  1. Renounced it...of his followers. I'm fairly certain that he wouldn't care if someone else's race was completely wiped out. That's war.
  2. And this is why killing off either of these gods so early in their emergence is a crappy idea. Thanks Obama Jagex World Event 2!
  3. That happened with the sapphire/emerald/ruby/diamond ones too when they were first released. Jmod said that a fix was coming for it. I don't know if that fix rolled out or not.
  4. TBH I'd get out of there while you can before you have some bullshit dismissal on your work history tarnishing your reputation.
  5. When companies do things like that, they're usually looking for ways to fire you. I'm not being a doomsayer here, that's just what happens. Be careful Stev :/
  6. I have the extra bond because I agreed to donate it to the winner of the writing contest held by the Tip.it Times.
  7. No, anything you take with you when you respawn is exempt from it I think. Shortly after the degrade update happened and everyone was having a hissyfit there was a thread on the RSOF by someone who had run tests on how it worked. It is spread across what you leave behind in the grave (that you had equipped) but I don't recall how exactly it's spread. Like, what percentage goes to what. I agree that having boots and gloves degrade when previous gloves/boots from degradable sets are exempt from this makes very little sense. It's inconsistent from what we've seen with lower tiered pieces of equipment. It makes even less sense since the harder-to-get gloves from automatons are more expensive and don't degrade whereas dom tower gloves of the same tier do. And just...@_@ It's just kind of messed up all around. Hopefully they will address these inconsistencies soon Maybe they patched it but I'm actually going to go check now with tetsu/chaotics.
  8. The 20% degrade is spread between degradable items you have equipped at the time if I recall. It's really not that big of an issue, even for an item that degrades to dust.
  9. Ancient blog indeed. It was a blast from the past to see those old names in an active thread.
  10. So I had to liquidate my bank in order to buy bonds. I hate to be supporting them at this time, since this package is woefully understocked for its increased price compared to last year's. But I had to for personal reasons. Unfortunately this involved selling my drygores so soon after getting them. I worried that bonds would be 15mil each by the time you couldn't buy the package (Jan 31st) and I didn't want to miss my opportunity. But I managed to do it: (seeing that many bonds makes me a bit queasy) But I hit a stroke of luck (no pun intended) later after reset: So there's that. After making back 10mil at frost dragons, I decided to take a break for a bit. I managed to get 30 magic on oldschool RS, several cooking levels, and a fishing level. Sadly it seems that cowhides still sell better than fish/runes/etc. Luckily my favorite cow spot is lovely and empty most days. I really love how populated OSRS is. It's just so nice to see. It's the sort of thing that condensing live game worlds would help, but you'd never fully recapture that magic. Also I did some quests too :o The night was capped off with a live-game level during a late-night WB session If I keep making 10mil a day or more I'll have my MH back by the end of the week. Hopefully drygores will start crashing again. Dunno if I'll re-buy my GWD armor or not. I might only buy the boots/gloves of each set. Tetsu/Seasinger/Lotus are just so lovely...
  11. The question then becomes "what's the point?" Well they still have those special effects. Maybe it will be more worthwhile now to use them for longer fights? Granted I'm not sure how good they are at all.
  12. Possibly better than the update itself, unfair as that statement may be. That has been so desperately needed for so long. I'm really happy to see it. Seriously though, neat update. I didn't expect them to have special bones. I wonder how much they'll sell for in relation to dragon and frost bones. Regardless it seems they'll be nice, profitable tasks. Wonder how fast they'll go down. Quick, summon Pingouin! HE MUST HEAR OF THIS.
  13. Yeah they only require 90 slayer, not the quest itself. Just the quest needs to be done up until they point where you can actually reach them.
  14. It's not that they don't have the assets anymore. It's that they need to redesign it to work perfectly for the myriad of animation styles regular players have. For example, ever see how your torso splits in half during removing something in your PoH?
  15. Welcome. :) Did you consider migrating over to 07scape when it came out? :o Also what do you think of the clanworld dwindling down to just 6 top clans (zybez based) shortly after OSRS's release?
  16. You should pop into Serpent Eye fc some time and talk with us fellow tipiters! :D Welcome and hope to see you on the forums Cornigee
  17. Why not warbands for herblore and save a bit of cash? Or do you already do them too? Grats on 93 herblore!
  18. Pingouin is probably right. My statement is still due to my (likely wrong) assumptions that crackers will be available on the SoF.
  19. The new combat system is focused around abilities and adrenaline. You remember how you'd click on a target and let it hit things for you? Those are now considered auto-attacks. Special attacks that weapons used to have are now converted to abilities that all weapons can use depending upon your class and whether you're using 2hand weapons or dual-wielding weapons. Adrenaline is built up while fighting and spent when you use your abilities, similar to when you'd use the dds spec and your special bar would go down and take time to regenerate. There's three types of abilities: basic abilities, which can be used at any time and generate adrenaline; threshold abilities, which require a minimum of 50% adrenaline built up before they can be activated and they use up adrenaline; and ultimate abilities, which use ALL of your adrenaline. All abilities have a brief cool-down period that is different from ability to ability. Auto-attacks, which again happen when you let the game hit your target for you once you click on it, generate adrenaline. The amount they generate is paltry, though. Basic abilities generate a lot more adrenaline than auto attacks but aren't very powerful. Remember how enemies didn't really have a weakness before? You could smack them with mage, melee, and range but there wouldn't be one combat style that was better than any other. Melee was just the most cost efficient to use, so everyone used melee. Well now monsters have a weakness. You'll do more damage on monsters using the weapon types they're weak to. Combat levels are also calculated differently. Your armor's defense is a lot more important, as it determines how much life points you have and how well you can withstand hits. Armors don't have strength bonuses anymore. Instead, armors have three types across the magic, ranger, and meleer styles: tank, power armor, hybrid. If you don't wear armor that corresponds with the type of weapon you're using, you'll be less accurate. Uhm there's probably more I'm missing. Other people will correct me or fill in the gaps, and I will try to answer whatever questions you have too. In the meantime, there's a combat tutorial in lumbridge that can also be of great help in learning the new combat system. Hope this helped a little bit :(!
  20. Probably just the santa hat. It sounds like the crackers will be fairly common, and I can't imagine that they'd make the common item tradable when they want to pump up the black santa's rarity as much as possible.
  21. Am I the only one who doesn't care if any single town from here out gets reworked? All the towns look beautiful at max graphics. Not as beautiful as the more recently reworked towns yes, but more than passable. The quests need reworking far more than any town does. FAR more. It doesn't have to be a full, crazy-detailed rework like the desert storyline novice quests received, either. It would still be hard, and costly, but they're some of the first things players see when they start runescape, yet they still look like they're straight out of Oldschool RS in most cases. They're the content that cries out the most for attention, yet they're the most expensive and time consuming to rework. And all of that is being pushed to the back burner because they wanted to bring in the 6th age RIGHT NOW. Imagine how different this year would have been if it was dedicated instead to polishing Runescape's history rather than kicking it off to a dusty corner and building upon it's rotten, retconn-riddled foundation. I love the 6th age content, don't get me wrong. But you have to wonder how much more versatile they could've been without worrying about crossing over old storylines and creating more work for themselves down the line by contradicting old quest lore. Maybe it wouldn't have made a difference, but for such a large portion of the game to go untouched for years and years by-and-large...Meh.
