We try very hard to keep our guidelines up with the times, but sometimes we need a little help. Previously, our forum rules forbade naming other players in a negative light. This was done in effort to protect users from false accusations and having circular fights based on hearsay on the forums. This rule was old, dating back to a time when topics like this were a lot more common. Recently though, it was highlighted just poorly this rule has aged over time when a forum member tried to show a video of a new dueling glitch and by our previous version of the rule, it had to be removed. We try our best to serve our community, and part of the way we do this is by keeping our rules current and reasonable. Unfortunately some things tend to slip through over time. As promised though this rule was revised to hopefully allow more freedom of discussion. Rest assured though we are always open to feedback -- on this rule and any others. We encourage you guys to post if you have any! The current revised Naming Names rules read as follows: We still had a very real concern about damaging user reputation; yet we wanted to allow people to show their vids/pictures to warn players or discuss serious/recent events that affect the community. The above is a compromise of the two. Ideally what this will prevent are still any "he scammed, she scammed" that might occur, yet still allow users the freedom to discuss the botting epidemic/EoC glitches/etc provided they make the effort to encourage discussion. (And while we always offered the ability to contact the administration if you disagreed with a post removal, or if someone is harassing you, now it's in writing to help spread awareness.) As mentioned previously, we are definitely open to feedback. We don't want to be more restrictive than what you would find on YT, reddit, or the RSOF...but we are a fansite that aims to promote mature discussion, too! Hopefully you'll find this more up-with-the-times to allow a better experience here on the forums. :) -The moderating team

All I hear is confirmation that they left his account to find more mules/more involved parties...but they automated it and their system sucks still, which is why his friends got hit too after his account was unlocked. I don't like the idea that a really wonderful quest was shoehorned into yet another "look at me, this update is awesome!" method for validating the EoC. You don't need to do that, Jagex, the update speaks for itself without tampering with the integrity of our precious quests ;_;

Actually sir, if you look closely, as the set up changes from Melee to Magic, you'll notice that the legs change. Not the new void, sonny jim. I think what he's referring to is the replacement to the void (ehuehuehu) that was left by Elite/Regular void's "rebalancing" sonny jim

Oh, I know the premise of anything obsidian in combat is kind of stupid, but it's one of those conditions of their reality they've set. I don't like it any more than I like being able to eat an entire shark (etc etc) at once but that's what they've laid out. It's just weird when they contradict that set.

No, it's just that...even though Runescape doesn't often adhere to logical mechanics, we still have structures based on the reality they've created. And you've always crafted glass, and smelted metal. Not the other way around. It just doesn't make sense to me :< And I realize I'm just getting worked up over something so stupid. It won't affect my enjoyment of the quest. I mainly posted to see if anyone else finds this so strange. @_@

Anyone else irritated by the fact that you smith volcanic glass into armor sets? Seriously, I can't get over how stupid that is.
