I checked this morning and my 5 year old laptop (with integrated graphics no less) was getting 20-30fps, but it's still taking a long time to load when I change locations or move across the map.

Correct, why do you weigh yourself down with a 2H sword when skilling (RC, Craft, Smelt)? It just uses up your run energy faster. Also, you should try mining in the Dwarven mine near the resource dungeon. For a small (barely noticeable small) loss of xp you could be banking all of your iron to use for Smithing later. Since the bot nuke it's pretty easy to find a free spot. Nice vid though. I especially liked the first song. :grin: (btw, what's it called and who's it by?)

Thats where some kind of analysis would have to take place. How long can RS last in its current state? Could Jagex afford to have 2 "types" of RS running, this one and a newer one with faster leveling, etc? Except this is exactly what happened whey they went from RSC to RS2. Or have inadvertently introduced them to it simply by playing it. That's what has happened with me. My kids have always loved watching me play and now my oldest wants to get his own account and start playing. He says several of his friends already play as well.

I think a major graphics overhaul would do the most good. It's great that RS is a browser game and all, but this isn't 2001 anymore. A small downloadable executable could bring about much more advanced graphics that wouldn't be too taxing on anyone's computer.

Reflection/injection bots used the actual code to identify items and used those ID's to tell where to go and what to do (that's a very simplified explanation), and screen cap bots use visual cues like pixel colors.

It's very much true. I can't speak to the members' worlds, but the free worlds are wonderfully bot free.

Personally, I don't have any way of playing digital media except for on my laptop, and most of the time I just burn that onto a CD so I can listen to it in the car...and that predates MP3 plugins. I have a feeling this is going to upset a lot more people than they think.

A lot of people are upset that there are no more Dutch J-Mods. They feel that not replacing them is detrimental to the community as a whole, and the Dutch community in particular. I haven't completely read up on it, so I'm not sure if Mod Baker in particular is to blame (or even if he had anything to do with it at all) but a lot of the anger seems to be directed at him.

I don't see why. A lot of his complaints were about bots in the free game, which are, for the most part, gone now.

They could have it in Ottawa. Maybe during Winterlude, which is in...February...in Canada... Vegas is looking better and better. :lol:
