Driving stories, complains, and other experiences
Agreed, these people are [wagon] and think they own the road, while it's the truckers that have the most experience most of the time. Exactly. Not only that, but generally in courts they favor the non-commercial vehicles: it was the truckers fault. So please do them a favor and stop cutting them off for no reason. Agreed, as long as the truckers on the highway STOP TRYING TO PASS WHILE ONLY GOING 2 FREAKING KILOMETERS AN HOUR FASTER THAN THE TRUCK THEY'RE PASSING! Sorry, but I got stuck behind people doing this a lot today and I'm a little peeved about it. This actually happens a lot. I timed it once before and it took one truck 23 minutes to pass the other. It took a whole episode of Seinfeld to pass another truck, while the traffic piled up behind him.

Top 250 F2P Skill Total List
Thank you so much for compiling and authoring the final top 250 report, Isthatok. I finally had a chance to sit down and read through it. A very fitting monument to the excellence of the F2P community. I'm honoured to be a part of it. :) Edit: I almost forgot, a big thanks to Fire_Hawk154 for all your work in helping to compile the list of F2P players.

On the "Community Site" page. The link is part way down the right side. How stupid. It took a bit for me to find it as well. I liked it much more when news updates were on the main page. The news posts are back on the main page. Weird. They weren't when I made that post. I even loaded the page to double check what the link was called.

Runescape Discussion: Why do you play?
Like ltk and God_Himself (and who could argue with God? :P ) I enjoy playing because it's relaxing. The repetitive actions that don't require a lot of concentration are very soothing after a hard day at work.

The F2P General Discussion Thread
Until they take that away too. <_< Although, in all fairness we didn't have access to the RSOF until a couple of years ago and then they reduced the amount of xp needed so more free players could post. That was definitely one of their better decisions.

Tip.It Times - 20th November 2011
All of a sudden the game's dull and boring? New players won't come because they took away a feature high level F2Pers wanted to keep? Actually you could be right since there's guys like you around who at the moment are continually bad mouthing the game and forgotten everything you've had over the *years* of free gameplay. If they gave you something you did like you'd be kissing their backsides and saying how great the game and Jagex were. I didn't say the game was dull and boring, I said "If it's dull, outdated and just flat out boring, then no one is going to stick around long enough to become a member." I was merely continuing with the argument that Jagex needs to update the free game every so often to prevent that from happening. And yes, I am being critical of Jagex right now because I'm not happy with what I perceive as a bad decision for the game as a whole, an opinion I'm not exactly alone on. But, I'm also more than willing to praise them for good updates and content, and have done so in the past. That's my right as a gamer and a member of this forum, to express my opinion the game and what the developers do to it.

I'm definitely not a fan of the new web site. It's slow to load, and all the flickering animations make scrolling through the page (once it's loaded) very laggy. <_< That said, Turkey Protest! was nice and short and I got to help a couple of people finish it and give them some advice on making gp. Oh, and they seem to have fixed the lag issue when teleporting or when moving from one area to another.

Driving stories, complains, and other experiences
I drive a lot (and mean a *LOT*) for work, so I see some pretty bad drivers on a daily basis. Personally, I have a problem with the type of driver my dad dubbed "the weekend warrior". You know, those people who take the bus to work all week and then drive (badly) to the grocery store or their kids' sporting events on weekends confident in their abilities because "I've been driving for 20 years and haven't had an accident." Maybe not, but you've sure as Hell nearly caused plenty. These people can't maintain speed, merge, use their mirrors/signals/brains. They make me wish I could mount machine guns behind my headlights James Bond style. The other group is professional drivers who should know what they're doing but obviously don't. Mostly cab and bus drivers. I actually got cut off the other day by a cab who was changing lanes, without signaling, while speeding through an intersection. I wish I could say that was an isolated incident, but I have to doge these idiots all day long. :wall: If you're going to drive a vehicle, for Saradomin's sake learn to do it properly. If you're nervous, get more practice to raise your confidence level. If you think it's too big, get someone else to drive it. If you don't know how to pull a trailer, DON'T until you learn. Wow, that became a rant pretty quickly, didn't it?

Kaida23's Adventures of a Big Damn (F2P) Hero!
Thanks, Kabe. Mining is so much better now, you have no idea. Even after the server shuffle, I can still find a free spot pretty easily. Not that the bots slowed me down all that much of course. I had found a great way of mining even with bots that I was going to turn into a small guide to help others, but it would be pretty pointless now I guess. The 99 is coming...eventually...probably...hopefully. :???:  Nah, I've not given up on it. I've been working towards this for over two years now, it would take a lot more than removing F2P from the hiscores now that I'm this close.

Tip.It Times - 20th November 2011
First of all, welcome to TIF TwistedPower. :) Goodbye, RuneScape wasn't trying to say that the free game should be as enjoyable as the paid game, no one is saying that, it would be ludicrous. But was saying that Jagex needs to realize that while the free game may not bring in as much as the paid game (and it does bring in revenue, ads brought in over 2 million pounds in 2010) it still needs to be taken care of as it's people's first impression of the game. If you were a new player and the first thing anyone said to you was how awful the game was, you'd probably not come back. If you played the game for a bit and found it to be dull and outdated, you'd probably not come back. And where are new players going to come from? Recommendations from current players? Online ads? Reviews? If the current players and reviews are all going on about what Jagex is doing wrong with the game, you'd probably never come to RS in the first place. The free game is the first impression of RS. If it's dull, outdated and just flat out boring, then no one is going to stick around long enough to become a member. While the high level F2P community would love to have regular updates and the latest and greatest items/quests, they realize that it's not realistic. This isn't about F2P whining that they didn't get something, this is about taking away a feature that has been in place since the game's inception. Removing the free players from the hiscores is going to further drive apart the already splintered RS community - a divide that has existed since P2P was first introduced. Fortunately, it seems that many current members are also upset over what a large portion of the player base sees as a bad decision.

I agree, this would have made an excellent low-level F2P quest. That said, I also understand why they would save their best efforts for members. Besides, The Blood Pact and Gunner's Ground were pretty good additions to the free game. Although I don't know why they changed Xenia to look like an old transvestite.
