Minecraft General
The only bug that's truly affecting my gameplay is running the OpenGL. Its allowing me to play on fast/far, but I crash occasionally.

If that's what happened to you, then the server you played on was utter [cabbage] and had the worst admins ever. Multiplayer is just about the best damn thing the game has to use. I would suggest finding a better server. Try Diamondseekers or Azurecraft. Whitelists stop griefers, and smart admins don't run servers without them. I've been playing on a server started by a bunch of Gamefaqs users and I've been having a blast. And that post you linked to about developers not releasing content? That was written by a regular user, you know. There's tons of stuff in minecraft and just about every two weeks sees a new batch of items and features added to the game. Well no offense, but you would've had the same conclusion and saved 21 dollars if you did a little research first. Meanwhile the number of minecraft purchases continue to rise... Maybe sandbox games just aren't for you.

E3 2011
It's rumored that they removed the dead hands from the game. So the heartpounding suspense in the shadow temple? The interesting bits of the water temple? Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.png From the few screenshots I've seen, the textures of stone look really great, but the smoothing just looks...god awful to me. I really do think I'm going to pass on this for the release--and it hurts terribly to say that. I love OoT ;_;. Just...don't think I'll be able to get used to a DS adaptation. So long as it's better than Silent Hill Homecoming and at least as good as The Room, I think I'll be satisfied. SH1&2 hold special places in my hearts for their deep storylines, symbolism, and characters. SH3 had some of my favorite soundtracks though. I'm sad though because I don't think they hired Akira Yamaoka to do Downpour's music. He was the one who did the music for 1-4, and they were some of the best music to be had in videogames. His lack of participation in 5 was one of that game's many...MANY flaws.

RoW Question.
Renderer123 I think is actually doing a study to see if the RoW triples your chances for a dchain, if that's what you're asking. From that research maybe compared to another monster with a rare drop of equal sample size maybe you can get the proof you want. But as far as I know though, it doesn't exist.

20-Apr-2011 - Dungeoneering Guide Competition
They're just trying to bolster their help areas in time for the Club 99 and Mentor update. And...all guides are free. That upcoming release is largely community driven. So they're trying to give themselves the strength to compete with proper fansites. Though of course, they're putting the cart before the horse because the fundamentals of their systems are still horribly, horribly wrong.

What have I missed? (2 years inactive)
Last week they did a mass bot banning and many people saw increases in their ranks for skills like strength and such by about 40k. So again, I reiterate: they DO ban them, but banning them has basically a hydra effect or we would be seeing a decrease by now. If you have your own conclusions to draw from that, by all means go make a discussion thread about it. That's the place for interpretations. But if someone is looking for advice, please don't give your conclusions as the God's honest truth.

They haven't given up. They just can't keep up. So gathering skills on f2p are even worse than before. The only thing largely unchanged in pricing is probably coal mining, but that's hardly worth the effort to begin with.

..........all of them. Just because the Wii wasn't named Gamecube 2 does not mean it wasn't a direct continuation of the Nintendo console line. It was the successor as surely as the Xbox 360 was to the Xbox. And, honestly, having a new name for your console does not indicate that you've "reinvented" your console. You've just given it a different name. Sorry but a soccer mom playing WiiYoga doesn't count. The thing that brought gaming to the masses was affordability for home use, taking people out of arcades and into their living room. Even before the Wii/Xbox/PS3, the average age of a gamer was around 30 years old. Motion controls are about as intuitive as it gets, I'll agree with you. I haven't seen a game outside of the Wii Arcade though that was purely motion driven and successful with it. In most cases, you still have to use joysticks and triggers. So how is that much different than any other console?- What have I missed? (2 years inactive)
Romeo and Juliet was replaced with a new quest. Lumbridge/Draynor now have Tasks you can do and you can complete 4 levels of tasks to ultimately obtain the Explorer Ring which gives you a handy tele spot south of fally. The clan camp is a good tool for f2pers and p2pers alike that was just recently released. Uhhh.. Gaming was already in the hands of the masses, this isn't 1995. Let's spare the faux-inspirational speeches, it's starting to sound like a Shigsy speech. It's biggest selling point was it's cheap price. And now, Wii users can thank nintendo for designing short lived money drainers. Meanwhile, both the Xbox 360 and PS3 have held steady (if not increased) in sales while Nintendo hurries up to create their newest gaming fad. And I'll dismiss it as insignificant because its power is underwhelming and things we already have seen, just as people dismissed motion controls on other consoles because we already saw it on the Wii. Hypocrisy, thy name is the Casual Gamer. If there was a 'revolutionary' feature, we would've heard about it already, much like we did when we found out about Wii1's motion controls. If you're excited for the Wii2, good for you. I like it because it'll bring more competition in Microsoft and Sony's range, finally, and competition is good. But don't go touting it and its predecessor to be some life changing videogame messiah. It wasn't. ...C'mon now.- Meet one of Jagex's new owners

OH MY GOD YES. I'm going to go nerd out on minecraft the rest of the day. Screw slayer.- E3 2011
The console is insignificant on its own merits because the technology is not current, nor revolutionary. You're arguing about games and your only relevant comparison was that it was equally powerful to current gen systems...whoopie, I already pointed that out myself. >_> Calling it console snobbery just because people aren't impressed with Nintendo's desperate grabs at boosting their own sales since the initial fervor the Wii created started to die down is very...silly. To put it politely. Wii sales have been decreasing ever since 2009 and jump forward to today, and they're not even the top console anymore. There is already been a third Assassin's Creed, unless your not counting the last installment. I kind of sit on the fence in including Brotherhood in story progression. The only real storyline progression that existed was the last 5 minutes of gameplay. - E3 2011
