In regards to the BTS video, I wonder what exactly is this "forbidden knowledge" that Ariane tried to use that got her kicked out of the tower. Think it's in any way related to the RC Guild woman's search for the Eye of Saradomin/Stone of Jas?

...*facepalm* And this is why people reach strange/desperate conclusions. What does Jagex exactly expect to have happen? Instead how many hours do they spend filming bts videos, when a simple [bleep]ing tweet with a screencap a la Jeb/Dinnerbone from Minecraft would accomplish the same thing and get far more attention, or published in dev blogs for easy access. It would leave their community more informed, less desperate for information, and overall more satisfied with their experience for virtually no cost to them. FFS. I love the game so much, but their communication is shit and they do not make it easy. It's like they intentionally take the hard/stupid way out if only to "look" as professional as a big-name MMORPG like WoW. EDIT: Thank you for letting me know, Grand. I just needed to rant there. And then...next week, selling loyalty points! Nah. I'm just really bitter that it takes so long to get points. I don't even remember what I got last but I only have 17k points. In high competition areas where there is a low-availability on worlds? Yes. Yes that sums the thread up quite well. I'm glad you understand that, even if you don't agree with it. You will find that many people don't agree with crashing actually...but if you really don't like that system take it up with Jagex, not us. Or go play Diablo/some other non-mmorpg.

...Being there before him does not grant you the "right" to that spot. They can be courteous and hop again, but it's really not that easy to find an empty world, especially now. That is "basic logic." Yet despite others telling you that your rates won't go down, you refuse to deal with it and just let him stay there out of your own weird personal guidelines -- which do not adhere to "basic logic." And yes, you are making the assumption that the other player is crashing you out of spite, rather than out of necessity, because you are demonizing them for their behavior in a system that encourages it. Can I understand your frustration? Sure can. I didn't like people sharing my spot either. I would hop for ages to get a spot to myself whenever I chinned. I primarily trained range via chinning from level 85 onwards and only recently got 99 range. Want to know the difference between you and me? I didn't post about it just to [bleep] and moan because I can understand that if the circumstances were right, I'd do the same thing out of necessity. My advice to you is simmer down and get back to training instead of throwing a hissy fit. You're looking more the fool than any crasher ever had.

Except the "deadline" for the cruise never actually ends, but the competition rate remains the same. There's nothing that gives you any "right" to that spot. Competition aside, you're making the assumption that the person hasn't tried to find other worlds and can't. You can go, "Well then he just doesn't get to chin today!" but how long does that go on for? A day, two, a week, a month? At some point you're forced to "crash" in order to meet your goal. To summarize: spot's not yours, stop complaining about it when you willingly enter a high competition area with your own weird personal guidelines.

The comparison is inadequate. The thing in question, the park bench, isn't desirable enough to warrant competition. Try instead a situation where two people can earn say, a free cruise, if they're the last man standing. Get it?

If it was your personal spot no one else would have been able to use it. Therefore, it wasn't your spot.

I just took a few depleted pendants and tried using the recharge gems on them, and it didn't work. Recharge gems must only work for the new ones I guess? Or ones that haven't entirely lost their charge?

Did this update make rings easier to switch? I feel like I'm not having as much "you need to be out of combat" trouble as before, regardless of the redbar trick. Post Eoc Staff=all the runes you need to cast cmb magic so 1 ammo bind isn't really an issue. Until wands are implemented, which will likely have better DPS but lack that elemental perk. If we're looking at the future here, then this update did not take the future expansion of dg content into consideration well enough.

If everyone is dging like you did in that picture, I can see why. They have increased rates for less than 5 man/solo teams.

...Uh, you only got a 4% on the bonus rooms though. That is absolutely ravaging your exp per floor. The exp rates are matching/exceeding as promised.

Thank God Jagex doesn't balance their xp rates based on the assumption that everyone plays at DGS speed. That level of speed is not such a huge gulf as you make it out to be, however, and if you were looking on how to increase your exp/hr, you could potentially reach that level. It would be a lot harder to get to that level of skill on your own, though you can definitely improve yourself by reading those guides all the same. While they shouldn't balance them for the "elite", the goals he cited were quite obtainable to the average person with a bit of knowledge and experience. IDK why the research DGS did is now getting a bad attitude towards it. Disagreeing with the changes they made to solo'ing does not mean they're necessarily opposed to the EXP rate itself. The issue tends to be more in preserving the intended "benefit" of doing 5:5 teams.

See, this is why I didn't wait until the last minute to get 99 range.
