New Skill!!
Add on "Purple Apron, Level 6. Assigns tasks that require level 80+ in skills. Level 50 working required." Add on " Yellow Apron, Level 7. Assigns tasks that require level 90+ in skills. Level 65 working required. Add on "Rainbow (?) Apron, Level 8. Assigns tasks that require level 95+ in skills. Level 80 working required. Aside from these things, this idea doesn't really makes runecrafting, etc that useful. Look at it this way. Once you reach level 99 in working, who cares about those other crappy skills anymore? And this will probably be one of the hardest skills to get to level 99, just draining money away from the economy by forcing people to powertrain useless skills. Once you reach level 99, you can just go and earn money by doing other skills since there's no special reward except the silly aprons and a bit of crap money that can be earned like 10x faster by selling the lobsters to the ge instead of giving it to the silly old shopkeeper. Yeah i guess 70+ is too little. But i'm not sure what you mean by that last paragraph. I was thinking of more things to do though apart from the shopkeeping thing once you get higher working levels

New Skill!!
Whats the point of training multiple skills? I mean, aside from quest requirements why would you want to train your woodcutting to 60 when you already have 85 mining? Why try and get 91 runecrafting when you already earn 1mil an hour through God wars? Aside from having a high total level, there is little point in levelling up more than one skill. So I thought of a new skill that would encourage people to have a rounded character. Jobs!! Yay. OK, the skill name will be like working level or something. Anyway, this skill is about getting jobs. Its sort of similar to slayer. First of all Shop assistant! (Levels 1+) Being a shop assistant is one of the main parts of the job or working skill. Its more interesting than it sounds. There are seven different shops, and with the exception of three, all have the same difficulty. Each shop has a certain skill that it will force you to use more often by 10%. The shops also have subtle differences. For example, a shop in Al Kharid would ask you to make scimitars instead of longswords a little more and a store in Falador might ask you to pick 20 potatoes while wearing white armour. How it works-Skill tasks Lets pretend that lobsters are worth 200gp each. The shop assistant gives you a task. He says cook me 100 fresh lobsters for 20points. His payment is roughly similar to the price of the item, divided by 10 You have to wear the apron that represents your level (more on that later) On all aprons, there is a symbol representing the person you are working for. Wearing your apron, you have to cook lobsters. Every time you cook a lobster while wearing that apron, there will be a purple dot besides it (like the orange dot on a lended item) and it will be treated as a separate item to other lobsters. You get working XP for every lobster you cook. Once you are done, you withdraw all the lobsters as a note and give them to your shop keeper. He then pays you and assigns you another task. Promotion There is a small chance that you will be given the opportunity to be promoted to the next level every time you complete a task. You can only get this opportunity if you have the required working level for the promotion, although the requirement is so small it probably wont bother you. If you dont want to be promoted because your skills are not high enough or for another reason, you can always change your mind by telling your shop owner you want to be promoted. Your job level affects how likely you are of being offered a promotion This is how the promotion system works (excluding 3 shops, more info on that later) *Brown Apron, Level 0. (Lumbridge shop only) Assigns tasks that require level1-20 in Skills. *White Apron, Level 1. Assigns tasks that require Level1-30 in skills. *Green Apron, Level 2. Assigns tasks that require Level 30-50 in skills. Level 10 Working required *Blue Apron, Level 3. Assigns tasks that require Level 50-60 in Skills. Level 20 Working required *Red Apron, Level 4. Assigns tasks that require Level 60-70 in Skills. Level 30 Working required *Black Apron, Level 5. Assigns tasks that require Level 70+ in skills. Level 40 working required. Note that every apron has a unique symbol for your employer. If you have a red apron from a shop in Falador, it does not mean you are Level 4 Rank in somewhere else, like Al Kharid. So its best to stick with one shopkeeper. Exceptions There are 3 shops. 1 of these is the lumbridge shop. The lumbridge shop does not have a Level 5 job, but it has a Level 0 Job. This is the only shop that is open to free players, who are limited to blue aprons. All tasks below red aprons take place in non member areas, There are two other shops that are the same as other shops, but only have 4 ranks, Level 2-5. These shops are mainly for high levels who can't be bothered fishing shrimps when they could be fishing sharks or something. Other Errands Around half of the time you are training the working skill through shopkeeping, you will be running errands. Random stuff, for example giving payments to Luthas for his bananas, delivering parcels and advertising. Advertising is the only one that I think I will have to explain. Your shop keeper will say something like this. Advertise using spin, jump, raspberry and bow in Falador square You will have to go to Falador square and do these emotes. Every time you click the right emote, your character will say something like Go to Port Sarims shop for great deals ect. ect. These tasks give more points if you have a higher level apron. (So it is not affected by your job skill) Completing these tasks give working XP. Banking Coming soon Merchant Later Rewards Apart from the aprons, there are some other rewards that you can buy with your points *Money: The gp you get is equal to 10x the points you have plus20% * *

What is rich?
What lol?? Since i can only earn 200k an hour and play 6 hours a week, presuming i did nothing but earn money, it would take me over 6 months to not be "poor" lol. I think it would be Poor 1M- (Most F2P players do not have over 1M! And they make up a large amount of the RS population. Middle class 5M-30M (All those level 70's and 80's you see everyday will likely have less than 5 mil. 30M is a lot!) Rich is 30M (Super rich you can buy practically anything in the game that will actually help you. eg. everything excluding party hats and third age. Spirit Shields don't count!!)

Losing motivation from runescape, then finding a new source?
To be honest thats kind of sad, you shouldn't have to force yourself to play Runescape. I mean i'm sure you have friends in real life as well. Its kind of a good thing in a way because you will have more time to work hehe ok but if you really want to play Runescape don't try to do any "hard work" or something just do what you want. Really, don't try to force yourself into getting 100mil or whatever goal you have but do what you feel like and if there is nothing you feel like doing, just quit and come back later.

Hard Work
how does d legs own d skirt if they have the same stats 500K is worth not looking fail. Hmm, Ray, remind me who I sold a D Skirt to once. I actually had NO money lol I used it all getting 30 on every skill. I kinda grinded mage expensively too :S Just be happy I didn't mention the discount... Oops, too late. And in a late reply to hihihi, you're generalising, I hate that. Its the friggin' low levels that annoy us, and the "high" levels annoy us too. I can't go around wearing what the hell I want without getting "Emot plz" and "Lend for 24h plz". Yes, I did put in some "hard work" for my stats. One can argue that you're not doing hard work working in retail, serving customers, but guess what, you are. As long as something requires concentration, it will, to some degree, be hard work. Don't [bleep] generalise and make us out to be the bad guys. Its the [bleep] kids, not the damned high levels. I, and many other mature players, help out people who have genuine problems, but honestly, we get tired of hearing "3k plz" and such. Hell, when playing, I either lend a rare to my mate, or stop because people annoy me. Err are you sure you know what i'm talking about? I'm ranting about how people think that high levels have put in a lot of hard work, when in fact they are playing a game, in other words they have more free time so they have less work. I'm not saying anything about "Emot plz" or "Lend for 24h plz" i'm talking about when people go "wow i really respect that guy for having a slayer skillcape, he must have worked hard!" I seriously have no idea where you got the idea that i'm angry at high levels for not giving me 3k... in fact i never even said i hated high levels at all, so how am i generalizing? Unless you are saying that i'm generalizing that high levels don't work hard to get high stats. If so then prove me wrong. Tell me why you consider training a skill, eg strength equals hard work (doesn't most of runescape revolve around training skills?)... i honestly have no idea how playing a computer game makes you a more hard working and respectful person than someone who works too much to be able to play Runescape as much.

Merch Clans -- Are they legal?
I'm no big fan of Merch clans but thats a bit overreacting. OF COURSE THEY DO IT FOR THEIR OWN BENEFIT. Its not like they made the clan to feed people in Africa. What do you call pvping then? And how does that differ from normal merchanting? Also, its not a scam- people will always dump early, but its not a secret conspiracy that generals talk about behind your backs. Everyone does it. BTW, merchanting doesn't involve hard work, NOTHING on Runescape requires hard work, ok? I even made a thread about it. Although i agree that they ruin the game, there are way to much of them now lol. Sorry if it sounds like i'm angry at you or something, i don't suggest you join one because they are a waste of time, you have to get to the GE really early which will mean interrupting what you are doing, and around a quarter of the time the items fail, which could possibly lead to a complete waste of money.

Fighter Torso :-(
Well, Torso+Veracs skirt+attack skillcape+hood looks ho0ot. Sorry double post  >_> Lol no offence intended but i don't think much people care if you look ho0ot on runescape. Anyway, seriously, fighters torso isn't worth getting, 4+ strength is really small, if you like strength that much just get an ammy of strength. In the time you spend to get it, you could probably get enough strength levels to make its strength bonus completely negligible, not to mention the extra defence. Otherwise you could just spend that time getting 3 mil for a berserker ring. The only reason you would want fighters torso was if you enjoyed playing barbarian assault or maybe the odd pure

At what point should a F2P become a P2P?
When you feel like it. Runescape isn't about getting the fastest possible exp and money, its about having fun. And what from i remember, p2p has plenty of low level content

Hard Work
I don't hate high levels for choosing what to do in their spare time. I just hate it when people act like it makes them better- i see proof of this almost every day like last week when someone called me a noob for not being able to afford d legs. (I needed an abby whip so i decided that d skirt wouldn't be much different). In fact your post just proves my point further. High levels are usually people with lots of free time. Since free time= not much work to do, doesn't it mean that high levels don't work much instead of what many people seem to think- that they put in a lot of "hard work"?

Hard Work
I have nothing against high levels. Sometimes i'm even impressed by their blue party hat or prayer skillcape. But why do so many people respect high levels because of the "hard work" they have put in? The other day a guy with a cooking cape came came up to me and went "noob you have an obby cape i have a skill cape hahaha" and i'm like "ok" and he's like "haha you're jealous because you can't get a 99. haha. lol. noob. hehe.". Ok. First of all, becoming a high level isn't very mentally or physically challenging. Even the simplest of bots can give you 99's. So why do people respect high levels? Is it because of the "hard work" they have put in? Deciding to train slayer instead of playing castle wars does not count as hard work. As I said before, Runescape isn't mentally or physically challenging excluding the odd time your arm feels like its going to drop off from excessive clicking. All it requires is TIME, and maybe a little bit of luck. But Runescape is a game. How does playing a computer game more than someone else make that person worthy of respect due to his "hard work"? Maybe the other guy was too busy doing real work, like studying for his exams or practicing an instrument. Zezima sounds like a nice guy. But why do people respect him so much for his "hard work"? Why is mod mmg's cc full whenever he's there? Some people like him play 40, 50 even 60+ hours a week. Computer games, something you should be doing for fun in their spare time, is their life. Maybe we should think of these people as lazy bums instead of hard working gods we will never be half as blessed and intelligent as. But there is always the odd person that will go "no, but it shows they have extreme determination". Err maybe but is that a good thing? Determined to play a computer game more than anyone else? Respect people for fighting in wars and preventing a terrorist attack. NOT FOR PLAYING A COMPUTER GAME LONGER THAN ANYONE ELSE.

Runners in Fist of Guthix
OK... so i basically agree with this. I ran around once and my hunter called me a chicken. So annoying. I wasted him btw. Anyway, there are a few exceptions... like yesterday when i had a level 20 target. Basically, what happened was i ran into the middle. He wasn't there. I ran everywhere and than walked everywhere and i walked and walked i turned on a movie i walked i walked and FIVE minutes later i saw him crawling along the very outer edge of the map. I killed him and it didn't even do him any good because my 2300 charges easily beat his 1000. But the thing is, its ANNOYING. That's not strategy... hes simply delaying his imminent defeat since you hardly get any charges by staying at the outermost end. Its interesting if they run behind a wall and then go into a house and run the opposite end ect but there are times when it is just plain annoying. I agree with this otherwise though.

Help for quests. Should you use them?
Other than trial and error and banging your head on the keyboard, I would imagine hard work. That's why I have the utmost respect for the people that actually go out and figure this stuff out. Its not work if its a video game! lol, i ALWAYS use a guide if it sounds dangerous, not for the easy ones though. Like Monkey Madness and Fremmy isles, they were both really annoying and really fun at the same time. If i hadn't used a guide... monkey madness took me 7 hours so yeah

Runescape and it's place in History
Wait--- i thought that the 14th and 15th century still counted as the middle ages. Good job, although since its a game and a different place from earth it might just have progressed faster in certain areas. Also, just because the crusades happened before the renaissance doesn't mean that runescape is set in the renaissance because there were religious wars before the present time. And you have to remember its a game with some modern influences... like the grand exchange and the classroom in the random event which looks like a modern classroom, not a old one. Btw, the telescope was invented in the 1600's. But overall i agree with you, although the dragon slaying and stuff make Runescape seem a bit like the middle ages as well lol.

Why aren't there anymore sharks in the GE?Is it cause of ...
Embarrasing? How the heck is having low stats embarrasing when the only thing thats stopping anyone from getting high stats are several hours of mindlessly clicking on a rock on the computer screen.

F2P Mage and range underpowered
Eye problems? No wonder you didn't read the posts properly. I don't need to argue with you. Seriously don't tell me what to do and to calm down or whatever. I didn't hire a psychiatrist. Who cares, just focus on the main matter-that is mage. Then list them... talk is cheap. Lol nice one. You can't answer my questions and you know you are wrong so you didn't even reply to my argument. i can copy and paste it again if you want

good, trusted merchanting clan?
Basically, a bunch of people join a clan chat, the generals choose an item that is in high demand to be merched and tell everyone in the clan to buy it up thus causing the price of the item to skyrocket thanks to the ge. Once it gets high enough the generals and other higher ranked people in the clan will dump the mass amount of items they bought before telling everyone else. So they pretty much just use people as pawns to drive the price up for their own benefit and usually sell without telling a lot of the other people who bought out the item. Almost all are not to be trusted. Although its true that people dump without telling other people, its not like the gens and leaders plot it out so its some kind of secret master plan. Almost everyone dumps early, regardless of whether they are leaders or not, you would be pretty silly not to. I don't really think they are worth the trouble tbh.

F2P Mage and range underpowered
Lol talk about angry. I never said that f2p mage isn't underpowered, did i? I'm just asking why you made this topic in the debate section if you are going to flame everyone who disagrees with you. He gave his reasons for why f2p is a demo and your reply is basically 'GET THE HELL OUT OF MY THREAD YOU ARE SO SELFISH ITS NOT LIKE ITS UPDATING MAGE IS GOING TO HURT MEMBERS" which doesn't even have anything to do what he said in the first place. And who cares if i'm not proof reading what i write you can obviously understand what i'm saying anyway Who cares whether F2P is a demo or not. Look a few posts above you and you'll SEE COLD HARD CONCRETE EVIDENCE that f2p mage will be balanced. So shut up. F2P mage isn't balanced and there is no need for idiots like you telling me that it is balanced. Even Mod MMG, the CEO of Runescape said it himself. So don't tell me anything. The CEO's decision is final. F2P MAGE IS NOT BALANCED! If mod mmg saying that f2p mage is underpowered (which no one is denying anyway) is "final' what did you make this debate in the first place. Before you type back try calming down and maybe you will realise i never said that f2p mage "it is balanced" yipee that means according to you i'm not an idiot but then again coming from you i'm not really reassured.

F2P Mage and range underpowered
Yes it is. Why don't you shut the hell up and the get the hell out of my thread. Its not like if we get an update you don't. F2p mage deserves and update after waiting SO long. P2P mage would also be updated. The new spellbook would definitely come with p2p spells. So shut up and get lost. There is no need for selfish idiots in this thread. So what if f2p gets an update? P2P usually gets the longer end of the stick. Everyone is happy, except for some idiots like you who are NEVER satisfied. Get lost and play another game then, but the point is you'll never be satisfied. Summary: Get the hell out of this thread. I agree that f2p isn't a demo but he gave reasons for his argument and your reply is basically "get the hell out of my thread". talk about overreacting your social skills amaze me. BTW you should get some lessons on how to read its amazing how useful it is, he never said (well, in the post you were quoting at any rate) that F2P shouldn't get an update but instead that it was a demo. On topic, i don't think f2p mage is thhhat underpowered i mean i think blast is good enough, your not going to see much f2p's hit 16 with a rune scimmy and 56 strength. i think f2p should get snare or entangle however and armour similar or slightly better than druidic/combat robes that doesn't degrade.

F2P Mage and range underpowered
Yeah, very true. What kind of crap is this? If you can't think of anything constructive to say, just shut up. Oh yes, all of your posts were constructive. Oh yes, all of YOUR posts were constructive. Wow... you are really nice aren't you. BTW that doesn't really work because he never denied that his posts weren't constructive he's just pointing out that you are hyprocrite lol Wow...whats your IQ? 10? He said my posts were not constructive and according to you he never denied that his posts weren't constructive, so it means his posts are not constructive and he is criticizing people of posting nonconstructive posts? That's what I call hypocritical. He's critisising YOU for being a hypocrite, you basically described yourself right there. You said his posts were not constructive yet not all your posts aren't constructive either, which he was just pointing out. And just because someone disagreed with you doesn't make it unconstructive. What a loser seriously try calming down plox, you're going to end up killing someone and going to jail one day.
