  1. terrorism is a loosely defined word. The Americans terrorized the British empire.
  2. This entire post is so full of [cabbage]. I really don't know where to begin. First of all it wasn't "Playing a video game" that is the problem, it was the combined effect of sleep deprivation, manual labour (day time) along with hours and hours being stuck to a computer screen. They were also assaulted if they did not meet the quota. First of all, you can never possibly imagine what these people went through, so "playing a video-game" is a major understatement. I cannot imagine how can anyone can find the conditions described in these prisons even tolerable. I don't want to resort to name calling but I do not believe that you were at all serious when you made this post and I am certain that you are a troll. And and we are not allowed to examine this issue just because it has no impact on our lives? You are asking us to turn a blind eye against what is clearly the case of human rights violation? Criminals or not, they do not deserve to be living under such conditions. I can't help but to agree with you - well said. Clearly Blyaunte did not read the article, or did not read it close enough.
  3. I'm sorry but if that happened here in America, where "big brother" bulldozed homes for "reasons" "good for me" i'd be dead or jailed for shooting the guy driving the bulldozer and whoever else cared he died. i'm sorry, but whats the justification for that playground in the youtube video? a hideout? engineering? can't drive around? If you think every house is destroyed with purpose for a greater good you may be the most blind, overzealous and downright scary patriot of any country period. Yes, it happened in every major war, the problem is - and i'm sure an intellectual like yourself will realize is that your "war" is mostly guerrilla warfare. It's easy to spot a Me Lei massacre in Vietnam - it's a hell of a lot harder to spot legit soldier kills in your "war". Warfare today is messy and social media has made mess up's harder to hide from. According to a 2001 study by the International Committee of the Red Cross, the civilian to soldier death ratio in wars fought since the mid-20th century has been 10:1, meaning ten civilian deaths for every soldier death. It's only rising as warefare changes. So http://www.nytimes.com/2010/10/23/world/middleeast/23casualties.html?_r=2
  4. I'm not ginger, but Allyson Hannigan, Karen Gillian, Gillian Anderson, Heather Carolin, Faye Reagan, Jennifer Korbin, Phoebe Price, Bryce Dallas Howard, Lindy Booth, Alicia Witt, Angelica Bridges and Christina Hendricks are lovely. How did I know you would mention Faye Reagan, das? :shades: too many long nights of lonely admin work? :P

  6. Great speech. I can't play devils advocate anymore!
  7. I'll concede you got me on your username, it was close enough that I just shook my head Your using one example as your basis for denial of a country to a people - is that your only crutch? Aziz Dweik went on record saying recently It looks like they have learned rockets do not send a message, and recently, Israel has looked quite bad as far as publicity goes. I'm sure you've seen me post pro-Israel in the past - I'm playing devils advocate with someone
  8. Surely an intelligent person as yourself must realize that globally this issue is murky and debatable. Throwing out antisemitic insults over the first drip of sarcasm towards being branded radical will only have you written off as a nutjob, theres radical people of all races. Surely you would have to concede on a forum where your username and avatar are based upon your country - theres some obvious bias in your views. It's the equivalent of Palestinian32 saying the exact opposite. You can easily argue that Palestinians today are just as displaced and oppressed and put down as jews were under Nebuchadnezzar. Both groups at the end of the day still bleed the same color and share the same basic thread of humanity. Both deserve a place to call home. Compromise must be sought.
  9. i hope everthing is going well for you in life as well, and wish you the very best

  10. all is well, and of course I would not mind.

I did resign, needed more time in life to have fun and decided my 4-6 hour days running this place were no longer worth it :P

You never know, one day I may be back Lol.

  11. I'm sure it will be done sooner or later. and this "molehill" won't cause any long term problems.
  12. Since i've got a lot more time on my hands, figured i'd start a blog of my adventures in autograph collecting. To start it off, I thought i'd share some of my favorite recent pickups in the last month or so! I collect pretty much anyone and everything with a focus on Star Wars, Voice actors of my favorite cartoons and TV Shows. It's a hobby that requires networking - time and patience. Anyways... Dave Prowse - Darth Vader (The man in the suit) - Star Wars - Obtained directly from Dave Playmate Heather Carolin - She's a favorite hottie of mine - Obtained Directly from Heather Arian Foster - Houston Texans Running Back. The Texans are a favorite team of mine Slug - Better known for being in Atmosphere - One of my favorite Rappers - Obtained with the Fifth Element Preorder Jack Mackenzie - Cal Alder - Star Wars Empire Strikes Back - Obtained from a fellow 'grapher who got him at a convention in Germany. Brendan Fraser Julie Benz Tricia Helfer - Obtained through the Women of Sci Fi convention Kristine Sutherland - Buffy/Angel is one of my many casts I focus on. Even the actors with small roles get me excited. Marc Blucas
  13. How much would you take in a gp payment to change the thread and be like misunderstanding? 2 million gp, a raw herring, and red dye. i woudla figured more!
  14. How much would you take in a gp payment to change the thread and be like misunderstanding?
  15. I didn't think P'mods were supposed to be Clan Chat vigilantes either. But i've only been a Pmod for half a decade. this is a funny thread to me. Anyways I wanted to post this. Carry on
  16. you do realize posts here are not actually "deleted" right? they are just moved to a storage forum.
  17. I don't know if you noticed, but a lot more than 2 people felt a huge need to see certain moderators removed from power. Two of which demonstrated within the past week yet again that they are willing to do something purely out of pride, that they KNEW was wrong. I've noticed whats happened, and i've said multiple times that I cannot condone every action - say it was the right one, but I will say as a user, you only see so much of what goes on, and you guys are quite biased in your personal judgements of who is bad/good as a moderator.
  18. Yep, No remorse, no regrets, I'm sure I could find other people in your group who would of been happy with removed warnings and a forum created ran by the people who actually used it. People who wanted to work with us. I posted my logs too - just because 1) I have nothing to hide 2) I wanted mine incase yours posted first might of been altered. Which reminds me...if you wanted to build your community so much...why are you so worried with this one exactly?
  19. I'll concede, that I did try to get them to stay. If you got 30 pissed off users, 2 of which want to go make there own playground elsewhere because they are butthurt, you bet your damn hat i'm going to do everything I can to reach a compromise with the other 28. If someone's hellbent enough to see that as powergrabbing (not that I needed more power, I had all I ever needed on the admin team and could walk back on anytime, not that i needed more responsibility here (I was spending 4-6 hours a day on this place as is ) Then yeah, I did it.' My goal was to get angry users and turn them into pleased ones, and if that meant people who were leaving would stay and not go contribute to a new community out of anger or spite, then yeah, I wanted to "drive a wedge" between the community. The main part of our discussion was the new metagame forum, it had lots of ideas/concepts discussed, such as making it private, application based, invite only - ran by members of the metagaming community (I mean, they said multiple times most of us were not qualified to run it, what else was i supposed to suggest?) and instead of feedback or a different idea, they saw it as "Tempting people with power" dont know about you but, the last thing i'd want to be tempted with is dead end, no thanks, brutal cog-like job to mod a board on tif. I offered to remove some warnings and Ban's - this didn't really spark interest either, I believe some were lifted anyway during our review procedure. Yeah, I wanted a good faith effort from both sides. Here's the logs incase you're really that bored. I log any and all conversations. http://pastebin.com/1AA089PZ Which is ironic, because i'm not being a Buisnessman, i'm retired, I got better [cabbage] to do. I'm sick and tired of you and a few people acting like crybabies.... I mean you guys (since i'm splitting you according to you, you obviously consider the group as one - right?) left out the fact some of you spammed porn, looked up an administrators personal information and posted pictures of their house on the forums and [cabbage] and you're acting like you're mother [bleep]ing innocent? Or did you hope no one would mention that stuff? The admins have been playing nice, really nice.
  20. Then I suggest if you honestly want to be heard - act professional. I can tell you from experience that You guys have acted like a lynch mob the past few pages. As someone who actually sympathized to a degree with the situation you guys had, your actions and attitude has turned me off majorly. Also - How the piss do you document a phone call anyways? xD ~Das
  21. you're the most unprofessional and worst spoken person i've ever attempted to negotiate with. You displayed zero faith, you didn't want to come to a compromise....Let's see what Gem's I can find [4/15/2011 12:19:11 AM] Grimy Bunyip: i said at the start das [4/15/2011 12:19:16 AM] Grimy Bunyip: i had no intention of not splitting [4/15/2011 12:10:42 AM] Tyler (Logdotzip): Well Ancient the way you're wording it makes it sound like nothing was going to chage your mind regardless of discussion [4/15/2011 12:10:48 AM] Jesse (The Ancient): which [4/15/2011 12:10:49 AM] Jesse (The Ancient): is pretty much true [4/15/2011 12:08:50 AM] Tyler (Logdotzip): Just my opinion here, since Im not part of either party, largely unbiased, but ancient, grimy, you two seem a little unreasonable, Das is basically giving you the whole farm [4/15/2011 12:08:58 AM] Jesse (The Ancient): i know [4/15/2011 12:08:59 AM] Jesse (The Ancient): and i really [4/15/2011 12:09:01 AM] Jesse (The Ancient): really appreicate that [4/15/2011 12:09:04 AM] Jesse (The Ancient): but [4/15/2011 12:09:07 AM] Jesse (The Ancient): it's not our vision I came, I had the power to make some changes, shakeup the boards, you rejected it. So why the [bleep] are some of you guys still here?
  22. Ridiculously enough; yes. I feel the administration and staff has been more than fair, and interested in solving this for the last few pages. Does it really [bleep]ing matter how the original jagex contact was made? as an ex-admin, I could of picked up the phone and played god and contacted jagex myself and posted an answer. I suggested email, because it's really plain as day obvious to anyone with an IQ high enough to wipe their ass that nothing short of a written answer, most likely, research paper with citations from jagex would be written off as [cabbage]. I'm not going to say the tip.it staff has handled this entire start to finish perfect. I believe they are painfully aware of that. I can name [cabbage] i'd of wanted done differently, stuff that should of been done differently and stuff that was done right. The part that matters? the group of volunteers thats getting pretty much crucified upside down here actually cares and WANTS to improve. I've seen [cabbage]ty run forums, and yeah, that includes tip.it in the past - guess what? I've been banned for criticizing staff (and I was less harsh, obnoxious and more professional than the vast majority of you guys have been the past few pages) and pretty much my only words of wisdom are "grow the [bleep] up" You went from people i respected to a degree to what i can't but help as read as whining sniveling, burthurt spoilt brats. I want a happy nice tip.it thats an intellectual haven as much as ANYONE, i worked 3 years trying to promote that, but if you seriously keep acting the way you have been. Get the [bleep] out. Thanks ~Das
