack even when my weapon doesn't have that option. Allow assists past the xp limit, the player assisting just receives no experience. Give us the option to decant extreme potions into 2 doses. When a player and a familiar or npc are on the same square, the player should default to being on top. No more people disappearing under tortoises and stuff.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
Cool. I'll bring my dds to GWD next time instead of my Godsword. It's faster. You are being WAY to general, and are not even considering any scenario, just making an overall description. Yes, it has more speed, and that makes it better--USUALLY. This thread is all about debating the trade-off of the Rapier and what benefits the CLS may have that make it superior. I've stated my view already, which is the fact that at maxed boss hunting stats (max melee, 99 mage, 99 sum, 95 prayer, overloads) the CLS offers effectiveness in more places that the Rapier does, and because you are so efficient at boss hunting already, the Rapier vs Longsword difference, in and of itself, makes very little impact by itself in the cases in which the Rapier IS superior. Just saying that something is better, providing unanalyzed information everyone knows, and expecting everyone to accept it as a divine truth is arrogant and incendiary, given the huge amount of effort and thinking everyone else has put into this thread. I thought I already showed that if a target has equal slash or less slash defense than stab, then even if the defense is insanely, high, the rapier is better with close to max gear/stats I'd say that's a pretty overwhelming conclusion. Where did you show this?

Efficiency
Edited to reflect my way of playing the game. Efficiency is the lastest buzzword to use when you need to tell people what you enjoy about this game. People on this site use it to represent methods that yield desired results, within certain price ranges. Efficiency in RS quite often is used to mean doing something in the way that yields the fastest desired results, with the money you are willing to pay. This works well because making gp is relatively easy, and can be gained most readily doing the things that most people view as fun and enjoyable. (such as Boss Hunting and merchanting) Of course efficiency is also the latest put down in a long line of noob, choob, nolifer...etc. Good thing we don't bother to listen when someone calls us names, after all, what a waste of time. Somebody moves too slow for you in your dungeon... scream "leecher". Somebody has better stats than you... cry out "nothing I say matters, they don't listen to flaming spammers anyway" I am RS efficient. Contrary to what inefficient people think, I do find it more fun. I play nonprofit minigames. I don't go out of my way to make gp, so I save gp when possible. I merchant in the GE on occaision. You don't need to be efficient to be successful in this game, it just takes longer. Now watch the inefficienct trolls line up quoting my post. Its always the same clowns too... :shame: **Formatting thanks to Golvellius.

You are not being ripped off if you are happy with the price you paid for it.

Efficiency
5m seems fair to me. *shrug* Exactly, what else am I going to spend that money on anyway? Edit @ Racheya under me Yes, I don't think people should push efficiency onto other people. But I will say that the Shadow Silk Hood is epic. I don't regret losing my prom pl8 for one.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
would make rcing tolerable imo This is true. Would almost triple the xp doing double natures. Which would bring 91rc up to 2m/h profit. Kind of insane. Until the market becomes oversaturated with nature runes that is. Planting it at a boss would be interesting. You could bypass the kc req at the gwd doing that as well. hmmm...... To bad everyone voted for new weapons and armor in the poll jagex did.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
^Pretty much what I plan on doing. I got the CLS first, and will probably have the rapier in the next few weeks. And before anyone flames me for that, I'm not really doing any combat anyway, so it hasn't made a difference. 95% of my recent combat experience has come from a Prom 2h, and a T7 berserker ring. I won't really start combat training outside of daemonheim for a while yet. Maybe the Chaotic Crossbow as #3, we will see. Unless they release a Gatestone teleport spell that you have to buy. That would be the most incredible reward ever.

200M in all Skills
I see your point. And having the first "new" skill from rs2 being the last skill to max out would have a certain irony. I was just saying that letting someone get within 20m of him could be dangerous because theoretically, they could beat him in one day, without logging out, so there would be no warning. I don't think you need more then 38 bank spaces for doing TDs or Frost Drags for Effigys anyway. And that would yield roughly 19.2m xp from the dragonkin lamps alone. Which would be kind of incredible.
-
200M in all Skills
Lover Romeo is the only person to hold two rank 1 spots. Which will probably never happen again. Toony looked likely to manage it also, till Drumgun decided to go for his records. @xpx You say "both 2nd hardest grind skills" because you are ranking runecrafting as the hardest grind skill? I fully agree. If I was Phoenix Odin tho, I would finish up Rc before the rank 2 gets within 20m xp. Theoretically, you could get 20m rc in a day, if you spent 400 bank spaces holding effigys.

I think he was more referring to the fact that the guy gets 200 kc. Which is kind of insane.
