  1. I think there's a sparkle of truth in that :P At least, that's how I sometimes feel. Name one mildly successful MMO to come on in the last 5 years that wasn't a WoW clone, and I will take that quote seriously.
  2. Lol pages ago people were all going 'omg slayer iz hardest skill mannn' 'nowaii its rc!' Summoning is by far the hardest, I'm sure 1:1 slayer/summon is possible, but only with a certain task list - which is probably not a viable one to reach 200m slayer with in the first place. Summoning is either 40k/h camping the uber boring waterfiends, OR you can do it the fast way by barraging rock lobs (wfiends in chaos tunnels is slower, btw). In that case, its 80k summon/h, it's a dodgy place where you can lose your stuff easily though, super boring (and ye I'm the only 1 who can talk from experience cuz no1 camped rock lobs that long), and costs a crapload of money to do both that + summoning. So yeah, unless you're some super rich kid already who can stand extreme boredom, summoning is the hardest skill of rs, imo. Actually waterfiends in chaos tunnels with proper gear is over *90k summoning xp worth of charms per hour average. And the only expense is overloads which are worth the herblore xp anyways. *(edit: recalculated)
  3. The only thing more funny than panic buying is people who get upset about panic buying. The market is fine anyways, I came home today and bought a bunch of stuff for the weekend. Was above mid of course but the market is still flowing.
  4. Cooking is 2.3m xp per hour at 0.9gp/xp Edit: I do not consider demonic thrones an option whatsoever. It's like estimating the time it would take to walk around the world 10 times. No it's not! Calculate the time to get cooking brawlers in it and u will get like 5 times less xp/hour Consider that time slightly reduced combat training. Except that combat xp gained while not training slayer or summoning or making gp is completely worthless.
  5. Or maybe those people who want to sell quick and who sell below med would sell their items to those people who need it badly and who pay above med. If you assume that someone who really wants to buy it happens to buy at the same time as someone who really wants to sell sells. What he's saying is that ge merchants in a way provide a service by doing transactions that one might otherwise have to wait for.
  6. riot world 66 fally to protest jagex making it easier to get firelighters in the irl mmorpg
  7. old wildy back we pay we say! new wildy back we pay we say! old new old wildy back we pay we say! new old new old wildy back we pay we say! old new old new old wildy back we pay we say!
  8. tldr version, the op blames the updates for his losses, and two lines later says he doesn't. Come on people, he's not saying he lost his bank because of the updates, he's saying he lost his bank as a result of the updates. learn2read good fight.
  9. the GE isn't dying, it's just free from regulations now. Give it a couple weeks to stabilize.
  10. how can you say you lost money on the white phat rise? white phats were never worth their old market price.
  11. the best f2p moneymaking method is going outside and earning $5 and buying a membership
  12. its apparent from this thread that people want runescape to be the most dull, boring, uninteresting, retard-friendly game possible. I can't believe someone actually said abyss PKing was something they were glad to see go. You're so afraid of luring and scamming, well congrats, you guys got Jagex to make runescape into Hello Kitty 2.0. This is why runescape is a complete joke to pretty much the entire online gaming community. As has been stated many times I'm sure, all the problems the trade limit was intended to solve still exist, except now they're even worse because they appear to be balanced trades. Plus now the economy is a complete mess and I have to say Jagex wants it that way because they could easily fix it by making GE prices update at a reasonable rate.
  13. its impossible to overestimate how stupid and childish runescape player mods can be
  14. Blizzard has every right to kill their forums by removing anonymity. All serious WoW discussion has already moved to 3rd party sites like EJ and AJ. I imagine a change like this would only make the transition complete.
  15. Runecrafting is still a fine way to make money, although it's at an all time low in profitability. I've tried doing GWD for money, which on average is more gp/hr than rc, but the drop rates are so low and you kill them so slowly that it takes a long time for your profit/time to average out (I killled 500 sara bosses and got 1 ss). Plus GWD drops have stayed constant or gone down in price even while gp has gone way down in value due to inflation. I would try TDs but quests are such a massive waste of time that to get any reasonable amount of gp it's faster to just rc from the start. I value the consistency and low attention requirement of RC.
  16. Well, he said 200+ crims per hour which implies to me that he can average at least 200 crims per hour. I guess technically over 250 crims in one hour is possible, which is why I was more curious if anyone had manged to get the 255+ kills per hour necessary to average 200+ crims.
  17. I've tested this method with optimum gear, steel titan, overloads, and turmoil (on a non-slayer task) and I've only managed ~235 kills or ~180-185 crims per hour. I've also tried using void which raised that to ~245 kills or ~190 crims per hour. I'd love to see someone get the 255+ kills/hr required to average the 200+ crims/hr that one sees claimed so often. <_<
  18. I finally fking beat Jad, took three tries but I got him :P thanks for the guide
  19. None of the things you listed are useful
  20. I'm confused, how could you run out of ideas for a fantasy game?
  21. so basically if you want a very slightly better shot at worthless crap, wear ROW. If you want to kill faster to have more chances at getting something useful (or more xp), wear berserker ring. simple really
  22. if you tan your own hides it comes out to 57.8/28.9m so maybe thats what he means
