  1. Average? Probably between 2-15mil. Wealth is so concentrated on the upper levels of players, they probably greatly skew the average.
  2. Obviously. Doesn't mean they shouldn't try reducing it, this is as bad as it's been in a while.
  3. I'm at the runespan like many others are chasing 90 runecrafting. A runesphere spawned pretty close to me, and I started to siphon it until I had to sign off for a second. I come back, the sphere is still there, huzzah! But instead I get this message: ...despite being nowhere near the 1k dust limit for that day, despite the fact that I was the first to start breaking it down, despite still helping break it down to the core so the newcomers can exchange it faster. I should just [bleep] off and leave them to it, come back when its done. That's what this restriction encourages. I'm fairly certain that's not what the runesphere was created for. So I suggest removing this arbitrary limit and letting people siphon freely until they hit that 1k dust limit. Thanks for reading.
  4. Well good news for you, Jer, is that you can get a second siren mission (which indicates that failures might not block you from them entirely) later on. I got my second siren mission...and failed it. >_>' But seriously, these past few days I've failed over 40% of my missions in the skull region. It's so bad that I've switched my focus back to the Arc region just to try to get back some of the chimes/bamboo I lost on ship repairs.
  5. Wilderness is still in the hands of clans if they wanted to take it despite the flaws of the combat system. Fact is it's a dying community filled with people who were just looking for reasons to quit. Negativity does not foster communities, it strangles them to death. That's what we all get for allowing DDoSing, hacking, etc to become all that really matters in the end. It's a sad day when the RSOF has a more bustling clan community than fansite clans do. They can balance the wildy all they want and completely perfect the combat system, and the fansite clan community will still kill itself inevitably. I would've thought you'd see that already since you joined WG, given Lordship's constant endeavors to the community that fell on deaf ears. By the time anyone started to crusade against what we did to ourselves, it was already too late. There is no "winning back" the clan community at this point.
  6. http://tv.msnbc.com/2012/12/14/nbc-news-26-dead-in-newtown-ct-elementary-school-shooting/ The president had a phone conversation with Connecticut Gov. Dan Malloy and FBI Director Robert Mueller Friday afternoon to update information and offer his condolences, NBC News reported. Obama ordered that flags be flown at half-staff Friday afternoon in honor of the victims.
  7. I definitely herped when I should've derped. Had a scroll mission from The Missionary -- but I neglected to realize ALL of my day's special voyages were from the missionary. So, like a herp I chose to continue his storyline, despite others here on the topic cautioning against it. I just completely forgot. I cannot contain my rage right now.
  8. I'll take this as a rough translation as: But I agree, it is pretty fun. I just wish it wasn't restricted ;_;
  9. Well, that's a relief. Don't mind being wrong in that case
  10. Huh, what? No o_O If you go out with super high combat but your mutiny is piss poor, even if you're 100% you could still have a minor mutiny on your ship, is what I mean (as an example) That's why some people are still failing even though they have 100% Are you serious???? Now I'm scared lol. It's the only explanation I can think of. I'm not 100% sure yet because...well, the stuff's only been out for 2 days lol. But I think this might be the reasons for it, otherwise we shouldn't be able to fail at 100%.

  12. Everyone learns differently, but if reading is your strong point, it was more than adequate on explaining how different ratings affect your success rates. The only thing I think it failed on was explaining how even though your voyages depend on a certain trait/combination of traits, that morality/seafaring still affect your ability to return with your goal accomplished & treasure in-hand. What aren't you understanding about PoP?
  13. You totally didn't break up just because of "bad timing." Just saying.
  14. From what I've noticed, my first mate with solidarity boosts the ratings for the entire voyage. I'm not sure how much, or how the multiplier works exactly. I'd check but my ships are still out to sea.
  15. Wouldn't it be better if you were dead-set on monogamous marriage to live together before that point so you know if you can make it through, rather than potentially going into something and ending in a messy divorce, prenup or not?
  16. Can't you speak with The Navigator to select what regions you're focusing on?
  17. It's pretty easy to see who quotes who with skype too, pretty much in the same way that our forum software works. Forums are universal, but I'm just saying you'd probably find a skype chat group to give you the functionality you're looking for (instant communication within reason/timezone limitations) without giving up what you are used to here (quoting, removing messages, setting topics, etc). You can actually just highlight what you want to quote and ctrl+v to automatically paste formatted, and you can right click paste plain-text if you don't want formatting -- which is pretty similar to our quote and multiquote system. (Hell, it's even more functional since you don't have to cut out parts of other people's quotes if you only want to address one line) Just saying it will probably suit your needs better than IRC or a steam group will. I still think our forums are better communication as well, but it's easier for people to run messenger programs like irc or skype on their phones or in the background than it is with steam or checking an entirely different forum altogether. I'll go back to lurking now, don't mind me. ^^
  18. Skype logs conversations, which is less of a hassle than reading up the logs from Logbot. I know many RS groups use it like the unofficial HYT chat, EoE, DGS, even the tipit staff use it. It's pretty user-friendly.
  19. I think she might have meant in regards to selling gold, since that was the question proposed by G550
  20. He's made an offer and people are free to refuse it -- as I recommend they do, and they almost certainly will without any urging to do so. There is no need to stir up trouble, as it drives this further and further off topic and bumps it unnecessarily, prolonging how long it will be before the thread dies.
  21. Because it's not begging. If you have any issues with it you can PM me or an administrator.
  22. The GE price for them is well over that so I would highly recommend no one sell at that price unless it's understood as a gift. (no offense just giving information :P)
  23. Moved to Help and Advice since this isn't comprehensive enough to be considered a guide and I don't think you made it. :P
  24. The ability to teleport to the abyss was possible because of the beam. But there was nothing within the Abyss to anchor their teleport spells to in order to get back to the overworld. The portal within the abyss might have been their answer -- another connection to another area of the abyss to bypass the distance needed to reach the rune altars. And because it seems like their magic was less refined than their Mage Guild counterparts, the portal could've been unstable, hence the Apprentice's need for constant vigilance. ...Or maybe I have it back asswards and it's the portal within the abyss that anchors them & allows them to teleport INTO the abyss, and the portal beam in Gielnor allows them to teleport OUT of the abyss as a reverse of what people use to teleport in the overworld. I'm not sure exactly which it is, but I'm fairly confident it's one of those answers. Actually I think it might be the second one. Ehh.
