We found a canoe!!! Now what?
I agree with that. If you have no use for it, give it someone who does. :wall: Primadog, you play Runescape too much! menot, you find me strings that big and I will play you a fantastic song, maybe even the best song in the wrodl (Tenacious D FTW!). Ragen, that sounds pretty good actually! I could take it to Holme Pierrepont (National Water soirts centre, it's about 5 minutes drove from my house) and borrom their barrels. Hmm, I wonder if they would let us take it down their White water rapids course!?

We found a canoe!!! Now what?
 No imagination Sounds good, but the canoe is 3 metres long and the pond is only about 10 metres wide :P I know what you mean though, good idea. That, sir, is an awesome idea!!! We have a few big hills round us, just gotta wait for some snow!

We found a canoe!!! Now what?
Lol, we have actually considered both of those. The general feeling was we would rather have fun with it than have money. I also go to a Sea Scout group, and I know that they would have no use for it, as those are not the kind of canoes they are interested in, we use kayaks at scouts. EDIT: A motor sounds wicked, but when you consider that it is easier to tip this thing up than it is to one foot in front of the other, and also when you consider that the thing is over 3 metrs long, it would have a turning circle of at least 100 metres, this is an absurd idea! Getting hold a motor would be no problem, I can contact the boat lifeguard club I go to, they have a few spare old ones lying about, but for the other reasons mentioned, this would not work.

We found a canoe!!! Now what?
OK, this may sound random, but bear with me... I was walking home today with a friend, and on the way home, we walk past a recycling tip, where people take all their old junk to get mashed up and made into something else. Well anyway, we see these 3 guys and a woman come out, wearingtheir hi-vis jackets and trousers and whatever, and they are carrying a canoe, one of the racing type ones. We thought 'What the hell!?' and decided to follow them to see what they were doing. We realised that they must be taking it to the nearby pond, and indeed they were. When they got there, they put it in the water, which is filled with duckweed and all sorts of nasty stuff, and checked it floated. It did, and it was water-tight, so one of the guys tryed to sit in it. Now, I don't know if you have ever been in a proper rowing boat, the racing type, but these kind of canoes, I know from experience, are almost unstable as rowing boats are. Needless to say, he tipped it straight over. This is the guy half in, half out of the water: Once the guys from the skip had finished playing around, they turned to us and asked if we wanted a go. Knowing how unstable those things are, and not having a great deal of experience in them, I politely refused and so did my mate. They said 'Well, do you want it then?' Being pretty surprised, we said, 'Er, no thanks', so they pushed it out into the middle of the pond and walked off! Pretty incredible to be honest, these guys who work for the council to recycle rubbish and make the environment healthier, had just ditched their own rubbish in the local pond. Morons. Anyhow, me and my mate changed our minds, we wanted that canoe, if it was the last thing we got! I went home and fetched a rope and a big bottle, and when I got back a few more mates had walked past and wer waiting there. We filled the bottle with water, tied the rope to it and threw it into the cockpit of the boat, and pulled it in. Ingenious! After carrying it home, we needed somewhere to put it. I figured that seeing as though my house was closest, it would do best there. The one proble was that my Mum would castrate me and feed me my own manhood for tea that night if I walked through the door with a huge canoe. However, I knew that she was going out to take my sister to a Flute lesson, so I waited until she had gone out, and sneaked the canoe round theback and down the side of the house, the one part of the house she never goes. we stood it up against the wall and it is still there now. I knew my Dad would find it as he goes in the shed a lot, so I took him out and showed it to him earlier tonight, and he thought it was hilarious! I have to admit, standing on the end, the thing is obnoxiously large! It is dark at the moment, but I will take a photo of it tomorrow and post it. Anyhow, it is still there at the moment, I am praying that my Mum doesn't find it. The thing I want to know is this: What do you think we should do with it!? We went to all that trouble to get it, and it is in pretty good condition, the rudder needs reconnecting and a lick of paint wouldn't go amiss, but other than that it is a perfectly good working racing canoe. Seeing as though none of us canoe, we are a bit stuck for ideas. I came up with the idea of putting two outriggers on the side, hoisting a huge sail in the middle of it and turning it into an enormous radio control sailing boat, but the cost of the components you would need to do that would be ridiculous. So at the minute, we have a huge 3 metre long canoe sitting against the side of my house, and nothing to do with it! Any ideas!? Let your imagination run free!

First hit in dueling?
Do you mean actually hit for damage, or hit at all?

Would u rather
Trust me, its a good feeling. I'm a lifeguard, had to hoik a kid out of the water before. Didn't necessarily save her life, but it felt good, right up until the point where the kids parent came and shouted at me for not diving in the pool  Clearly she knows how to do my job better than me  Oh, the gratitude of some people. That ones a toughie though, I think I would rather have RS with dial-up, seeing as though I only really play Runescape on the internet, I don't really do much else so there would be no point in having t3. WYR save the life of a friend that didn't thank you for saving them, or save the life of a stranger, who was eternally grateful?

MiniClip?
Me too, I was a miniclip noob, one of the first. According to the old schoolers, we wrecked Runescape, but if it weren't for Miniclip, RS would still be a relatively unkown game, with a limited fan base, and limited funds, as opposed to the major globally known game it is now

Ive stumble across an impossible eqaution
3rd line you have BB-BB = 2BB-2BB is 0=0 you then multiply both sides by 0 (B-B) so the next line should also read 0=0 :-) Lol, correct. Its actually the second line, BB-BB=BB-BB. If you convert that to numbers, so B = 2, you have (4-4)=(4-4)=0. =D>

Ive stumble across an impossible eqaution
Take it back to the very beginning: A=B Everything on from here is void, as you could substitute in B for every A. However, something else slightly odd happens when you do this :P : BB=BB BB-BB=BB-BB B(B-B)=(B-B)(B-B) B=(B-B) If B=2, this equation now reads 2=2-2=0 2 quite clearly does not equal 0! See if you can spot the bit where it goes twisted.

Did you say free con AND smithing xp?! Version 1.3 CLEARER!!
Alternatively you could gather 448,000 normal planks from respawns, mine 30,000 iron ores and smith them all into nails, and make 224,000 crude wooden chairs to get to level 99... Nice guide though, I probably won't ever use it myself as I'm not a great fan of construction any more, I don't have enough money to make this efficient!

High alching accidents :/
Never really got into high alching much, but when I first started, one of my real life mates said 'Oh wow, you canlow alch as well now. You should try it, it turns stuff to gold'. I thought, 'Hey, this is awesome, I can turn my addy plate into a gilded plate, I'm rich!' Never lived that one down

Ok, another unanswerable question
Thats clever, considering the universe is only 13 billion years old... Way to state the obvious =D> If we couldn't see it, we wouldn't call it the visible spectrum. Visible light is just a fraction of the electromagnetic spectrum. The red end of your visible spectrum has a wavelength of around 700 billionths of a metre, while the blue end is around 400 billionths of a metre from peak to peak. Human eyes can actually only respond to three different wavelengths of light, Blue, green and red. If yellow light falls on our eyes, the wavelength stimulates both the Green and the Red receptors a little each, and thus we see yellow light. The colour we see them as is simply our perception, and it is how we detect them. Things like Radio waves, X-rays, gamma-rays and the like are all on the electromagnetic spectrum. If we had organs that could detect them, then they might appear to have a colour. Colours are simply how we tell one wavelength from another, within our visible spectrum. Now, I have said before the 'Human visible spectrum'. This is because some animals can see wavelengths that we cannot. For example, Boa constrictors can sense Infrared light. We can to some extent, but we detect it as heat, which is not exactly an efficient of descript way of percieving it. However, Constrictors can see infrared, so if you were to put a Boa Constrictor in a room that was completely dark, but had say, a burglar alarm motion sensor in it, the snake would be able to 'see' its way around. In the same way, Birds and bees can 'see' ultraviolet light, we cannot. Many flowers have ultraviolet patterns on them, which bees can see, and so that is how bees know which flowers to go to. My point in this post is to show that there is no way to explain to someone what light or colour is if they were born blind. If you can find a way to explain to someone what ultraviolet 'looks' like, then you can find a way to explain to a blind person what a colour is. However, to a blind person, they do not have a visible Spectrum, and they cannot detect any part of the electromagnetic spectrum at all, so it is impossible to do this. If you read this far, congrats, and thanks! I hope I made some of you think a little bit :P

Sept. 11th Remembrance V (Details Inside)
^^ What he said. This is always the problem with holding memorials though, the question is left to stand as to why it doesn't happen for other events. I know you mentioned this in your original post, but still. I don't remember ever seeing a Holocaust memorial event, and considering over 6 million people were killed in the holocaust, you would think that someone would think to do it. It's all to do with current affairs, people seem to be more affected by things that have happenned reently, but forget that whilst remembering the happenings of events such as 9/11 is all well and good, there are really no lssons to be learnt from it. There is a lot to be learnt from events like the Holocaust. I think it's nice that people want to respect the dead and hold a remembrance service for them, but I don' think it's necessary to do it in game. It would be much better to do it in real life. Just my views, I'm prepared for the flaming I'm going to get

Ive stumble across an impossible eqaution
Actually, thats not true. Some of maths is to do with finding unsolvable algorithms. Cryptology for example, is always striving after an 'unsolvable' encryption method, an algorithm that makes the text appear completely random, and cannot possibly be solved by an outsider. Such an algorithm may employ rotating cleartext functions. And yes, I have been reading too much of 'Digital Fortress'

America needs to switch to the metric system, etc...
Only partially correct. Scientists don't use exclusively metric, they use base units. There are only 7 different base units, Length (metres), Time,(seconds), mass (kg) current (Ampere), thermodynamic temperature (Kelvin), amount of material (Moles) and luminosity intensity (candela). As you can see, Kelvin replaces the more commonly known Celsius. All of these with the exception of metres have a distinct definition, and hence other units such as Joules, Farads, becquerels and the like are derived from these. The reason you dont use feet in place of metres, or punds instead of Kg, is that to do this would mean that you have to alter the definitions of the other base units for the equations to work. This would be an absurd thing to do, and a right pain in the rear, so Yanks use the standard scintific base units. Little bit of useless info for yer all! I'm not going to get drawn into the whole 'Americans are stupid', ''No they're not!' thing, but I have to say this; Any Brit who is arguing that the Americans are non conformists, remember who is one of the only countries in the world to drive on the left? Also the only other countries that drive on the left, do so because they are/were British Colonies...

early running advice
Getting up in the morning to go for a run is all about personal strength and willpower. As other people have said, set yourself a goal, a deadline a reason, and find yourself a motive to get up. The goal can be anything from wanting to lose half a stone, completing the run within 20 minutes, whatever, but it has to be SMART (Specific, Manageable, Assessable, Realistic, Time-Specific) The deadline part is pretty simple, around 3 months is good, but it depends on what your goal is. The motive is reasonably easy to find. You need a motive to get out of bed. If your goal is to lose weight, keep a weight chart, or a picture of yourself to remind you. If your target is to complete the run in a set time, keep charts of that. However, the motive I find helps most in getting me up for a run in the morning is pretty shallow - find a route to run along where you pass a nice girl! Really shallow I know, but it seriously works! Anyhow, good luck in achieving whatever your goal is.

In remembrance of Steve Irwin
True, but in the end something was going to get him. It's like any death, there are common killers like alcohol, drugs, heart disease etc. but then there are many people that die from 'rare' disorders or forms of death. There are a lot of forms of 'rare' deaths, but collectively they make up a significant percentage of deaths. My bet would have been that a crocodile would get him, but it looks like he fell into the 'rare' category. Anyhows, his father released a statement today, does anyone have a video link to it?
