  1. I didn't realize you were Me_Hate_Libs. I'd been wondering what happened to her. I'm going to miss you. Sorry to see you go. :-(
  2. The referenced page that number was gotten from lists 1M+ subscribers and 8.5M+ active accounts. How is it misrepresentation?
  3. I wish there was a way to report police officers doing this. I see it all the time.
  4. Gratz on the recent 80's. What's next?
  5. Good luck with 70 RC. How will you be training it? btw - I like the red/white look you put together.
  6. I think amiatwork meant the people attending, not to mention the reporters/TV crews covering, the Olympics would be taking up all the hotel rooms.
  7. It's not a hassle for Brits only, I'm guessing the Europeans would prefer the UK too due to costs as well. No matter where they hold it, costs will be an issue for the people of one country or another.
  8. Well, I play on a laptop given to me by my company and during the day I sit in my company truck (with 1000W power inverter to run the laptop) using the wireless internet card they pay for while wearing the uniform they gave me. Sometimes they even pay for my lunch/dinner (I love my company <3: ). That must get me some points in the "true FTP" category. :P
  9. Shh... :-$ Don't tell Tripsis I've been skimming. She'll have my knees broken. :ohnoes:
  10. The pure F2Ps who paid to change their names, didn't pay for RuneScape membership. They paid for FunOrb membership, which allows you to change your in-game display name. That's why it doesn't affect their status, because they have never paid for RuneScape membership. SMS is out, the phone's not mine remember? And I always thought you needed a credit card to use PayPal.
  11. Oh, I remember that! Iirc, it was for libel or something, though I don't remember the topic. Now I'm curious as to see if it's still on these boards. If I'm not mistaken, it was over some things that were said in a Tip.It Times article that was removed after Andrew contacted the admins.
  12. I've updated the first post a bit. I've added the QFC to my stats post and sprinkled a few images around to make it look a little less plain. I also finished the Thanksgiving...um...event?...quest? The story had potential, but it really feels like they phoned this one in. I guess that post RuneFest hangover lasted longer than anyone expected. :P The new Herald cape crest looks okay though. I wonder what other crests they're going to come up with. [spoiler=Thanksgiving 2011]
  13. So will they be continuing to support the fansites they've already acknowledged, or will this be the first step towards distancing themselves from fansites altogether?
  14. That's been my opinion of them since they were first released. I'm not a fan of degrading armor/weapons, no matter how good their stats are.
  15. I don't see why not. With some people they can be almost as addictive with similar repercussions to health and family.
  16. Welcome to TIF, AMdbMA. :) I'm glad to see people joining to express their opinions on the Times this week. I have to take exception to this, or at least part of it. Merchanting is not an illicit means of acquiring wealth in-game. As a member of a clan that teaches players how to profit by buying small(ish) amounts of heavily traded items, I myself have gained over 100M gp by doing exactly that - buying items on the G.E. for a few coins below average and selling them for a few coins above. The RuneScape version of day trading if you will. Now, if by "merching" you were referring to the manipulation clans that conspire to drive prices up to fill the coffers of the clan leaders, then I heartily agree. I'd like to put those people in a sack and toss the sack in a river and hurl the river into space.
  17. Congratulations to both of you.
  18. Even with an automatic transmission, there are still instances where you need to put your feet on both pedals at the same time. I have to do it regularly at a couple of intersections around town that are uphill so I don't roll backwards when the light changes.
  19. Same here, and even NYC would be a stretch on the old budget.
  20. Unfortunately, as long as there is free trade, there will be scamming. Even with trade limits there was still scamming. They've made excellent changes to the trade interface over the years to try and lessen it, I don't see how they could get rid of it completely.
  21. That's the plan, but my internet at work is pretty sketchy so the first page doesn't load very well. :P I'm going to be reworking the first post a bit in the near future and that QFC will definitely be a part of it.
  22. The stat sigs are a great idea, Gradeskip. Looking forward to it. Also, I just posted my stats on the RSOF. The QFC is in my sig. Feel free to comment, rate, flame, troll and otherwise bump it so the page 50 monster doesn't eat it. :ohnoes:
