  1. You seem to be missing the point. this is the internet, people can lie about age, gender and location and even interests, this would not help us at all verify an account especially since it's public information. People can also lie about age/gender and have done so countless times on this forums history. the longer you post, you will quickly learn who is a boy and a girl, old and young, and who is intelligent and not. As far as removing the birthday year from birthday field - that is how IPB works and if you are that paranoid of people knowing your birthyear - you probably don't want them in general knowing your birthday! There are no ways to make parts of the profile public and private nor will that ever be an option in all likeihood - fill it in or don't it's optional. If you want to know more about someone, click the profile, there is really no point cluttering up the actual forum threads with countless drivel of what people put in profiles. Lets take yours for example (no offense meant of course), on the deflection skin the words "Laying, miserable, in a coffin... Wishing to smash the world's shell and revolutionize the world..." - I mean that's not a real location, and is that necessary? can someone learn something from that? Probably not . Judging by length, your interests would also distort the page That being said - if you really want to know what someones age and gender is - click the profile - the worst that will happen is you show up in the recent visitors in the profile tab - and hey - that might help us catch stalkers. Either way, I doubt it will ever be done as many people see no need for such a frivolous and un-needed feature.
  2. it's not that the decisions are a headache , it's that 1) Our coders have a long list of projects and improvements and I don't see how this benefits people other than to satisfy peoples curiosity to save them from clicking a link. I've seen people discriminate against users here because of age and gender before - and i'm not overly keen about making that information available. 2) Not everyone wants to share gender and age. Some people have a right to privacy to not disclose that information and curious minds may annoy and harass them to get it. 3) As much as people say people won't be judged i read the following Different adults and children come from different upbringings, cultures and countries where they may or may not speak english or have proper education . Gender has nothing to do with intelligence and this isn't a dating site. This has minimal use especially as people do fill in the interests field short stories that may stretch the page and this information is already available a click away.
  3. it's the internet - does it really matter what age and gender the other posters are?
  4. I have to admit i love the task of identifying people by gender by posting style with nothing overt - sometimes i've thought female posters were male, and men were women. also - think of how many people think darkrick is a woman due to his avatar. LOL
  5. A new challenger approaches. Oh god no, - a hard line approach like that nearly killed tif in 2004, Delete is a naughty tool for mods to use. We have a no delete policy. I've always felt we should be less of a hardass and more customer support like. Views on updates shall not ever be limited speechwise here, such of an idea goes agaisnt my core beliefs and i'd walk before imposing "Speech rules" - this isn't 1984 kids, or scapeboard. as long as people are offensive idiots and curse like sailors or the sort, i'm fine with people pissing on new updates, because you know what i say. "WE PAY, WE PK" from 2001-2003 - Tip.it had very interactive and engaged moderators and rose to the top, from 2004 onward for awhile it was bloody horrible I've been here since 2001 Before RSC there was rsnewera and to a degree camelot, though more really for high levels and not clans, tip.it was the mecca from 01-03 really. Pre Scapeboard. If you feel a post has been removed unfairly on this thread - please let me know and i'll investigate it personally.
  6. I could of done alooot more for ROTJ and the cartoons :P But the 80's were great...now these photos are not from my collection (i wish the joe one was lol) With the exception of the toy biz marvel line in the early 90s and marvel legends don't really count being so dang late in the 90s and being more of a 2000's decade line Don't forget super powers too
  7. in my view this isn't about pushing over a sheep or fighting a weaker animal your weight, it's about fighting an animal that has a chance to maim you (maybe not kill you, but could) that you might could beat, but you may lose a limb.
  8. I'm game Gi joe and transformers (fun story behind the burghardts) THUNDERCATS Spiderman and his amazing friends Return of the Jedi! The NBA was still good... Crappy movies were made
  9. just remember, you'd have to fight the fish in the water, you'd be better off fighting a large dog over a marlin with a sword attached to it.. That being said, this worked better on my forum where we were alll 200+ LoL.
  10. I'm not expecting people to wrestle a boar, bear or tiger, thats stupid, But what about a baby giraffe? a doe deer? a pissed off chicken? turkey? maybe a cow? Ostrich? I'd wager half of tip.it is out of shape, myself included, but some of us might of taken some karate - a 12 year old boy killed a boxer dog with a jujitsu hold Most animals would be deadly foes - while i disagree tools are our advantage, lets just use a machine gun - i think this is Darwinism at it's finest i mean i think i could take an emu or a llama easily enough in a ring., would i punch it? No, but maybe i could grab it's neck or mount it from behind and put it in a hold..
  11. A boar? thats ballsy! I guess the smaller ones dont have tusks
  12. is this considered trolling? After all it is "War machine"! Cool pictures so far though, I've always loved the P40 Warhawks
  13. Oxygenated blood leaves the lungs and enters the Left Atrium (LA) of the heart via the pulmonary veins. This oxygenated blood is then pumped from the Left Atrium (LA) of the heart to the Left Ventricle (LV) of the heart, and then out of the heart to the body tissues via the aorta, which is the major artery leaving the heart. The aorta divides into other arteries that serve different parts of the body (as mentioned on the page about the structure of the heart). These can be separated into two categories: blood supply to the upper-body, and blood supply to the lower-body. Blood Supply to the Upper-Body: The aorta leads to the subclavian arteries that take blood to the arms (some of which eventually reaches the hands), and also to the carotid artery that carries blood to the head. Blood Supply to the Lower-Body: The aorta also leads to the hepatic artery that carries blood to the liver, the mesenteric artery that carries blood to the small intestines, the renal arteries that carry blood to the kidneys, and the iliac arteries that carry blood to the legs (some of which eventually reaches the feet.). Deoxygenated Blood Blood is deoxygenated when it leaves the tissues and organs it has supplied with oxygen and other nutrients, to return back to the pulmonary circulatory system. This can also be summarised for the upper-body and lower-body separately: Return of Blood from the Upper-Body: Blood returns from the head via the jugular veins, and from the arms via the subclavian veins. All of the blood in the major veins of the upper body flows into the superior vena cava, which returns the blood to the right ventricle of the heart. Return of Blood from the Lower-Body: Blood returns from the small intestines by passing through the hepatic portal vein to the liver. Blood returns from the liver via the hepatic vein, from the kidneys via the renal veins, and from the legs via the iliac veins. All of the blood in the major veins of the lower body flows into the inferior vena cava, which returns the blood to the right ventricle of the heart. After re-entering the (right atrium of the) heart via the superior vena cava and the inferior vena cava, deoxygenated blood is pumped into the right ventricle of the heart and then out of the heart to the lungs via the pulmonary artery. Deoxygenated blood enters the lungs and is oxygenated before leaving the lungs (as oxygenated blood), and so the cycle begins again ... right?
  14. Purple party hat costs more than neiz because it"s better dragon battleaxe costs more than dds because it's better. Bandos GDS > Whip? not in my book Sometimes you can put wayyyyyy too much numbers to things, and in a dice roll game, i dont think "cost ratios" to armors is going to be a "smart" guide to keep updated.
  15. This post made me think of this video at the end of the post Carl Sagan would of shed a tear at this discovery today. I hope we for one, are not alone "How lucky we are - to live in this time, the first moment of human history when we are infact visiting other worlds" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSgiXGELjbc
