  1. I don't know, maybe a restriction on the spell or something...
  2. Edited into main post. Good improvements in my opinion. You have really edited and improved all the weapons and armor and other stuff very well such that they won't be overpowered or underpowered.
  3. Quite unnecessary and a waste of Jagex's time IMHO. No offense though.
  4. Lets look from my point of view, shall we? Canadiansmurf starts this thread, insults me and "bans" me from posting here even though it is a public forum and he didn't have a very "good" impression of me from the previous thread. He "bans" me from his thread, so naturally I get back at him by saying his thread is stupid. Won't you do the same thing? Everyone suddenly starts flaming me. I flame them back. Retaliation is a part of human nature. Now after I put in quite a bit of effort criticising his arguments without using much insults/whatever, he doesn't reply to them probably because he can't and he'll make a fool of himself trying to defend baseless arguments, so he uses sarcasm, sneering and quoting other people to insult me and make me feel angry. I defend myself, and ask him to look through my arguments instead of insulting me, but he totally ignores me and insults me again with underhand methods. So who do you think is more wrong? I definitely made some mistakes, I admit this, but everyone makes mistakes, but people who already know they made mistakes and still continue to try and hide it and insult people with underhand means are the kinds I hate most. If you want to say something say it to someone's face, not use sarcasm and a sneering tone to insult them.
  5. Basically everything all of the posters have been debating about can be summed up with one sentence: Its based on your own opinion.
  6. Yeah. You get a sense of accomplishment or something. I also get a sense of accomplishment from buying those yew logs and those bowstrings, fletching, selling them and profiting, and laughing at the people who are just halfway through getting their materials. Buying skills gives me time to do things that are actually fun, like PvP, minigames, boss-hunting, and just hanging with friends. (Although, I am a MMORPG junkie and watching my stats and rank climb is fun too). Honestly there's no need to criticise people who like gathering their own materials. Its fun to them, but it might not be fun to you.
  7. I suppose these pour souls cant gwd either. RuneScape doesn't lag for me, and I live in Singapore, thousands of kilometres away from England. And my internet connection isn't amazingly good or anything. I've tried Kickabout League in Funorb, and it lags like hell. RuneScape doesn't. It's quite a slow game IMO.
  8. Yeah. You get a sense of accomplishment or something.
  9. Yes, I agree totally. Those high level veteran players need to learn that games change, more convenient and easier ways of doing things will be introduced.
  10. DIY is wasting time. Wasting time can be fun for some people. You play RuneScape to waste time, don't you? It all comes down to opinion.
  11. Thanks for the support!
  12. Choosing to buy your xp or DIY is your own choice. If you want to waste your time, go ahead. If you want to buy your xp, no one gives a [bleep]. So just do what you want. Must resist temptation to say [/thread]

Rofl. I don't pk much. Its stupid, and I don't like risking items. Let's look at this the other way, shall we? Your opponent and you, same level, same stats He eats a shark. One shark. 20 hp. You hit say 8. He now has 12 hp more than you effectively. So what do you do? Stupidly try your luck and try to KO him? You probably won't be able to kill him, because he has 12 more hp than you. If you're lucky, sure, but the odds are against you. So of course you eat. To keep your items safe. If you die, you don't get any items, and lose your items. If everyone eats and finally runs away, all you waste is food.

 That's why I said this rant was kind of pointless.

Seriously, as i've kept saying the point isn't to beat them, it's to run from them. Revs in F2P aren't hard, but it's gonna take a long time if the most you can hit is 3 Revenants in f2p are quite hard to kill actually. Which is what you said. I've escaped from tons of not-so-close shaves with revenants. The problems only arise when you think you're so good and try to fight the revenants...
  16. quelmotz replied to JAMjE's topic in Rants
 and  Anyway, back on topic, what do you think Jagex can do to solve this problem anyway?
  17. quelmotz replied to xmbxr's topic in Rants
At the expense of your fingers... As I said earlier, I seriously don't want to break my fingers or something clicking madly to level up a skill.
  18. quelmotz replied to JAMjE's topic in Rants
I was replying to the part about me always changing my story.
  19. :o Really? Yeah, we're quite similar in character. Persistent when it comes to heated debates. Reckless and posts without too much thinking. But that's about where the similarities end. You're welcome to post the differences, but I don't think you should because a mod is going to remove it.
  20. +1 Did that post take a long time to construct? Looks like it... But there's no point creating a long post when the point is short and sweet. Maybe I should change my motto to "It's the internet" someday...there are so many rants where you can reply to with this.
  21. That's just my style. You or I can't do anything about it. I just hate admitting my mistakes. Anything wrong with that? Your style is weird too. Illogical, dwell on one thing and never give up on it until you've been proved totally wrong or the other party admits defeat.
  22. quelmotz replied to JAMjE's topic in Rants
 Honour pking is part of pking, so can't I say pking is stupid and honour pking is also stupid? Once again.
  23. quelmotz replied to JAMjE's topic in Rants
There's nothing wrong with it, so I can't dislike it? Roflmao.
  24. Holy [cabbage] can you read? I'm wrong. Big deal. It has something to do with the argument. I said there are far more of our arguments you can't proof wrong. So shut the hell up. You have nothing to say, but just want to increase your post count or something, so you crack a lame joke.
  25. quelmotz replied to JAMjE's topic in Rants
The point is people are too greedy. They want to keep their items, but also want their opponent's items. So they safe, and try to get a KO. I have nothing against safing or honour pking, I think both are stupid. PKing itself is stupid.
