    Sucker Punch

really? I wasn't talking about actors. As far as male acting Talent. Jon Hamm, Oscar Issac and Scott Glenn all did well in there roles. Jaime Chung was just simply unbearable. Her lines were delivered with the intensity and passion of a middle school girl handed a machine gun. She was the weakest part of the movie. Other than looks - what does she has on her resume? Dragon Ball Evo? a bit role in Grown ups? Not much. As far as rocky. The original was nominated for 10 awards, winning three. It's consistently one of the top 100 films per AFI and perhaps one of the most important sports films - period. Raging Bull may be a better boxing film but rocky is a franchise that did quite well. 6 films - 2 "duds" that were average - few movie franchises do that well. Stallone also contributed to the rambo franchise - the 2009 rambo was better than sucker punch in my view, and stallone was a better actor in it - than perhaps anyone in sucker punch. Stallone has brought to two life perhaps two of the most well known movie characters of the last 100 years - comparing him to anyone in Sucker Punch is an insult. As for Rush Hour? It had a 33 Million Dollar Budget, and made it back it's opening weekend (source: imdb), heck the second one made 67 of it's 90 million back. Both films received positive reviews. I can't justify Chris Tucker as an actor, but i'd love to see you justify Jaime Chung. You're comparing a guy who stars in comedy mostly (that do well and get good reviews) to an actress who hasn't made a mark yet in anything and out of 5 female leads, mostly unknowns without a lead role before - she's the worst one. Are you trolling or just posting to post since you didn't bother with a followup to your lulzy direct to dvd statement If I had to rate the 5 female leads in order of performance i'd go Jena Malone as Rocket Abbie Cornish as Sweat Pea Emily Browning as Baby Doll Hudgens as Blondie Chung as Amber Every Adult (Hamm, Gugino, Scot Glenn,Oscar Isaac) outpreformed the films "five stars" However it was still visually awesome.

Pretty much this The imagery and the fightscenes were phenomenal and the music really went well with the scenes. I enjoyed watching it. But the acting at times was so bad - I laughed. Hard. I'll probably buy it on Blu if it's true it has a total of 20 minutes cut out to make sure it got the PG-13 rating . if I had to compare it - i'd say it's like southland tales or a mix between the awesome of donnie darko and the fail of S Darko. Either way, Must now get autographs of Browning as Baby Doll and Jena Malone as Rocket. Jaime Chung may be the worst actress. EVER

you do realize most dvd's don't sell at $25 anymore, regardless of if it's straight to dvd or not. Disney Blu-Ray/Dvd Combos do and other DVD/Blu combo's do and thats about it, Most Blu's start around $20 and Dvd's around 17 for feature films (IE: Potter, etc) - Some Films like Red were $12.99 on Blu release week and still didn't sell well - asides collectors - the DVD Market is really not that great of a vehicle anymore for direct films - Spirt Camp - a slasher flick that was indie - had trouble selling cast signed copies of the DVD for $30 - hell even I didn't even order one and I collect signed stuff - although my reason why is a bit lulzy) Take the I Spit on your grave remake. As far as hype goes - it's a remake of one of the most disturbing/violent well known Horror movies among avid horror fans - The original was considered a "classic" and the out of print region 1 DVD sold upwards of $150-200 before they re-released it. Straight to DVD for the remake and it's opening week had prices at $10 for Dvd and $15 for Blu. The rerelease of the original ($20 for the dvd and $23ish for the blu on amazon) Outsold the hyped remake in sales rank by close to 50 spots. Van Wilder/Pie film's don't even rank and often can be purchased somewhere online for $5 a month after release. They also have very low budgets. Most involve pretty young actresses who are desperate to be noticed to where they will go topless for a few moments. Sucker Punch a Zack Snyder Film - it's a visually striking action film where the key is on action and using action to build suspense with large battles - it's more "300" esque than any of snyders other movies (Watchmen, Dotd) - It's painfully obvious from the trailer that the movie had to have a higher budget than the last 3 or 4 direct comedies combined. The movie is focusing on visually striking action to lure people in, and face it - it appeals to men with the outfits and looks of the cast. The movie will be like a popcorn flick - one to take as fun and mindless and some critics are incapable of appreciating anything that doesn't feel like it's making a serious oscar run. 300 = 60% on Rotten Tomatoes. Watchmen = 64% The Mummy = 54% (often coined the start of "The summer popcorn flick") All of those movies were entertaining enough to eat down popcorn with and feel like you enjoyed it, and i'll be damned if Watchmen wasn't one of my favorite movies. Got a date with a beautiful lady for Sucker Punch - Opening Night - And no matter what happens with the date - at least some action will be going on somewhere!

  6. i'd like to think my stats are half-way decent. I've played for a long time, near a decade. - During that time 1) graduated highschool with honors 2) Earned a degree from a university 3) hung out with friends 4) accumulated a long list of crazy ex's 5) held down a job since i was 16 6) got promoted to management in a job that uses my uni degree. 7) earned eagle scout 8) enjoy multiple hobbies non runescape related. 9) help run a fansite 10) have what i consider to be a high quality of life. 10b) Wrote and produced a rap song because i always wanted to 10c) wrote a bucketload of poetry 10d) i could make this a 50 point bulletin During that time on runescape I've 1) Logged a ton of game time (holy hell) 2) Got 99 Melees (Att, str, def, hp) 3) got 99 smithing 4) got 99 fletching 5) got 99 cooking 6) got my stats to 80 so many damn times i've lost count due to new skills 7) pked like a boss 8) ran two clans over a three year period, was in another for 2.5 9) made some great friendships that have lasted a long time and should last a lifetime 10) had fun I don't think my quality of life would be better without runescape the past 10 years, and infact if you gave me the choice to take away the gametime and redistribute it on my life, i'd say no, because of the friendship,s made and the fact i cant think of much i'd change. It's all about time management. Whats good for one goose, isn't good for the gander always, but you can certainly play alot of rs, and be satisfied with your life

  12. As for the Non-Technical aspect. We here at Tip.it strive to provide the best user experience possible while not sacrificing our users privacy and security. We have two IT Professionals on staff with degrees from university's and industry experience - we would not put our users into danger to speed up our website. Our CDN handles very respectable clients like Mashable, Garmin, Readwriteweb and Earthday.org. As far as your profile image - you are aware currently if you Google your display name and go to images - two results come up already from this forum and another. You can google your display name and see multiple other communities and forums, infact just to prove a point, I found your email publicly posted on one of those sites. I don't know why you're worried with a CDN's privacy on tip.it when you can find out your email you put on public record on another site. I'll pm you the link.
  13. Or Merchants - which Skone was. Or because names like Erixson, Sandytrain, I Wicked I, Masterlance, who da best, footballguru, dmxkobe8, zar family 2, levidog, azot, judiacator or any well known fighter from classics are as equally obscure - Ladykilljoy? Zongui? Maniac 666? PVP, Skillers, merchant, fansite admin, clan leader - it doesn't matter, in time you will be forgotten.
  14. Who are Bluerose13x and Larryr? Bluerose13x - first to 99 smith, revolutionized rune and ran the economy herself Larryr - #1 runecrafer for ages If I had to pick one player for the biggest impact on runescape - bluerose - yet that guy doesnt know her. Proof the game as a collective will never give a damn about a boss hunter or ANYONE. Names like L6VI, TKS, XXcavalierxX, bonebreaker6, Skone751 have all but faded from relevancy as well and all were considered game "legends" at one point. Players come and go - great players - good players - the game moves on like a cog. Unaffected.
  15. thats the biggest load of Cabbage i've ever seen posted on this website. LOL.
  16. Transformers has made hasbro lots of money. Here is a slide from the toyfare 2010 (where hasbro sells retailers products) I don't think Hasbro is hurting for money as far as merchandising goes. Secondly it struck me as i remember reading about a transformers MMO before and sure enough Hasbro originally gave the liscence to netdragon http://www.rpgrank.com/pc_gaming_news_NetDragon-Websoft-Inc-Team-Up-with-Hasbro-to-Develop-Transformers-Online_online_4739.html Maybe it will sink like Titanic Bot? Bootleg and cheap but still considered popular due to the sheer absurdity of it ! Is it really hurting anything?
  17. Beat that? I have half of the G1 casts autographs from Frank Welker to Don Messick. I'm too lazy to watermark my graphs, but i'm sure the staff members can vouch for my collection, it's scope and it's insanity overall. Personally I didn't mind the new toys, as more transformers/joes = bigger battles in my living room. Bigger battles = more fun. Jetfires shoulder broke on me - Which holds the record as one of my two broken toys (o-rings in joes never counted as broken imo). I personally didn't think the insecticons were any more odd than the dinobots (Dinobot island is better than insect robots? really? :P - and grimlock is hands down my favorite transformer. ) either way, i'd take aliens/insects/anything over stupid ones from the movie like the mountain dew machine one. Before the 82 Real American Heroes toylines the joes were 12 inch dolls, hardly the 3 3/4 inch toyline that went over a decade and spawned 2 cartoons, an animated movie, and a 100+ issue comic book run by marvel comics. I'm still working on completing the full run of gi joe figures when I can. The Aircraft carrier you're referring to is the USS Flag and you could easily fit two skystrikers and the Tomahawk chopper or 5 or 6 Dragonfly copters - thing's like 7 feet long. thing was like what $89.99 in 1985 for inflation thats like a $200 toy today, Lol
  18. Did you watch the same transformer animated movie i did? I honestly think you're just talking to talk. the main purpose of the movie was to effectively kill off the entire toybox or the majority of it and bring in new characters to sell at retail - they did the SAME THING with GI Joe except they didn't kill off duke due to the backlash of primes death. Both Films introduce a ton of new characters intended to sell new toys. Buzz Dixon (Hasbro big wig at the time) even said so on the extra features of one of the dvd releases or at joe/botcon. Some Transformers were good kills - the voice actor for Jazz died after the movie - And Casey Kasem left the show anyways. Both movies were guilty of bringing in "big name" voice actors to help sell the movie to parents. Nimoy (trek), Orson Wells (citizen kane...war of the worlds), Robert Stack (Untouchables), Judd Nelson (Breakfast club), Eric Idle (Monty Python) - all of these voice actors were replaced for the following season. Hot rod and Ultra Magnus were key characters just as much as galvatron - and that arguement is a fallacy. GI Joe brought in Burgess Meredith (Batman, rocky) Don Johnson (Miami Vice) , Jennifer Darling (Six Million Dollar Man), Sgt Slaughter (WWE), and other "household names. Infact, both shows used and made use of former TV stars. Gi Joe employed Kene Holiday and Lee Weaver (Matlock and Easy Street) and Transformers used guys like Alan Openhiemer, Roger Carmel, Scatman Crothers, Casey Kasem, Walker Edmiston and Aron Kincaid. Both casts has plenty of "Celebrities" doing roles before nimoy.
  19. Yes, transformers prime http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transformers:_Prime
