how to make pot (4) into pots (3)?
Hi all, I have a rather simple question, and maybe it is even simpler than I thought. I will train herblore during the exo weekend (who isn't), after which I will be able to make some extreme pots later during the weekend... I have a pile of (4) dose pots; what happens if I make extreme pots with those as I heard I need (3) dose pots for that. Options: A) I need (3) pots, .. so how do I go about making (4) into (3) (without drinking a dose obviously)...? B) I don't need (3) dose.. when I make an extreme pot from a (4) dose pot, it will turn into a (3) extreme, and a (1) leftover of the super pot...? Please advice? Thanks you

Vuvuzelas in runescape ?
Oh no, I'm very upset now /sarcasm On Topic: I am not sure of Jahex tried to mimic the vuvuzela sound to be honest.. if it is the case they might remove it now, after world cup soccer ends right? I hope they don't as I really like the extra sound. Only problem is, they cannot add sounds like this to many more items, as it will turn standing in the GE into a cacophony :ohnoes:

Balmung and Keris...
I used to use keris (++) at kalphites, but generally the whip will give you more damage over time. Which is a pity in my opinion, because it would be nice to have certain weapons which give you more damage per definition than the good old whip on average. The balmung I don't have yet (3 quests from quest cape lol) but from what I have heard, balmung does more damage than whip on average, no? Anyways, use cannon, both daggs and kalphs

I fail
Interesting to see what everybody has! I calculated 41.8 k/hour for my account which is not too bad I think. I can explain this by my slayer training: I get slayer exp and combat exp, making it a rather high exp/hour activity. Now I am getting wc up to 99 which also drives the average up :geek:

Chaotic is better than Divine/Elysian
Well, I wouldn't put it like that. For everyone who can't afford a divine/elysian, these shield are still better than a lot of other shields in game. Heck, if spirit shields wouldn't exist, these shields would be the latest great item to get.

12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
I also face about 45 mins for solo dungeon. And I am only killing all beast, sporadically going back to trader (with tele and gatestones), and I will not smith, herb, or craft anything before I have seen which boss I will be fighting. So, if I am doing it wrong, tell me your way? Puzzles and monsters killing alone, can't be done in under 15 mins on an average floor in my opinion. I recommend you actually time a solo dungeon yourself. You will be surprised that what seems 15 mins for you, in the real world might be 30 mins or more

You really don't read the posts, do you? a couple of posts up I have already mentioned this: - using higher tier logs to cook on, makes you burn food a lot less.

12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
I noticed something which isn't in the knowledge base nor did I see it mentioned here. It is kinda obvious when you have played a little, but might be helpfull to people reading this who are still to start dungeoneering: - using higher tier logs to cook on, makes you burn food a lot less. - using a higher tier pickaxe makes you crush less ore whil mining. Any more I missed? Note that this is quite different from how this works on the surface

For all those complaining about this being a slow skill keep in mind it took Bilrach (far?) over 300 years to go down the dungeons :ohnoes:

Game Update FAQ - 12/04/10
[hide] The typical Jagex stance to everything. They need to get over their power trip and realize they're customers come before their [bleep]s. They're such hard heads. It is not a skill, and it will never be. Just because it has XP does not make it a skill. Yes, because it is a minigame not a skill. If it was designed to be a skill, then you certainly [bleep]ed up somewhere. Yes the game needed Raiding, because we've been waiting for a good combat update for years. However, let's keep it as Raiding, and not a skill. Jagex: Your customers come first. Ask them their opinion before you go and get too far ahead of yourself. I think it's safe to say that a majority of us really were looking forward to a good skill. Skill, Skill, Skill. If you would have told us it was a minigame in the first place, then I certainly wouldn't be let down so much. After all of the hype I still have received no skill and just a minigame. Where is my skill Jagex? RAGERAGERAGRAGERAGERAGERAGERAGERAGERAGE Get over it. Dont like it, dont train it, another skill will be out in a year. If this game even lasts another year. Jagex needs to get their self together before they lose the rest of their customers. They've already lost me. [/hide] What is the use whining about it here really? :shame:

Prestige+ tips
No offense, but there is already a thread in here explaining prestige, and in my opinion it is clear as crystal so no need for another thread. I don't want to offend you, sorry if I did

12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
Confused lol.. As for the equipment on the tables, it indeed focusses on melee with me.. might be cause I bound melee platebody, but your other theory sounds plausible too.. hadn't wondered about this before but now I want to know :ohnoes:

No you get an xp penalty for doing that. sure, but will that affect prestige?

to ca2theone: why not use your gatestones also just outside the boss room? no need for walking through 4 rooms if you die there. Also, which summon lasts an hour? The knowledge base is not correct in my opinion. It says my favourite summon, adept skinweaver, will last for 10 mins, where in fact my summon interface tells me it will last for 30 odd minutes. Or are there any factors that will make your summon last longer, compared to the times in the knowledge base tables?

not sure what you are saying.. you did get vengeance cast upon you, when killing a certain boss?

Dungeoneering - New training methods for other skills
8 blue charms in a dungeon? I assume you are talking about lower level dungeons, because down to level 6 I get 0-4 blues, mostly 1-2. Also, Id rather buy some supplies and get 4k summon exp easily *for free* (meaning, no rs gold spent!)...

I don't agree.. even the mushrooms and potatoes become decent healers in between fights with one of these (I have the lvl 89 -adept skinweaver- with me if possible) by your side. And guess what, the healers even fight which always help a little...

NukeMarine wrote: tactics: 1. What's the best item to bind: So far I've seen rapier and spear (of the highest level you can wield). On members Complexity 3 you start off with a level 7 weapon so bind that. AGREED 2. What's the best thing to skill in each dungeon: Thus far it's been leveling runecrafting (buy lots of rune, craft highest level) Thanks for the tip 3. What's the best tactic for a boss: Varied, however always drop a gatestone outside the boss's door. When you teleport away to safety, be sure to drop another gatestone before teleporting to the safe room and then again when you come back to the boss. Each boss has it's owns tricks, but so far I have succeeded in meleeing them all, which I am sure will change at deeper floors? 4. What's the best use of Prestige: Seems to be looping through the dungeon - A) Run through all floors once so prestige is at max B) Reset prestige then run through floors again start at floor 1 C) Track bonus at end to determine best floor to start at, since it's an average of floor and prestige level Seems to be the way, and currently I am killing all monsters, opening all rooms, but it seems others that level faster rush to the boss each time. Not sure if they use guide mode? I don't 5. Unless I'm mistaken, the only way to restore prayer is with potions so keep eye out for aloe and the other herb. Negative: I have come across some altars, but they are rare. Funny enough, when I ran out of prayer, an altar popped up in the next room. My own observations: - I use artisan potion to heighten my smithing skill, allowing me to make better armour. So far, I haven't needed it, but I hope this kind of adaptation will be needed in the largest, most difficult levels? - I try to make a healer (blue charm, 2 blue crabs), because they increase EVERY food you eat with 90 LP, which has proven invaluable to me. Also, when I can make another, I make scrolls, and they heal similarly (but less) to unicorns. - magic is the most helpful skill in my opinion. Not because of the combat spells, but because of: humidify for filling of vials, and indeed the gate stone which will become invaluable on larger floors for sure!

12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
Ín my opinion, it is a skill, but just a complete different one from what we have now (hey, like jagex predicted  ) Anyway, I am sure jagex has already ready some new dungeons, and I am sure those will bring extra rewards, which will make dungeoneering one of the most loved skills when it comes to rewards, also because the rewards can not be traded, therefore leaving out the merchers which buy all the good, tradeable stuff like: spirit shields, godswords, slayer items... Why do I think new dungeons have already been planned? Because the requirement for bosses only goes up to what, level 50? Plus, the whole concept of new dungeons would be rather straightforward to develop, as the principles and mechanics have been set now. So in my opinion we are only looking at a first part of the skill. whether you see it as a minigame or a skill does not matter: jagex called it a skill, so there you go; they won't change that  So now there is only one thing to decide: do you like it or not? Me personally, I like it.. although it is very slow, and I only haven been doing solo runs. Btw, good thoughts on this thread everybody
