  1. My understanding is that the person who had the cracker got a partyhat, and the other person got a random item.
  2. I'd recommend against this. Mining a full load and then dropping, even with mousekeys, slows things down in my experience. Just drop them as you mine them. Also, if you don't want to fight for ores with a dozen people on a full world, you can still get 30-32k/hr on a world with under 400 people.
  3. That's excellent advice, gemmaster. I hadn't thought about cooking in Al-Kharid. I just looked around on the world map, and it seems to have the range closest to a bank (it's in the building right next to the furnace). I have to agree that would be the best range for F2P'ers. Amaterix, maybe you should do some xp/hr comparisons with making your own fire in the G.E. vs running to the stove in Al-Kharid.
  4. I've been seeing this constantly while mining in Rimmington. I regularly have obvious bots follow me around for an hour without getting any ore. It's frustrating that people are so lazy and desperate for instant/easy gratification that they would stoop so low as to cheat at an online browser game. It's very simple: If you dislike training skills that much, don't train them! If you don't like the fact that you have to grind for hours on end to get a skill to 99, don't do it! If you think Jagex made the game to easy/hard/boring/pointless, then don't play! So you just admitted to botting, breaking rules both here and in RS. #-o
  5. This sounds very interesting, but unfortunately I won't be able to make it. I'm GMT -5 so it's happening from 12-2am for me. Early congrats on 99 though. If you're interested, I have a Blue H'Ween Mask I'd be more than happy to loan out for 24hrs. Let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Try turning your graphics settings down. Also, your problem could simply come down to available bandwidth. Are you running any other programs that would be using up bandwitdth (torrents, other web pages, etc...)?
  7. Not bad. The cost info is nice. Are you going to be adding xp/hour rates for each item so people can make a cost vs speed comparison?
  8. Gratz on 63 Fish and 50 Cook! The best tasting lobster is the one you caught yourself, isn't it?
  9. But only 1/7th the Xp of iron. A three-rock iron pattern in Rimmington or Al-Kharid (which tends to be very busy) gives the best xp/hour for F2P.
  10. Congrats on 77 Agility! I wish I was a member so I could get a set of Agile armor. <3:
  11. I only go to Karamja when I fish lobsters.
  12. I understand why finished products in RS are worth less then their raw materials. It doesn't make it any less frustrating though.
  13. Yesterday, we got a new member of the family! [spoiler=Everyone, say hello to Maggie] Isn't she adorable? <3: My girlfriend, Jen, grew up with a Bichon Frise (which is French for "curly white lap dog". Appropriate, no? :^_^: ). She's been wanting another one since he died a few years ago; Maggie was her birthday present. [spoiler=She's so tiny] ...or I'm just really big. We had to wait a couple of weeks to get her because she wasn't ready to leave her mom, and Jen literally counted down the days until we could pick her up. She bonded with Jen almost immediately, giving her lots of puppy kisses on her face. Maggie spent the whole car ride home snuggling up to her and even fell asleep for a little while. It's amazing how much joy a tiny ball of fluff can bring. Everybody just loves her, even my shepherd/husky Kali. They didn't seem too sure about each other at first, but they've been getting along much better today. [spoiler=One big, one small.] In fact, they're both asleep on the floor at my feet right now. I've never had a puppy before (Kali was almost two when I got her) and it's an interesting experience. Maggie follows me and my gf everywhere, and I've almost stepped on her a couple of times. She doesn't run, so much as she bounds every where, which is really funny when she tries to stop on the hardwood floors. I wuvs my new puppy. <3:
  14. That depends on whether or not you want profit or smithing Xp, smithing them will lower the end value. I swear, RuneScape must have the only economy in the world where the end product is worth less than the raw materials... :wall:
  15. Check out Zaaps' F2P combat guide.

How's a mining bot going to find the head of it's pickaxe when if flies off? I could barely find it half the time. As much as I don't miss the harmful randoms (I can't count the number of times I lagged during one and then had to go get my pick or axe repaired), I'm starting to wonder if they shouldn't be brought back. I've seen increasing numbers of bots lately, especially in F2P mining areas.

A very big congrats! =D>
  18. Wow! 80-99 only took you a month? And here I am struggling away with iron like a sucker. 10/10 with much respect for 99 in an unappreciated skill.
  19. I have a feeling he was having a bit of fun with us on that one. My guess is he borrowed it from a friend, which is why he wasn't concerned about taking it into dangerous places.
  20. Thanks. And just this morning it became even more WOWWWW. That's right cats and kittens, I have reached yet another level of Mining awesome: [spoiler=10,000,000 Xp!!!!] Aw yeah! :XD: Indeed. :^_^: I got looking back through some older posts and realized I have forgotten to brag about post my updated cash pile [spoiler=bling bling] It's amazing how much you can still earn while dropping everything. I picked up my merching right were I left off. Fortunately, the introduction of Dungeoneering hasn't affected my items so they're still working really well. If I can remember, I'll post another pic at the beginning of July. Until next time, Mining lovers!
  21. The problem with the Mining Guild is that you only get about half the exp mining coal there as you would powermining iron in Rimmington or Al-Kharid. Not sure about the xp rates if you're banking though. It's 14k/hr mining coal + mith while banking at lvl 80+. Powermining = too much clicking (I powermined 60-85 on f2p 5 years ago). Exactly my point. That's less than half of the xp you'd get powermining iron in F2P. I'm currently averaging 30-32k/hr on mostly empty (<500 people) worlds. Since you're wanting profits as well as xp Yohbilleh, mining coal in the guild (at level 95) I was able to bank 308 coal in 1 hour.
  22. Gratz on the epic RC ranking! =D> Well done with 22 Dung. Don't you wish going up 11 levels was always that easy?

  24. Wait, the punishment for setting a fire in one of the bathrooms was that no one was allowed to use the bathroom the next day??? Now that's discipline. None of the slap on the wrist, second chance for plagiarizing, everybody's a winner attitude to school we have here in Canada. Don't get me wrong, I'm sympathetic to your problem (I was the same way when I was younger), but it's nice to see there are still places in the world that believe in disciplining their children.
