Considering they run in game in the browser and with Flash, I'd have to say they do a remarkable job with the graphics. To upgrade to the level of detail in the picture Ring World posted, they'd probably have to move to a downloadable program like games such as WoW use.

Huh, why? So hundreds of people from Jagex have to move over the sea because some of the big guys are there? How does that make any sense? Yeah investors/financial owners don't need to be on site and as Jay pointed out it would put far more things out of joint to try and move the entire company and its few hundred employees over seas just because of a couple of investors. Sy and Bi are right. Insight is an investment firm that manages a 3 billion dollar portfolio. I doubt they'd try to relocate the HQ's of every company they hold stock in. Also, their managing director has a MBA from MIT. OMG. :lol:

Not if you do everything yourself. It's a little more time consuming, but you'll get Mining, Crafting and RC xp on top of the Cooking xp. :thumbup:

They were sacrificed to their corporate god: The Almighty Dol-Ar. As I said in the other thread, this has to be something that they're seriously considering. Since the bot nuke, the numbers in F2P worlds are somewhere around 1/3 of what they used to be. Most of the worlds used to have 1000+ people, now it's less than 300. Even w1 is never full anymore.

Just so long as they don't do it until I'm done with Mining. It's hard enough to find a free spot as it is. :P Seriously though, given that most F2P worlds have less than 300 people on at any given time this has to be something that they're seriously considering.

Yeah, I did a bit more research and found it on the RSwikia, blah. The other ones aren't very useful for what I want to do... Looks like I'll just have to do some more work in looking for what I want. Oh well, thanks. :) What, and where, is it you were planning on mining/fishing? We might be able to give you some bank teleport tips you hadn't thought of.

Then RS would be no different than most other online games out there. The diversity of skills available without focusing on combat is part of what makes the game unique.

It's not exactly 74 Smith, I'm about 20k xp from 75. I'm up over 85k iron ores now with just under 500k xp left to go. :thumbup: I did some calculations on the Tip.It planners ( <3: ), and found out that I'll only be 4500 ores short of 99 Smith if I use the Artisan's Workshop. Also, I won't have to worry about the 50% chance of failure when smelting iron in a furnace. :grin: So it looks like I've found the 99 I'm going to be aiming for after I'm done with Mining - Smithing! :mrgreen:

This. Properly updating a couple of the older skills would be much more rewarding than a completely new one.

I've been considering it. I checked this afternoon and I've got over 80k iron ores. :blink: I'm actually kind of surprised myself that I've stuck it out this long. But I set a goal and stuck to it and soon that goal will be realized. Only 550k xp to go! :grin:

Well, after everything you've said about not binding a plate, I'd look quite the fool if I did wouldn't I? :P I do still enjoy the game, it's a wonderful diversion after a long day/week at work. Hopefully they don't make any other stupid moves with F2P, but, as the saying goes, I'm afraid things are going to get worse before they get better. I'll definitely have to check LoL out. I'm not sure how well I can run it though, it requires a 2Ghz proc and my laptop only has a 1.6Ghz. :-? I'm planning on announcing it well in advance. Don't worry. ;) Lol.
