looks like a ddos. Except that he spawns in edge bank? hmm......

The botting still persists
or you can drop nature runes or green dragon hides in the leech room next to chaos tunnel green dragons. Then all 35 real players down there decide to run over to the wall and stand there. All at the same time. All facing that nature rune. None using the portal to go and get it.

If that was directed to me, are you claimining my explanation was plagiarized or the term efficiency troll was? He means you've basically said what all the "efficiency trolls" have been saying for the past....10 pages.... ^This exactly, thank you :D

29-Sep-2010 - Guaranteed Content Poll: Dragon Scimitar Redesign
I voted D. It is closest to the older look of the D scim. The one you would see the lvl 60s in edge wild using constantly in the pre 12/07 days of RS That is the D scim look I prefer. EDIT: the pic demby posted is the one I want back.

200M in all Skills
Effigies are INCREDIBLY overpowered. On the road to 200m slayer, it saves 1600+ hours on runecrafting ALONE. Tell me that's not overpowered. I did some math the other day about how much time an effigy saves, and I came up with about 100-110 minutes saved per effigy, assuming that all pairs are received at an equal rate. In fact, effigy experience is so good that Slaying beyond 200m for effigies is almost as fast as manually training those other skills. I think Zarfot covered this in his Mega Slayer Guide 5. It is rather incredible. Not only does slaying give good effigies, but doing TDs for effigies, and using the dragonkin lamps on slayer is actually a viable way to train slayer. Not as fast experience, but far far far more money earned.

Efficiency
[/hide] A very good explanation, and FYI, the "efficiency trolls" are the group that will agree with you the most, as we've ALL been arguing this very point. You might want to be careful, your so called "efficiency trolls" might take offense at plagiarism. On another note. [hide='what "efficient" people may notice about "non-efficient' people] Honestly, I don't really care how other people play the game as long as you seem to know what you are doing. If I go slaying, and there is another person at the same spot, who sometimes grabs one of "my" spawns, I don't let it bother me. If I am killing say, bronze dragons in the chaos tunnels, and someone else comes by and starts killing them, it won't bother me that much normally. However, if this person is using Bandos Chestplate, Tassets, Whip, Anti-dragonbreath shield, Gnome scarf, Royal Crown, Ranger Boots, No Cape, and No Familiar and they start complaining that they don't get any kills, then I will probably tell them "Is that really a surprise to you? Your gear sucks." This is the why people who try to maximize their xp gains and kill rate are not too fond of people who don't. If you are having fun, that is fine, but quite a lot of the time, these people complain about how slow they are going. Generally, if you are complaining, it is a pretty good judge of how much fun you are having. Here is an example of what I have seen. I was killing iron dragons when the elite clues came out. Someone down there, lvl 115 or so, had been there long enough to have the dragons stop attacking him. Here is what he said to me: Please not, this was the 4th time I had killed the same dragon, while he was standing there doing nothing. I had been killing the spawn next to it also. He was using full proselyte and a whip with anti-dragonbreath shield. I was using Z-spear with fighter hat, prossy pl8 and tassets, super antifire potions, and extreme pure sets. Is it really that much of a surprise that when you stand still for 6 minutes, and the monsters you are at are in single combat and crowded, someone else might move in to "your" spot? I was totally fine with him wearing his outfit, and killing iron drags (or not killing them as the case may be) in that outfit. But flaming me because you afk'd in a crowded area wearing second rate gear and I moved into your spot for a bit is annoying. Please note, I did not respond to him. I simply right clicked and added him to ignore, and moved on to the next open dragon a few seconds later. [/hide] This is just a few personal experiences I have had. It does not mean this happens 100% of the time, but it happens to me enough for me to notice a general trend. This trend namely being that it is not an uncommon occurrence for me to meet people who are not doing something efficiently, and by all appearances, not having fun doing it either.

Whats this? free post count? Tyvm OP. And...A GE database that shows the price of the item for the last 60 days? Sorry, but even the RS GE Database has you beat there, they go back 3x as far. Not to mention that Tip.it has it's own GE Center, and they have their own forums, which actually have people on them, and *gasp* you can use these forums to track your goals, items, and share with friends. If your site was real, it would fail. Race is a non-issue, and you have proven that you do not understand what his avatar is anyway. GET BACK ON THE TOPIC OF YOUR NEW KEYLOGGER YOU JUST MADE!

Zamorakian spear or Verac's set at Mithril dragons?
Spear, but perhaps keep the armor part of veracs, just not the weapon. In response your signature. 13 days of dungeoneering would be 312 hours. I got my chaotic in about 2 weeks, averaging like 4 hours a day. Which is only like 56 hours, Or about 2 and 1/2 days. But yeah, I don't really like dungeoneering all that much myself, at least not on w117 with random strangers.

Efficiency
You would rather debate over choosing fun versus rank on a high scores table? This thread goes on because some people will never learn the difference between effective and efficienct, because it would put a butthurt on their egos. Of course, effective is saving your money in a savings account until you retire, efficient is putting it into a Roth, or some other form of investment vehicle, so that it grows far more. The efficient get more done. In fact, anything which grants XP is, technically, effective. You are trying to save fact, and miserably failing, by your blatant misuse of terms. You see, effective means: "Producing the intended or expected result". Sure, you can fletch yew longs for 99 fletching, it will get you there, but it will take far longer, and cost more, then fletching addy arrows. Effective is arriving at your destination, efficient is getting there the fastest/cheapest/most enjoyable way, a ratio of all three of these. And the the most enjoyable way to do something is a free variable, and cannot be accounted for in any calculations you may see. Which should be obvious, but some people refuse to see it. [/hide] Enjoyability isn't as black and white as that- the majority of people feel the taste of things and see colours in the same way, and if we assume something for this majority, it is generally true. Most people find the same things to be fun, so if efficiency is generally fun, we don't usually have to take it into account for calculations. I am not sure I agree. Yes, people do generally find the same things fun. But these things are just general things. An example would be playing Runescape. I think that the majority of people posting on here find this fun. But comparing training method X with training method Y and determining which is more fun is not as easy. For example, I find graahking natures to be more fun then using the abyss. And someone else who recently posted on here prefers the abyss. Also, trying to quantify fun is difficult. Saying: "you will have exactly 2.4x more fun training slayer while farming in between tasks then you will soloing TDs, which brings the net profit of slayer up to rival that of TDs."* does not make much sense. And fun is also affected by outside forces, such as internet connection, health, and attitude. For example, Dungeoneering with friends, on a good world, may indeed be enjoyable. But, dungeoneering on w117, over dial up, with a food hog team, while you are suffering from food poisening in real life, is perhaps not so much fun. But it is theoretically possible to achieve the same xp/hr rate in either dungeoneering circumstance. One is just more advisable then the other. And, rather then say "efficiency is generally fun" I would perhaps say "fun is generally efficient" Because if you are having fun doing X action, then you are using your time more efficiently then doing Y action, which you detest. Now sometimes the result of doing something you detest is worth it. Hence why I jumped ~600k woodcutting ranks in about 18 hours. Finishing Grim Tales outweighed the detest I have for training woodcutting. Normally though, training woodcutting is inefficient for me, because I hate it that much. Some people seem to enjoy woodcutting (e.g. PuppyKing/Minergoo), and for them it is an efficient way to use their time. Therefore, I do not think that fun can be added into calculations because it is unquantifiable, and depends on circumstances outside of what you are calculating. Also, if you are calculating anything, it tends to be very specific, so trying to apply a generality into a specific case does not work out. Calculations are not normally done to find out what is generally better to do,b ut rather they are done to find out exactly how much better one thing is then another. tl;dr version: Fun is not quantifiable, and can change depending on outside forces. Also, fun is a general term, and calculations are for finding specific details, not what is "generally" better. *Slayer and TDs were used purely for example purposes, and not because TDs actually do make 2.4x more then slayer+farming

Favourite Skill?
Hmm, probably slayer, herblore, and possibly summoning. Dungeoneering with friends is pretty good also, but w117 makes my face hurt after a while, not to mention that I've already gone through like 3 desks............lol

Partyhats
Yeah, you can sell them all instantly in the GE for max, Except that your probably cant hold that much cash at the same time. Highly inadvisable though, because they are all worth far far more then their GE price. Blue ~ 6bil or so street price. Hold onto them is probably best thing to do.

"afk" ways of making money
jellies don't drop swamp tar. Cave slime do tho. You would need antipoisens. And not too great for afking, because they die so fast. Black drags in tav dungeon are pretty easy to afk though.

200M in all Skills
Well, considering that a common expression I have heard in the dungeons is "you got jagex'd" when something bad happens, jagex may in fact be trying to prove it true. The overload glitch and death resetting were actual glitches, but when the monster limit was jagex's fault. If you make something that doesn't work correctly, and people use it while it is broken, then you should expect things that you do not want to happen, to happen. If you sell someone a broken bucket, and they don't even get out of your store before the bucket breaks and spills everything all over your property, it is not their fault. You messed up, you screwed your own property up. Banning people because the monster limit made some bosses incredibly easy (skeletal trio, necrolord) is ridiculous.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
To the select few people who actually play lots of castle wars. CLS works with the profound armor, but the Maul does not. It maxes at about the same as the maul because of this. For meleeing, I believe CLS is best at castle wars. Really only a very select scenario tho.

85 herb..worth it?
I would perhaps wait till you can get a bit more cushion in your bank before you get super antifires. If you spend almost everything in your bank, you feel like its hard to restart. So i would say never spend more then 70% of your bank on anything.

Not quite at max YET. although I'm speculating that the street price won't last long. And when it hits max in ge, the ge price is gonna skyrocket? or crash?

Does anyone else think about this?
So when you get out of school and get a job, you are still paying taxes so that other people can go to school? That's more like paying for school your entire life, not just for the few years that you will go.

Efficiency
Won't miss you :] To contribute to the thread, and echo what logical people with half a brain cell thought; Efficiency -is- fun. Don't act like it is endless calculations of gaining an extra 0.5k xp/h. Of course it might be fun - just not for everyone. The problem isn't efficiency, it's people using efficiency to call other people noobs and idiots just because they play differently. People also use inefficiency to call other people elitists and no lifers just because they play differently. That point is moot. Both sides are equally wrong.
