Aside from the lack of bots? Not that I've noticed. The toolbelt/money pouch is useful for clearing up bank spots though. I finally got in to do a couple of floors with my gauntlets (first time since reaching 50) and I have to say they made a noticeable difference. If you have lower combat stats (I'm 68 - 55 att/str/con, 54 def), then I highly recommend this for a second bind. :thumbup:

Glad to see you're back. :thumbup: You should try taking some Accursed Urns with you when you range Greaters/Lessers. It will automatically collect the ashes, and give you 375xp when you teleport it - 15xp per ash instead of 12.5xp.

That's always your best bet. Besides the fact that films dubbed into another language never quite look right (unless it's done for comic effect, of course), our translations aren't always the best. I'm all for people not stealing my spots, especially now that there are fewer F2P worlds, but the problem with things like mining iron is that it's based not on skill level but server ping. I'm constantly being kicked out of spots by people 20 levels lower but with a slightly faster server ping. They need to change Mining so that higher levels can gain higher level ores faster and with more consistency (at 98 Mining mithril/adamantite/runite shouldn't take anywhere from three swings to three minutes :wall: ).

Has it really been a month since I posted here? Dag. :oops: So what did the month of December bring? Let's see. I downloaded Chrome and logged in to RS using it so I could get the chrome goggles. I was really glad that they made it available to all players and not just members. Can't say I'm a big fan of Chrome though, every time I use it Spybot and my virus scanner always seem to find lots of problems. For now, I'll just stick with Firefox. I attended Medragon and L E E T Wcer's double 99 party where Med got 99 Smith and his TFS buddy L E E T got 99 FM and 1200 total. Congrats once again guys. =D> I got in before Christmas and did the event which was loads of fun, especially helping the trolls in the kitchen. [spoiler=Full F2P toolbelt] I was able to free up 6 spaces that were being taken up by tinderboxes, lobster pots and the like. You know, the stuff you don't use all the time but can't be bothered to go scrounging for when you do want it. Now, this is all well and good, "but what about Mining?" I hear you asking. Well, I'm ashamed to admit I got almost nothing done this month. :sad: It's been very busy between work and Christmas, but I had a few days off this week so I thought I'd get in and get some mining done. Unfortunately, almost everyone else seemed to have the same idea. :wall: But yesterday I was able to find a free spot for a couple of hours and managed to get almost 130k xp. It's been a long time since I managed that much in one day! :grin: I now have only 650k xp left until 99. So here is my prediction for 2012: this will be the year I finally finish my quest for Mining greatness! :thumbsup: Where will my adventures take me then? Only Saradomin knows for sure, but I'll be taking all of you along with me. :) I'm also hoping to get back into merching again this year. Now that the bots are gone and the economy is no longer in the toliet, I'd like to try my hand at it again. Perhaps even buy a few Prayer levels along the way. So Happy New Year everyone! As soon as the bot nuke went into effect it was very obvious that a very large portion of the "players" were bots. Now that there are no longer hordes of faceless drones flooding the market with raw materials, the prices on everything were bound to go up.

Competition is all well and good, but when I lose mining spots not because the other person has a higher level but because they have a server ping that's 2ms faster then it's hard not to be upset. :angry: Okay, rant over. Back on topic. The last few days I've been wandering around with my Christmas wand and Avalani's robes and had people rant at me for being a member on a free server (I'm not, but I've never understood why it was a bad thing) and even accuse me of hacking because I stole some wizard's wand and robes. :lol:

So, given the amount of slash-weak monsters, would the 2H be a better bind for soloing?
