  1. Ya Thank you. I have been wondering that for a while, but very few people are able to confirm that. Cool.
  2. You have my points. You refused to read them. Other people have posted their views. You refused to read them. I posted quotes from other people, including yourself, that summarize what everyone has said. You have yet to read them. The thing these all have in common that you haven't read something. We cannot have an adult debate if you continue to ignore any posts but yours, and continue to call names.
  3. Summoning + a ton of SW zeal into strength, IIRC. He cashed in like 54m in zeal, and then had people run him steel pl8s at piscatoris for 50-200m summoning in one week. the first day he got like 30m summoning xp. Lolwut? He spent most of the week doing it by himself. He only had a runner when I spent the last 18 hours or so helping him out because we knew he wouldn't hit 200m Xp week otherwise. Even without my help, he would have hit about 195m Xp. He did over 100 hours straight just to make sure he got the record, but even then it was really close with about only 15 minutes to spare when he did finally hit 200m Xp in a week. He also only used 46m Xp in Zeals btw. I knew he did somewhere around 50m xp in zeal. I guess I got 54 from him being at 154m before he used zeal. From the video discription that you apparently posted on youtube, I got the impression that there was more then one person running seconds for him, while he stood there and traded them. I guess this is not the case. On a random aside: If you were to do an agility obstacle on Agile Jebrim, would the agility xp you "got" from that obstacle register in your xp counter? Even though it won't appear in your total agility xp? EDIT: and what if they use on 120 dungeon, just for the sake of some record? Using the rough estimate that dragonkin lamps give (skill level)^3/20.2 xp in the skill you use them on, 400 dragonkin lamps would be 34.2m dungeoneering xp, at level 120 dungeoneering. This would be 85.5k xp per lamp. I do not know if the formula for calculating the xp from those lamps holds steady at levels past 99. That formula just gives an approximate value of xp per lamp. Total xp from 400 effigies would be 70.2mil xp
  4. If you do not understand, you haven't read it yet.
  5. @Ts_Stormrage Nowhere did troacctid say she purported to be speaking for ALL players. I fact, he said this: And then he gave multiple textual examples in support of his argument. From my point of view, he was exactly correct. Don't misquote people.
  6. Read this. EDIT: This too.
  7. I agree, the geyser does help on tasks that are multi-combat. I use it on all of those. Uni is great, but the advent of better armors and new healing methods greatly reduced it's usefulness. It is still pretty good at TDs from what I understand.
  8. You completely misunderstood what i said. The point was, if you don't have the knowledge, don't pretend to do so. It's not helpful trying to prove that zezima wasn't efficient when he actually was efficient. I understand, and im not trying to prove that was he was inefficient, but rahter that even if it was inefficient he wouldve succeeded because of consistency rather then efficiency. While playing efficiently does make sense in most cases, its all about what one enjoys. If you hate BA then dont use a horn for agility simple as that, if you love BA congrats your doing waht you love and your effiicent But if you hate BA and Agility, which is the most likely circumstance, then playing BA for the horn is faster. A full penance horn takes only 10 games and a few waves. It takes shorter to fill on world 6 then it does to train agility. Example: Using master penance horn, you get about 1.2m or so xp from it. This translates into about 600k bonus experience. Doing agility at ape atoll, at a regular pace, and completing all the laps to use your full penance horn takes about 11 hours. Without the horn, you would have only gotten 600k xp. To get the xp you would have gotten using the horn, you must spend twice as long, or 22 hours training agility. Filling the horn on world 6 takes about 7 hours with average teams and even a few restarts. So, using the horn on agility would take 7 hours of filling, and 11 hours of using, for a total of 18 hours. Training agility without the horn would take 22 hours. Now, if you are an avid quester, and jagex comes out with a quest that requires 72 agility, and you want your quest cape back, you are gonna need at least 3 agility levels. Doing BA for a few hours will save you time in agility, because the ratio of time it takes to ba vs time it takes to train w/o horn stays the same, at about 9/11ths. Now, a 7 hour fill time is very very generous. I am able to join BA clans, and play 20-25 minute games, when world 6 takes about 45 minutes to complete a game. Also, you must take into account that it is more likely that you will start to like BA then you will start to like agility. I know lots of people who started out hating BA, but they began to have fun after a bit. I don't think I have ever seen someone start off hating agility, but end up loving it. This may happen, but from my experience, it happens much less with agility. So if you hate both activities, it is faster to do BA first, and then agility. You may also start to have fun at BA whether you want to or not.
  9. You continue to assume that efficiency is IMPOSSIBLE to attain' date=' without being bored. SIMPLY NOT TRUE. Citation needed to prove this is true of efficient players. 5.) It does' date=' according to my style of play. I am an achievement player. Making, meeting, and exceeding goals is what I play for, in large part. If I achieve more, for less, in a shorter amount of time, then other players, I AM better, by definition. The definition of Better is, among other things: To surpass or exceed, More highly skilled or adept, More useful, suitable, or desirable. Hmm. Once again, I am better in the game. This has nothing to do with my real life standing, my "worth", etc. 9.) Do you really mean this? So, you are for allowing anything, as long as it is in the rules? I should hold you to this. From now on, you have NO excuse to complain against anything which is within RS rules, and Jagex ToS. No more complaining about 76k'ers, rushers, etc. 10. Really gotta disagree with #3 there. Your contradiction implies EVERY SINGLE PLAYER spends the time to calculate gp/exp. THAT is simply "not true." Actually, so it saying that the calculations are easy - some people find math harder then others, lack the innate mathematical ability that makes it simply, or could be too young to be good at it yet. Or, on that note, mentally disabled. And frankly, people could just be too lazy. Back in pre-GE days, if you spent enough at Camelot, you'd probably wander into someone wondering what 1k flax is worth at 100gp. Yeah. #7. I think the fact she was getting at is, although you may be elite, that doesn't mean you look-down and insullt people who aren't as "elite" as you. #9. Mostly good points, except for 76k'ers. Frankly, the only real reason that 76k'ing isn't against the rules is that there is no bureaucratic way to enforce anti-76k'ing, because the line between 76k'ing and not can be very blurry. The concept of wearing 76k and having another person kill you so they can profit, or vice-versa, is actually against the spirit of the game and frowned upon by Jagex last I checked; but like I said, it's not enforceable. [/hide] Wow, l2hidetags
  10. 400 banked effigies totals at 56m xp, approx. If you use all the lamps on a skill that is already 99.
  11. Summoning + a ton of SW zeal into strength, IIRC. He cashed in like 54m in zeal, and then had people run him steel pl8s at piscatoris for 50-200m summoning in one week. the first day he got like 30m summoning xp.
  12. oh ok. That makes more sense. Still done understand why he had 9.3m thieving, when the person who changed their name only has 4m xp. But yes, namechanging would do it.
  13. [hide=Lots of Exp?] [/hide] Added a new picture. Runetracker has him as gaining 9.3m thieving xp, but his hiscores only have him at just over 4m thieving xp. His ad log says 4m theiving xp also. I am not sure if this is a Runetracker Glitch, or not. He also doesn't appear in the daily xp records, but to gain that much xp in a week would require at least 63m xp a day. This would be spot 2 for daily records. EDIT: I dont know why the first picture is super huge again either.
  14. Off a bank of 400 Effigies, which is about all that I think it is possible to have, the dragonkin lamps would be worth about 20m xp, used on lvl 99 skills only. And assuming that he used all the effigies from starved-lamp in one go, that would have netted him 36m more xp in all the skills they represent. If you assume he used effigies only 8 levels (one from each of the pairings) that would be 4.5m per skill, if they all occurred at the same frequency. So, getting that much xp from effigies is possible. I rather think that theiving might have been done in part with sq'irk juice or something. But yes, I think that those might be possible, if you figure that the skills might not have been evenly distributed through the effigies. Then, he could also have spent lamps on them. I think that answers Ismibeg's question. @bazzaminxer Yes, it would have been. But then again, we are not entirely sure what he used, on which skill. If he was preparing for this for a while, He theoretically could have done addy pl8s with SC hammers to rune, and then rune to 99. It seems that he would have had major zeal saved up, so why not major sc points as well?
  15. I calced that out. Starting from roughly 30m xp in all melee, with 13m prayer xp, and like 20m range and mage, you would need somewhere in the vicinity of 160k zeal to do that.
  16. my thoughts exactly. I didn't expect Drumgun's records to fall this fast.
  17. Who is this guy, and what the heck did he do?
  18. Going from 70 to 90 is not building up to it. Yeah . . . obviously. What's your point? My point was 1 line below. You lost me as soon as you compared a game to real life. You have fun in a game. Life is just... life. It is a requirement of the game that you be alive to play it. And there is no reason that you should be entitled to anything without putting in the work for it. You are not entitled to use a whip until you have 70 attack. You are not entitled to use chaotic until you grind some dg lvls. You are not entitled to fish rocktail until you grind some fishing. You are not entitled to wear agile clothing until you grind some agility. You are not entitled to have anything without working for it, in game or out of it. Why then are you arguing that questing should remain easy, that you should not have to actually train your character to do quests. This game is based on training skills. If you whine that you can't do certain things without training your skills, you will be told to train your skills up. I hate mining, but I am currently training it anyway, because it is a integral part of the game, and my character is unable to do things that I want to do without higher mining. Ditto for woodcutting. But I recently jumped 600k wc ranks, just so I could get the level to finish a quest. Questing should not be easy, and it should take levels that are harder to get. This encourages people to continue training levels, even when they would normally stop. What you seem to be saying is that you would prefer to start on a level 3, and just begin questing right from the start, and be able to get the helm of trials and quest cape without any additional training. This is silly. Training your skills is a huge part of the game, and quests are created in order that you may use these skills that you got in order to have some fun. The quests in runescape are very good. Many other MMOs have quest like: kill X number of monsters/bosses and bring Y item back to me for a reward. If you want quests that don't require any skills to finish, go play one of these MMOs.
  19. The fact that you had to explain what a divine is to someone on a thread about efficiency is almost sad. All the info you ever need about this sort of thing is literally 3 clicks away.
  20. The ring of vigour is not worth it. It saves 10% of the cost of the spec. So for claws, one spec would only cost 45%, not 50% because the ring of vigor saves 5%, which is 1/10 of the 50% cost. So it does pretty much nothing, because you cant even get a 3rd claw spec out of that with a spec restore potion. So basically all the ring does is keep you from using a berserker ring for more strength bonus.
  21. Oh ok. I was wondering if someone like lagota pro, or toony, or some other person who has the 200m slayer blog on RSOF had dropped by our thread. But good luck, you are still 15m slayer xp ahead of me.
  22. Oh for the sake of sanity and the rest of the players who might learn something from this thread, don't respond to him. He will tell you that he knows it can't be done, because he has never tried it. That is the 10 word summary of all his useless spam on this thread. Ignore him, he is a troll.
  23. yep and both these guys should pass Kingduffy by the end of october unless he picks up a faster pace, which seems unlikely. @ signature Nice post and thank you for the feedback. Effigies and assisting them really is the main game-changer in 2010. Off-topic, are you a fellow future accountant? I sure am :P Already graduated, just need to do an extra 2 years to get my CGA. I love being told I can be a CGA after 3 years of college only to find out there's another 2 years and $10,000 left after that... Effigies are the reason I'm having a hard time deciding what to do. I prefer to save all my drops from slayer, as money is not an issue for me, but because of this, my bank space clogs up with all the effigies I gain through slayer, effectively forcing me to use them up before formulating a future plan. For now, I'm just using them to get my agility to 99 and will do the same for my remaining 99s. Only reason I'm not using on rcing is because I'll get 99 purely through assists now. I guess time will tell how that will work out for me (really depends on the amount of effigies I get from now until 200m slayer). Wait a minute, you are going for 200m slayer? Is your TIF name the same as your in game name? Or are you possibly someone from the top 20 slayers? I know several of the top slayers are not maxed out.
  24. I can't seem to find the glitch  Jagex designed that place right? it's just so hard to tell.............
