  1. Except the "deadline" for the cruise never actually ends, but the competition rate remains the same. There's nothing that gives you any "right" to that spot. Competition aside, you're making the assumption that the person hasn't tried to find other worlds and can't. You can go, "Well then he just doesn't get to chin today!" but how long does that go on for? A day, two, a week, a month? At some point you're forced to "crash" in order to meet your goal. To summarize: spot's not yours, stop complaining about it when you willingly enter a high competition area with your own weird personal guidelines.
  2. Please leave the BTS discussion for updates yet to happen. You're welcome to discuss the actual DG update in the actual update thread though. :)
  3. The comparison is inadequate. The thing in question, the park bench, isn't desirable enough to warrant competition. Try instead a situation where two people can earn say, a free cruise, if they're the last man standing. Get it?
  4. If it was your personal spot no one else would have been able to use it. Therefore, it wasn't your spot.
  5. Obviously it wasn't my spot after he stole it. Obviously it wasn't your spot at all. It was no one's "spot". It was whoever was willing to fight for it.
  6. I just took a few depleted pendants and tried using the recharge gems on them, and it didn't work. Recharge gems must only work for the new ones I guess? Or ones that haven't entirely lost their charge?
  7. [hide=Nvm]Air surge is only 5 air runes if I remember correctly so in order to mage using air spells you can use: - an air staff - an empowered air staff - a celestial surgebox (unlimited air runes) - a celestial catalytic staff (unlimited elemental runes)[/hide] E: I'm stupid, nevermind.
  8. Did this update make rings easier to switch? I feel like I'm not having as much "you need to be out of combat" trouble as before, regardless of the redbar trick. Post Eoc Staff=all the runes you need to cast cmb magic so 1 ammo bind isn't really an issue. Until wands are implemented, which will likely have better DPS but lack that elemental perk. If we're looking at the future here, then this update did not take the future expansion of dg content into consideration well enough.
  9. If everyone is dging like you did in that picture, I can see why. They have increased rates for less than 5 man/solo teams.
  10. ...Uh, you only got a 4% on the bonus rooms though. That is absolutely ravaging your exp per floor. The exp rates are matching/exceeding as promised.
  11. Thank God Jagex doesn't balance their xp rates based on the assumption that everyone plays at DGS speed. That level of speed is not such a huge gulf as you make it out to be, however, and if you were looking on how to increase your exp/hr, you could potentially reach that level. It would be a lot harder to get to that level of skill on your own, though you can definitely improve yourself by reading those guides all the same. While they shouldn't balance them for the "elite", the goals he cited were quite obtainable to the average person with a bit of knowledge and experience. IDK why the research DGS did is now getting a bad attitude towards it. Disagreeing with the changes they made to solo'ing does not mean they're necessarily opposed to the EXP rate itself. The issue tends to be more in preserving the intended "benefit" of doing 5:5 teams.
  12. See, this is why I didn't wait until the last minute to get 99 range.
  13. The betas I've played more than a couple of hours were probably because they were the only way I could access the game otherwise. I had no reason to keep playing a separate beta, especially given how frustratingly slow any progress or communication trickled out when compared to, say, Minecraft.
  14. They showed a lot of things off using the action bar. It doesn't mean they won't slow down the actions later on.
  15. I was talking to Urza, but thanks for calling most of my post spam just becausee of the image despite the fact that it made a valid point about the relationship between "difficulty" (survivability) and time spent. *facepalm* As for your second point, it's completely irrelevant. I was talking about those in charge of balancing and testing exp rates.
  16. Does the day you dislike an update give me free reign to call you a whiner, short-sighted, jagex-bashing, etc? Let me know, I'll be ready with party poppers and streamers for that day. It will probably coincide on the same day that floor selling prices fall below 5mil/hr (aka QBD/kilning/etc). You in "Hex Dungers" or something like that, right? Honestly if DG was done where everyone was clustered around the GT, moving it from room-to-room, it's a lot easier than solo'ing. People don't do that though because it results in 40min+ floors and honestly... I'd love to know how they got experienced enough to do an upwards of 4 med solos per hr yet haven't had the ability to reach that conclusion in regards to team floors. Maybe all they do is solo. >_>'
  17. The way I see it, everyone and their mother already invested in dbones and are still sitting on them in hopes they'd rise with the yet-to-be-fully-released botwatch. By the time things level out again from people dumping these surplus supplies, bots will be running -- just in greater number to make up for the profit lost due to low survivability.
  18. Warrior gives more crit than a berserker, should try to see if you can grab one and imbue it.
  19. Small issues as a group only remain small in importance if there aren't a lot of them.
  20. They're doing another EoC livestream on November 11th, 21:00GMT. They don't know who exactly will be on the panel, but it will be members of the EoC team.
  21. Been there for a long time before this update. You'll likely lose that temptation soon when you see the metric [bleep]-ton of primal sets out there.
  22. You'll get the cape back, but not the key. You'd have to rebuy it, despite the fact you had 0 way of knowing you couldn't re-obtain the comp cape when using it on the keepsake box.
  23. Whole part of the prestige of the item is doing the work to wear them, whether that is a GP restriction or a level one. They don't want to remove the reasons for people to play the game. It makes every bit of sense to maintain the level requirements. It's the same sort of reason why you can't put lent items in the Keepsake box--you didn't earn them.
