  1. Thank goodness you aren't f2p when w1 was the unofficial dungeoneering world... Boy, was that the lag fest. Not only do you got so many people dungeoneering, you got Lumby chatters and GE spammers too. And the Fist of Guthix crowds.

Rune gauntlets are 200 tokens, but you can just buy one on the ge for 75k or so tokens and pay the 75 token recharge fee. Also, treat combat training as dungeoneering. When you're low on health, don't bother fighting anymore after that. Also 26k attack exp left is not "very little", according to my experiences. Just be more careful next time. ;) Offense is the best strategy, but being defensive can save your ass once in a while.
  3. You make more water runes per ess at your level (3 waters, 2 earths). And assuming you cabbage-port, the distance between the water altar and earth altar isn't that great (about 20 sec difference). Therefore, you will make more money with waters. Exp wise though, earths are better, especially when combined with gloves!
  4. Lol... people who even consider kicking are stupid. 1) 1 less person will make the dungeon much slower for the rest of the team. 2) Ever heard of mime rooms, switches, or monoliths? Or even guardian doors? 3) The person being kicked/ragequitted may have the skill level for a door the whole team can't do. Also, dinos don't lower exp. In fact, they are actually beneficial to kill, because they drop valuable hides (especially the dromomastyx) and big bones which you can use on an altar. Not to mention it reduces the risks of monster limiting. Plus, they are extremely easy to kill, so there's no reason not to, really. (Unless it's dead end room.) I find the best setup for dunge is 1 keyer, 3 killers/janitors, and 1 gathere (who can also help kill). Of course, everyone does bosses and the 5-man puzzle rooms. Also unless you're a level 3 leecher, xp share should always be ON. There's no reason not to, really. Who doesn't like free xp? :D
  5. Yes, but it's highly dependent on prices. Water rune = 38 gp each atm -> 114 gp per crafted rune Air rune = 13 gp each atm -> 78 gp per crafted rune You can do airs double the speed of waters, but waters cost 3x more than airs. This means that short-term, air runes are better, but long-term, water runes are better. Since runecrafting is more of a long-term skill, you'll benefit more from water runes.

How did you die to a lesser demon? The only things I die in f2p nowadays are Dungeoneering monsters and other players. But still, that really sucks. I remember dying on my p2p fighting Bork and nearly lost my rune and dragon armor. My amulet of glory was UNCHARGED, so I had to tele to varrock instead. Luckily I had the angel grave, so by the time I reached the dagannoth cave, my grave was still there, with less than 1 min :D Oh well, we all have to go through the dying process some time, right? (And lag ofc.)
  7. A note about LP: It's basically the old hitpoints x10. Basically, when you hit 100, it equals 10 in the old system. Same with other numbers. Numbers like 437 are basically 43.7 in hitpoints (more precise hits). Everything that relates to LP/Constitution is 10x the old hitpoints system.
  8. Or just team with anybody...?
  9. Before you get 1k total, get those combat stats ranked. :D It will surely help you in dungeoneering later. Dung is better when you're higher leveled. ;)
  10. Touch screen Runescape. <_< This is only useful for the most casual of players, and even then, they might find this painful to use properly.
  11. Pink, it's the holidays for us right now (China's October break), and I'm assuming you guys are busy with school stuff. So maybe that's why? Actually this is kind of a good thing for me. W7 people are actually quite underrated for dungeoneering, it's just that there are so many people now, so it might be worse for others. The key is to make sure everybody is doing at least something, clearing out rooms being the primary objective. However, luck can get thrown in there too... a monolith early in the dungeon can make your whole team ragequit. It has happened to me numerous times... I feel like teaming every floor now. Also I need to find myself a new vpn, my current one is broken again... now it keeps using my local IP, not the vpn IP, for whatever reasons unknown (server bandwith issues? if so they really must suck). Once I get 85 dunge, and buy the stuff I want (tome of frost, arcane blast, blast box, scroll of efficiency), I'm going to quit dungeoneering for a while, and work on my other skills. Combat being the primary focus, I need those levels to actually help my team kill stuff faster. Also 70+ all skills, what I want to work on as well. 100 dungeoneering is my long term goal. That way, I can finally get 3 bound items! My wishlist of fractite spear, spinebeam longbow and fire staff would be complete! But too bad we can only have 1 ammo slot... forces me to bind fractite arrows basically. I want bound deaths/laws too :( To everyone else, good luck with their f2p journeys! Whether it's dungeoneering, getting a skill to 99, or getting a statuette drop in PvP. (Phew, long post today! I just felt like saying a lot of stuff, lol. :P )
  12. For me it takes around an hour or so with W7 randoms. For some reason, whenever I'm on now, most of the Dragoon clanmates are off... An alternative is to continue doing your "leecher" tactic. That 33k exp... I have never gotten that high doing normal dungeons. If you can do those dungeons efficiently, then you can definitely gain some good exp. My crap keying skills really puts me at a disadvantage with level 3 leecher dungeons... not to mention it's just a fail way to dunge for me.

There's also the practicality of a method. Sure, you can bosshunt all day and earn hundreds of mils, but are you really going to do that all day long? Moreover, CAN you? Levels also take into account when calculating efficiency and effectiveness.
  14. For guides, some of the guides in the AOW seem better to me than the ones on the Wiki. The only problem is that there isn't a guide for everything, and sometimes the authors fail to update their guides. =\ I guess the best way we can improve is to get more guide writers (both f2p and p2p obviously) to write guides on as many things as possible. Myself, I'm writing guides because I know other people need it. And since I'm effectively training the stuff myself, might as well write a guide about it. It's more of a hobby than anything, but I know someone out there needs help. And since I'm f2p, and there aren't a whole lot of f2p guides, might as well write guides anyway. I plan on writing a lot more guides in the future  The only other thing I'm concerned about are images. I always find myself using RSwiki images for my guides, firstly because I'm crap at editing, but also because the images there are so diverse, and great. Tip it doesn't really match up to the standards of RSwiki in this aspect, unfortunately. And I think it's been established that Tip it has the best forums out of all the fansites.
  15. For food, get a good fishing/cooking level (50+), and fish the salmon/trout at Barbarian Village. Basically your "free" source of food if you have tons of feathers on you. I can kill lots and lots of flesh crawlers without ever having to restock, but if you're a pure, it may be a different story.
  16. He had curses on, so he was unable to use prayers. But after he died, he just ragequitted for whatever reasons not known. And as for the guy who dc'd partway, he "left" for about an hour before returning. I guess the 10 minutes thing only applies to soloers.
  17. Come on, you're getting close to the 500k nats mark. (They're less than 200 each now. :( )
  18. Myself, I don't recommend wasting so much money on runecrafting, especially since this money can be used on other skills like prayer. But, whatever floats your boat I guess... A game of Great Orb Project lasts 15 minutes, and winning all 6 rounds gives you 750 tokens as well as a few k rc exp. However, losing all 6 gives you 60 tokens per game, so you can get anywhere between 240 to 3000 tokens per hour. An air teletab costs 30 tokens, which means you can get anywhere between 8 to 100 tabs per hour. As for inventory space, this will take up 3 slots. 2 for law/fire runes (assuming you use an air staff), and 1 for all your teletabs. That means you can make 12 tiaras per trip. 25 x 12 = 300 exp per trip. You would lose 806 gp per tiara, but this hardly matters since you'll lose money anyway. A time for a tiara trip would take longer than an essence trip, so I'll assume it's 5 seconds longer than an essence trip for this calculation. You'll be resting every 3 trips, so it's 45 + 45 + 79 = 169 seconds per 3 trips. An hour has 60 minutes which in turn has 3600 seconds. 3600 divided by 169, multiplied by 3 (remember it's a combination of the 3), is around 63.9 trips, round that up to 64 for convenience. 300 x 64 = 19200 exp at max. This is assuming you DON'T use teletabs. Now with teletabs, you will achieve about double the original rate, although I have yet to test this. Adding teletabs makes the figure a hefty 38k exp per hour. Back to the GOP data. Assuming you win every game, you will get 100 teletabs per hour. Since you will be getting double the runs for 38k exp per hour, you will need 128 tabs per hour for maximum efficiency. Yep, this is assuming you win EVERY game (which is unlikely). Conclusion? Teletabs are NOT worth the time it takes to get them. ;) I hope this helped!
  19. After spending the 3450 points on all these abilities, I'd probably either save the points for canceling, use them on slayer exp, or on the runes. Probably try to buy all rewards at least once as well.

Although DIY, in a sense, is more efficient than say, spending money on supplies, it doesn't really work out all the time. Things like Combat/Slayer, Woodcutting/Firemaking, Fishing/Cooking, and Mining/Smithing/Magic (assuming you superheat LRC gold) may work out, but are you really going to farm your own herbs for herblore? Are you REALLY going to kill thousands of green dragons for prayer and crafting? Are you REALLLLLY going to rc millions of runes for magic? Face it, it won't be efficient in most cases. You're better off selling them for money to use them on other skills. Also, agreed with the second account thing. But I only have a second account because it had members on it. =3
  21. There needs to be more bots. Bots to screw these ess miners and green dragon botters up. How ironic, using bots to eliminate bots...
  22. I'm not sure if it has been fixed yet, but it's already been a few weeks since the hard diary's release, so it probably should be by now. Can anyone help me confirm whether it's been fixed or not? I'm kind of caught up in my own stuff lately, so I don't really have the chance to do anything runecrafting-related. Not to mention work on my dungoeneering guide. One thing for sure is that there aren't exactly major updates with f2p runecrafting, so this guide will probably stay here for a while.
  23. Don't forget soul runes at 90 runecrafting. But anyways, looking forward to the finished product! I like the ideas so far, especially the agility one :P Speaking of soul runes, add something magic-related to actually make these useful.
  24. I can't wait till a top player gets 3 billion total exp... though that won't be for another 9 months or so. :wall:
  25. Well, congrats! |^_^| Just don't lose it, hehe. Also, today me and Cubemoon (another member of the Dragoons) had to duo a 5:5 Night-Gazer Khighorahk. That particular f28 large was awfully long... and terrible too. 1 ragequitted, 1 left for the most part until near the end of the dungeon (AFTER we duo'd Khighorahk), and 1 went to key and clear dead ends himself. That left me and Cube doing most of the bossing work. I lagged a lot during the dungeon as well... ended up dying 3 times, 2 of them from regular monster rooms. The whole thing took 2 hours, and got 12k exp for our efforts... W7 really fails when not a lot of Dragoon clanmates are on. But what can I do? *points to my 74 dunge and 87 combat*
