Smuggling Dungeoneering Items
I don't know where to put this and I don't think it is 'new-topic-material', so I'll just put it here. :-P This morning w117 crashed, as many of you know as the unofficial dungeoneering world. As a result of this, everyone playing dungeoneering at that time lost their bound items. (yes, primal plates, blood necklaces, etc) + lost the xp from +- the last hour. End result for me: I am stil lvl 62 dungeoneering (yes I am logged out and no this is not a lie) allthough my adventurer's log says I'm lvl 63. +-35k dungeoneering xp lost. I bought the scroll of life before entering the dungeon when the world crashed. Bye 10k tokens. EDIT: This is in my adventurers log too. Lol. And goodbye promethium spear(++) and promethium plate. I know this is more of a rant, but needed to write it off my mind... :P The only reply we had so far on recent updates is: 'what is the problem with items bound?' from 3 hours ago. Until then, nothing... :???:

26-May-2010 - RuneScape Classic Temporarily Re-opening
That was my goal too when it reopened last time. :^_^: For cash I started training herblore. I saw people making tons with super sets, rsof was filled with threads of people selling herblore supplies. Gathered my own herbs, my own vials and bought secondaries from others. (at least the ones I could not buy myself) -> breakeven After a week or two, they limited the numbers of servers. Result -> all herblore shops were constantly bought out. No worries I thought, I'll come back in a month when it gets less crowded. Everyone had left the game and secondaries weren't sold anymore... Unless you're a 100% diy'er, don't get your hopes up. :P

09-Jun-2010 - Court Cases
Hmg no new gwd update b uslesfgh122!!2 Anything's better then a wig and 2k def exp  :/ there is more than one case.... It is useless, but seems like alot fun to do. More like a distraction from everyday RS. Some cool outfit with the following cases and I consider this a good update. (although I thought it would be kinda lame  )

09-Jun-2010 - Court Cases
They probably meant to say "digging up" instead of "chopping down" trees. They mean chopping down trees when you pay the farmer to chop it for you.

"Activities and Distractions & Diversions * Fixed a problem with salmon being caught in Fish Flingers." "Miscellaneous * The scroll of life Dungeoneering reward will now work when chopping down trees grown in your Farming patches." I call this one... :^_^:

Smuggling Dungeoneering Items
Discussing this issue is bad... Mmmkay... Is this a new rule then? Otherwise an article from tip.it times needs to be deleted too: http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?times=433 Numerous bugs and abuses have been explained on these forums and I never felt the urge to exploit them. It is on the other hand alot of fun reading about them.

falconry botters
They made a decision and now they need to stick with it. Maybe a change in how they divide their efforts. The whole 'community'-thing Jagex is promoting atm is not necessary and a waste of time and money if you ask me. If there are good, new content updates, clans will thrive around those. Penguin ccs/stealing creation ccs/fish flingers cc/... Zero money spent on 'community' but a very huge boost to it. There were figures shown on these fora about RS-profits from last year, when you look at the profit margin taken on one year,I think RS has alot of potential left. @ ring_world The people I know who botted on RS wanted either the prestige that comes with the 99-cape and/or the money. Instant cash, no effort. Making money in an online game is 'fun' for some, they take away that fun partially for others. And if you say they use bots to get to the 'fun part' of a skill, why don't they quit at that skill lvl but continue botting all the way to 99? <_< Alot of skills don't HAVE to be trained in order to do the rest on RS. If they haven't even completed the skills they call 'fun', your defense seems even more invalid.

falconry botters
Until they change the rules botting is unfair and Jagex should take appropriate actions. I'm on my way to 90 fishing to make dungeoneering easier. Do I like fishing on RS? No. Do I want others to get 99 fishing with no effort, against the rules? Hell no! It is their game and they make up the rules, but until they are changed, I would like them to obey their own principles. Like said, why was 'free trade' and 'wilderness' removed when you can make infinite cash by botting without being caught? He was probably trying to say that the same people who are selling these bots are the ones who tried to hack our account in the past. Transferring our banks onto other accounts and sell the spoils. Your counterargument here would probably be: "Stop crying, it is a game!" ? Bowling is a game too, if someone stole my bowling ball, they wouldn't be "stealing" it? And why do lower lvled players have a small income? Oh yes, the vast ammount of resources gathered by botters...

Can it be that hard to check the popular bot-spots? Or is the loss of membership fees more important... :-?

The death of dungeoneering?
That's like saying you're forced to wait 14 hrs for your trees to grow, or get slow exp with allotments which take ~15 min. Nobody is forcing you, you just can't expect every skill to be trained the same way. I agree with Eyrelex, even with a skill like farming you can log on for 5 minutes, check/plant your tree and log off. -> best xp possible. Even if you only have time for just one tree/herb patch, it is good xp. With dungeoneering this is not possible, you need at least 15+minutes. And this is only the case if you're ok with less xp/hour, otherwise it is 1hr+. (isn't every skill trainable in a way you can log in for 5 minutes and get decent xp? Prove I'm wrong and name one plz? :^_^: )

Post and discuss all Jagex Twitter updates here!
Didn't Jagex recently state somewhere they needed a whole week to fully test a planned update? (can't find a link, but I'm sure I read it, dev blog or something... #-o ) And now they are able to release two updates on 3 days. :o

Dungeoneering Leeching verse Dieing
 Good idea. The death penalty now is indeed ridiculous, you are punished for being a team player...

The new homepage
1. hypocrites. 2. I don't like other games advertised on RS-homepage. (this includes funorb...) 3. If this leads to thousands of new players entering RS and some of them staying, this might actually be a smart move.

27-May-10 Castle wars improvements
Woohoo! Two updates in one week! Those new outfits look pretty good imo, the highest sword looks epic. (like said, they could have made it an option to switch for those who preferred the older outfits) Makes me think how nice it would be if dungeoneering rewards were exchangeable afterwards just like castle wars rewards.

Rune crossbow, really the best?
Good job, interesting to see the results. This is only true if you are at the lowest recharge cost. It starts at 900k/bow. = 540k/hour for the first bow

Why is it that (seemingly) all higher level players....
This reminds of a week ago when I was slaying gargoyles. One other guy with slayer cape was in the room with me. I leave my coin drops on the ground unless when I see it is a big pile. That guy with slayer cape picked up every single coin I left. Was actually very suprised by that, doesn't happen very often.

The Money Cap
I also see no need to increase the cap, like stated: 99.9% of people won't ever have that problem. But wouldn't increasing the money cap counter inflation? Someone at 2.1bill HAS to buy items, otherwise he looses cash. Without this need, less items would be in the hands of hoarders. More items available for the rest of us, means a drop in price, not?

The Current Trading System.
As said, this would bring a greater incentive to hack our accounts as hackers can trade away everything on it, so no thank you... And if that goldfarmer spent 2 whole years grinding on a particular account, he probably merched himself into the billions. It takes +-5 minutes/day to merch. I don't mind the current trade limit, the limit is high/low enough for me. (if a friend needs a piece of armour/weapon, I can lend it to him/her) The only problems I see nowadays are items that can't be sold/bought with pure cash and merch scams. Won't a sell-limit (on ge and in trade) solve the problem of merch scams? A clanchat owner usually buys a merched item weeks in advance, to gradually unload his stock on his "followers" afterwards. This would not be possible anymore, or it would take weeks to dump his items, which by then probably crashed. A normal Scaper won't be hurt by this, he can sell 10k logs/4h, 2 rares/4h, 10 weapons/4h, ...

Post and discuss all Jagex Twitter updates here!
i know they said that, but im not believing it for one bit, sir. Me neither. Just because they say so, doesn't mean it is true. Also, they're developing that game since 2006 with zero income and alot of expenses. Generous investors...

1. I think you mean '<15 minutes' 2. If that is what you mean, I would like to have my dungeoneering skillcape in <15 minutes too, you should make a guide about that! (according to wiki: "a skill that was released in RuneScape on 12 April 2010" = 5 weeks ago)

12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
You just admitted in your reply that most of the skills ARE annoying... Sorry for the OT here...

12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
What the hell??? You feel obligated to train a skill to 99 or something? Something is definitely wrong there....... You truly never did an annoying thing because you like the reward in the end? (like a paycheck at the end of the month) After rereading the post you replied to, it idd sounded weird... :-P I don't understand the need to have a skill that goes to lvl120 either. Maxed out always felt like an achievement that was doable if I kept playing long enough, like others have mentioned. That feeling is gone now...

Mod Mark H reveal RuneFest item 2010
I've seen that offer on RS-forums and unless the poster isn't telling the truth, he got several for 25m each. I won't outbid you so my offer is 25m too, pm is open... *Cough*rwt*cough* :P Well, strictly speaking: 25m is an ingame item, so is the banner, no real world stuff included in this trade... :^_^: (it is a trust trade though, which is also forbidden :wall: )
