The TokHaar still view the TzHaar as something sordid and abhorrent however. -Hok speaks with such scorn about how the TzHaar had adapted to living away from the Kiln, calling the birthing process filthy and disdaining the Tokkul-trapped remains when they die, rather than rejoining the group as the Elder Gods intended. The TzHaar aren't just rebels, they're abominations to them. So what I have a hard time getting is...why just leave it at that? Overall we didn't get much of a hint to any sequel, and the fact that the story is sort of just being "left at that" with nothing hinting towards more is very disappointing. Overall a small dent in my otherwise good experience with the quest.

Want to make it a signature bet? They got to do it in the election thread so I don't see why we can't do it with runescape. If any of us get it right, they can make the participants use a signature of their choice for a week. :lol:

I think you're both half right and it will be Black Knight Fortress and Recruitment Drive, since they're the beginnings of the White Knight/Black Knight storyline. It fits the pattern better: one f2p quest and one p2p quest. Knight's sword and Black Knight Fortress are both f2p and aren't really related to each other story-wise. Recruitment Drive is also the p2p sequel to Black Knight Fortress.

When you say "I've been playing" that means you're still currently playing, right? Aren't you 'putting up' with it too? And if you are, why are you playing a game you don't think it's good? Hopefully you'll understand my confusion, you seem to contradict yourself here greatly.

Tokkul were the remains of dead TzHaar I thought. I didn't know they were related at all to the birthing process? If memories are passed from individual tzhaar to hatchling, how is it that the one who birthed the egg can give its memories via tokkul when it's very much alive? tldr: what am i not understanding from the lore?

I wasn't really happy to this "epic conclusion" and I really hope this doesn't go the way of the Slug Menace. (great build-up, shitty ending) TokHaar love to fight, but they would still get their fighting if they attacked the TzHaar. They'd most certainly fight the JalYt (the player) who defended the city, so it still accomplishes their goals. Also, the temperature of the city caused the Ga'al? When we were bathing it in TzHaar and human fire magicks? It's really improbable. While I can enjoy it, it's hard to overlook these "huh" sort of things in a Grandmaster level quest. It's not like the novice-level quests of Rune Memories, when you have no idea why Ariane's teacher wouldn't just blow up the tower himself, but you can shrug it off because individuals are stupid. The TokHaar definitively wanted the destruction or assimilation of the TzHaar, and could have done so by force. Even if they were playing "the long game" there are still some things that just don't make sense. Overall I liked the quest, I think the fight cauldron was really fun and inventive. Definitely a good crash course for learning the new combat system. But the epic conclusion we faced here left something to be desired that we didn't quite feel with The Elder Kiln quest. There are conflicting reports on her race, then. Her race is actually listed separately as a Siren on the official RS wiki and it was created by Mod Michelle. Mind you the lore also calls Remora step-sister when talking about the other mermaids. Still don't think they would make mermaid & siren the same race, otherwise why wouldn't it be listed as mermaid in Remora's entry? She might be a halfbreed I guess. Or an error with the lore. Wouldn't be the first retcon they did, and this article stub was made after the lore entry.

I imagine boss hunters wouldn't be too happy if they did that, though. Kind of feel like saying "tough shit" to that tbh, and I'm sure I'll be ferociously devoured by any fan of PVM. But I can't help but thinking that maybe a little less of the product and a little more competition will help the pricing of boss-obtained items. The best bost monsters are still instanced right now (QBD, Kiln, etc) so it's not like the high end PVM'er is getting screwed over here.

We already know what Sirens look like. [hide=Remember Remora?][/hide] I say they're almost identical from their physical traits. It's a siren. (Mermaids and Sirens aren't very similar at all btw. The only common thread between them is the habitat and the female appearance--or half appearance in the case of mermaids. And the fact that they're mythological.)

I'm just kind of shocked they're not removing some members worlds. Kind of thought they should too. F2P might not have over 300+ on a lot of servers at any given time but there sure as are a heck of a lot of servers with less than 600 people on at any time out of 2000.

Which one is the third room? Is that the one with the Yt-MejKot? If so, it won't heal itself if you safespot it. Probably a bug though.

If you tried it with a BOB, it would tell you it can't access it's storage here either. The absolute best aspect of this quest. You could do this at ANY point while chasing Ga'al-Xox. It cut down on hassle tremendously and cut out an enormous amount of tedium. They deserve some serious kudos for this.

No, just the one at the beginning. I don't know what triggers it, but you can have more than one TokHaar-Tok-Xil before moving onto the Champions, just as you can have two champions spawn for you before moving onto the Xil and Mej waves. TokHaar-Xil and TokHaar-Mej can start to spawn after the Tok-Xil and Champions are dead, too.

We try very hard to keep our guidelines up with the times, but sometimes we need a little help. Previously, our forum rules forbade naming other players in a negative light. This was done in effort to protect users from false accusations and having circular fights based on hearsay on the forums. This rule was old, dating back to a time when topics like this were a lot more common. Recently though, it was highlighted just poorly this rule has aged over time when a forum member tried to show a video of a new dueling glitch and by our previous version of the rule, it had to be removed. We try our best to serve our community, and part of the way we do this is by keeping our rules current and reasonable. Unfortunately some things tend to slip through over time. As promised though this rule was revised to hopefully allow more freedom of discussion. Rest assured though we are always open to feedback -- on this rule and any others. We encourage you guys to post if you have any! The current revised Naming Names rules read as follows: We still had a very real concern about damaging user reputation; yet we wanted to allow people to show their vids/pictures to warn players or discuss serious/recent events that affect the community. The above is a compromise of the two. Ideally what this will prevent are still any "he scammed, she scammed" that might occur, yet still allow users the freedom to discuss the botting epidemic/EoC glitches/etc provided they make the effort to encourage discussion. (And while we always offered the ability to contact the administration if you disagreed with a post removal, or if someone is harassing you, now it's in writing to help spread awareness.)
