200M in all Skills
The max assist experience you can get in a year is 10.95mil xp. So it would take about 5 years to gain 55m runecrafting experience from assist. You are still gonna have to zmi some xp to get 200m rc, But not more then like 30m. @ whoever said bots hunt chins cause hunter is boring or w/e True, but bots don't hunt warlocks because warlocks give no profit. Bots hunt chins because even if its slow money and experience fighting with all the other bots, if you hunt them for 12 hours straight you are going to make money. And it's not like anyone is actually playing rs while those bots opperate anyway. Getting hunter experience and money while you are not even playing would be pretty nice if it wasn't against the rules.

Could they have picked a worse world for Dung??
Yeah, super huge amounts of instanced content. So not like falador where everyone walks around in the same area, but more like everyone having their own individual falador. multiply this by however many teams you have dungeoneering at the same time, and you could be doubling the world size in floor space if you count all the dungeons.

200M in all Skills
i only joined to say that fool No need to call names. It is not often you get to see someone who was probably lurking here join to contribute. Welcome to TIF, at any rate. :D EDIT: I don't think that either SUOMI or Drumgun have the cash to start getting the buyables yet though. And I recall from zarfot's merchanting guide, that he says he merchanted heavily for about 2 years, before he thought he had enough to get all the buyables. So it will take roughly 2 years for these guys to finish off the buyables. By which time, zarfot could be rather far advanced through a number of other skills, due to effigies. [hide=Random calculations regarding effigies and dungeoneering] Something I just thought... If you take the experience of a dragonkin lamp on any skill to be roughly estimated at (skill level)3/20.2 then a dragonkin lamp used on 120 dungeoneering would grant approximately 85.5k experience. Now, supposing a player decided to camp some high effigy drop rate monster for weeks on end, and banked all the effigies. For my example, we can use TDs, which I think have an average effigy drop rate of 1 effigy per 1.5 hours when killed at max rate. Using this rate, camping TDs for 600 hours would yield 400 effigies. Using RuneWiki's lowest Claw rate drop of 1/300, this would also yield 90 pairs of dragon claws, worth 2.61 billion gp on todays market. Now, I believe that If all a player is doing is TD's, this player could get by with only the few bank spaces needed to hold his gear and supplies. Thus, one could theoretically have 400 effigies at one time. If one couples this with dungeoneering to 150.7m dungeon xp, and then using tokens to purchase 15m xp or so, a player would be at around 165m dungeon xp. This would put this player within 35m of 200m dungeoneering experience. 400 dragonkin lamps yields approximately 35m xp, because I have found the formula I used to calculate the lamp experience to be slightly lower then what you actually get. If some player did this, there would be a net profit of approximately one max cash pile, and a gain of about 50m dungeoneering experience in a single day. If you suppose that the average time that the highest players play this game to be 10 hours a day, then they could kill this many TDs in about 2 months. I think that at high levels, with good, teams, you could post rates of 200k/h dungeoneering xp reliably. This would make it 750 hours to 150m dungeoneering xp. So, for a total of 1350 hours spent dungeoneering and killing TDs, some player could take a daily record in dungeoneering, in addition to maxing dungeoneering out. This might not be the fastest way to gain dungeoneering xp, but it would yield at least one max cash pile, would would be very useful for someone who is needing money. All of this would take about 135 days, or 4.5 months of 10 hours per day. Probably not going to happen, but 50m dungeoneering xp in a day would be an incredibly hard record to beat. [/hide]

06-Oct-2010 - The Void Stares Back
@People posting those 700s and 800s. Someone said it has a chain effect on nearby enemies? So, if you hit an 800 on someone, would you then hit a nearby monster for 400 and another one for 200? If so, using it in a crowded multi combat area might speed up slayer if you can do massive damage to monsters you are not even fighting.

They all have crafting, construction and prayer, fletching, and cooking. Lol if paperbag hurries, they will be right next to eachother on construction, prayer, and herblore.

I really want to know what that problem was, and what it did. It just seems such a strange thing to fix. Also, Lvl 10 defense for a grandmaster quest??? what? That's like a slap in the face to all pures. Especially when you finish the quest and get a piece of armor that takes 43 defense to wear. Besides, it takes me like 45 seconds to gain enough defense xp to reach level 10. And anyone with the rest of the stats besides defense should be able to get there in about 1 minute. Probably if you were in the hard diary area with the ranges it would say you were in a members location (just a wild guess) But normally if your membership ran out, and you were in a members location, you got teled to lumbridge, right? Idk, seems kind of strange, I wonder how long it was broken before someone noticed it.

Unicorn?
Yes, and Uni is worth it IMO. I use the all the time. It is massive overkill on slayer tasks, but for bosses and stuff, when you don't have a yak, the Uni is amazing.

1st October, 2010: Behind the Scenes - October
A quest that requires 94 magic??? *runs to rumor mill and starts printing* I am gonna invest in runes :D @Ironmint RFD II? Where you fight against the Cosmeticomancer (derives power from cosmetics) to unlock a chest that sells you BARROWS BOOTS. Yeah! Should be fun. Not to sure about the themed weaponry from the chest though. Carrying around a giant exfoliating pad would look pretty ridiculous. @everyone else Why are we using fishing as a super high requirement example. There are not many slower skills out there. How about a 94 cooking requirement? That costs like 0 money, and takes like 30 hours to get or something like that. Or like 95 strength, as that is the most common skill cape? (yeah, more people have 99 strength then 99 cooking, I didn't believe it either, till I saw it) Although for fishing, I just park myself up in Piscatoris, and fish monks while I do homework. It really is amazing how much that skill can be AFK'd. EDIT: is it just me, or did tripsis just take over the recently added topics?

Perhaps. Myself, I would have preferred the Oxford English definition, such as you gave. The mathematical simplification that stonewall337 posted is very useful for the quick calculations, and a least should get an honorable mention, because it has units that actually mean something. gp/xp calculations are nice because when you multiply them by the xp/time you get, you can literally see how fast you are burning through your money. :ohnoes: Oh, there is no "e" at the end of my name btw. Normally wouldn't matter, but TIF does have a user named Peregrine, who is not me. But we have already had several occurrences of us being confused for each other.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
EDIT: Yeah grimy got it before me^

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
I think that Divine will still be preferable at many bosses. It is hard to compete with the staying power you have when you are blocking 30% damage. But Dragon defender will increase rapier power insanely when not using a shield. I can't wait for it, I will get it as soon as i possibly can after the release.

finally got it
Oooo, that was the first level I got when I started training summoning. T bird is really usuful. 10/10

On one hand: "...achieving maximum productivity with minimum wasted effort or expense" - Oxford Dictionaries Online On the other hand: gp/xp/time gp/xp/time is the mathematical way to represent the following: A ratio of money per experience per time spent. The time in this equation is defined normally as a set period of time, usually "1 hour/day/month/year" with "1 hour" being the most prevalently used unit for time. It does not make much sense to use more then 1 unit of time, as this immediately simplifies down to 1 upon completion of the calculation. Using "1 hour" as the time in this equation brings us to gp/xp/hour, or money per experience per hour. Players who try to be efficient at Runescape try to reduce this ratio. Hence, trying to be RS efficient can be worded as: An attempt to reduce the money spent per experience point gained over a set period of time. Now, players can only strive to be efficient, just as people in the real world only try to be efficient. So, true RS efficiency can be defined as: Achieving the maximum possible experience with the minimum wasted time or money. There are points on both sides, I know. But these 2 definitions seem to be the same.

Favorite RS Player?
Oh geez. I have a bunch of no names. Smittycat, Bachande, Nutstoplay, Gods withme, and D raze probably. <-- awesome friends back in the day. Favorite top player tho, probably lan, or zarfot. Loved zarfot's mega slayer guide, and lan slays like a pro. Not sure if Lan's name comes from The Wheel of Time, but if it does, that just makes it even more epic.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that you don't really like spikes all that much. Nice fury btw, got it from a clue?

Efficiency
No need to. We all know what went on. Whether people ignore it is entirely up to them. You lost quite a few posts. Claiming that none of your posts got removed is a lie, or it is ignoring the fact that you lost quite a few posts.

Worth it to unlock Aquanites?
as far as xp/hour, aquanites suck. If you want fast xp, I would not advise unlocking them. However, they are a relaxing task, with almost no one ever there. So if you like to have the place to yourself, you can get that while killing them. They are a friend of mine's second favorite task, behind ice styrkes. I personally unlocked them, and I regret it.

Who the hell would type out all that though? Or if they're looking for a funny reaction why risk getting banned just for laughs? IMO they're just [bleep]ing stupid and just a little high I rather think that they might have an old and non-working bot program, and just be copying the source code over. Although if they are botting, they might not have played the game enough to realize that you can get banned for that. Or there are people that are just that "smart"
