Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
Lol. I used to do that every day, and I hate attention. You must be crazily introverted. On that note, public speaking. I always feel flustered and forget what I was going to say. OT: Typing posts into TIF and then DCing and being too lazy to retype them.

Graphics Card Help, Please?
Alright, thanks. Screen resolution is 1600 by 900. Monitor is HP 2009m. Is the power output something I could change cheaply? Or am I stuck with the 250 Watts until I get a new computer?

You are such a pessimistic little [wagon] it's unbelievable. I pity you. Actually, that was just a normal question. What exactly is pessimistic about saying "What is the proof for..."? I am not familiar with the topic, I thought someone on the philosophy thread might know more than I do. There's no need to flame.

The HIGH Road
What the [bleep] am I reading ? You are on an internet forum called Tip.It. Didja have some of the "bad stuff"? I feel your pain, mannn. Or, rather, your numb, mindless "happiness". The weed/alcohol part was a response to someone saying it's hypocritical to support alcohol but not weed. The red wine part is from when Sees All said red wine has health benefits if you drink a glass a day. You could get these same health benefits by drinking a glass of grape juice, without the negative effects of alcohol.

Well written, and it flows well. I would watch out for the stretching in some places, including the "one giant wave of fear" part. I'll warn you before you start posting, Varrock Library gets about one post each month. That includes replies. It's not that nobody cares about your poetry, it's just that nobody cares about poetry. Please excuse me while I go sob quietly in a corner.

Graphics Card Help, Please?
I'm buying a graphics card so I can play Modern Warfare 2, even though I bought it almost a year ago and Black Ops will be out soon. I don't want the one listed as a requirement, as it would probably be outdated by now. So, the first question: 1. What is a good graphics card to buy, without going into the hardcore stuff? I don't have a specific price range, but I don't need anything extreme. I have a custom-built desktop ordered off the internets, and I think I could probably change the graphics card myself. It seems simple based on what I've read, but 2. Is it a good idea to install a graphics card myself, having very little experience putting together computers? Details: The desktop was ordered custom from HP online. A glass of red wine every day has time and time again shown to have numerous health benefits. [cabbage]. All of my arguments against weed are pretty much the same for alcohol, and the red wine thing is a complete myth. Yes, you get some benefits. No, they aren't exclusive or even easier to get from red wine. Ever heard of grape juice? You concentrate better while stoned because you're an addict.- Philosophy, Riddles and complete mind[bleep]s
What is the proof for the multiverse theory? It seems more like speculation by people who like to guess about things and then elaborate them to ridiculous levels of incomprehensibility.- The HIGH Road
And you've never had the "insight" so how can you even begin to judge it? [bleep] you. If you're not willing to move past your preconceptions, then you don't deserve the Truth. That goes for all of you. And you are mentally addled and emotionally dependent on the drug, as exemplified by your use of strong language in response to a post that was far from offensive.- Today...
I completely understand what you mean, or at least understand about as much as I can as a heterosexual atheist. There's nothing so devastating as hearing the people you have loved your whole life reject you. With time, and a bit of education, I'm sure she'll come to be more open to it. Did you explain to her your own religious views, and how you don't believe God condemns homosexuals?- Philosophy, Riddles and complete mind[bleep]s
Maybe he just didn't think we would notice? But you know, this IS the philosophy thread. We can question everything. :D That silly mod thought his subtleties would be overlooked in a thread that focuses so much more on largeness than on specifics. WELL WE SURE SHOWED HIM. So anyways, here's a new train of thought: Transcendentalism. Discuss.- Philosophy, Riddles and complete mind[bleep]s
Blue would be contradictory to his status as a Global Moderator. Maybe if he was a Clan Moderator it would work, but then we would just make fun of him for giving out warnings. They don't have any real power, do they? I do believe he is in self-denial about his own aggression. Quite an interesting case from the metaphysical standpoint. That's what you think - Love Y_Guy ;)- The HIGH Road
All you stoners have chemical imbalances in the brain, so your logic isn't trustworthy. You claim to have a better attention span, but you didn't read the link with all the evidence in it I posted.- Philosophy, Riddles and complete mind[bleep]s
Here's a philosophical question: Why does he choose to post in red, yet claims it is "friendly" and is only a mod? Red is an aggressive color. Mods are green - if anything, the text should be green. What has motivated this strange animal to choose red above the vastly superior and more logical green?- CountDown From 15K - COUNTDOWN FINISHED!!!!

That's an excellent place to start. Now do some research, go to the library, find some info on those. You don't have to choose, but knowing that you enjoy learning about either (or both) of them will be a huge benefit. That is assuming those are topics you enjoy, and not ideas forced on you by your parents. Hobbies don't have to be non-academic. If you love learning, then learn. Lol@Elknight. Good luck convincing the NFL to change its name. We already have an NHL, anyways.- Real life help & advice
[/hide]Get a hobby. It can be anything, really. Trial a number of different things until you find something you're interested in. That's my problem. Either I can't do something or I have done it/don't like it. Running, fitness, football, handegg (if you live in the US), piano, guitar, electric guitar, keyboard, start up photoshop, start up GIMP, try illustrator (lots of money to be made here) or make a blog? WTF is handegg? I live in the US and I've never heard of it. Do you mean American football? Because that is the strangest name for it I've ever heard. Illustrator, I'm assuming, is a program like photoshop/GIMP. Where is the money in that?- Real life help & advice
[/hide]Get a hobby. It can be anything, really. Trial a number of different things until you find something you're interested in. That's my problem. Either I can't do something or I have done it/don't like it. There must be something you enjoy. Are you interested in any of your classes? Do you take electives? Do you like music, or books, or a sport? It's not a huge problem if you go to college not knowing what career you want - most people do that. But you should at least know what area you're interested in.- Red Sea parting.
Fakeitormakeit and I talked about this, and apparently "Red Sea" is a mistranslation of "Sea of Reeds", but the location of the actual crossing was at a smaller sea north of the current "Red Sea" which was also called "Sea of Reeds". So proving that crossing the Red Sea is possible would be irrelevant because it was a different location. This all really ties into the idea that if you want to take the Bible literally, you should learn to read it in its earliest versions and languages.- Philosophy, Riddles and complete mind[bleep]s
Why not? It doesn't make any sense to limit ourselves to just scientific mind[bleep]s when there are so many others. And science and philosophy can combine together... BY YOUR POWERS COMBINED, I AM CAPTAIN PLANET Captain Planet, he's our hero. Gonna take pollution down to zero. Captain Planet, he's a zero. He ain't no better than the other heroes. I gotta say, I'm really disappointed mods don't ban people for [cabbage] like this. Countless content-less posts riddle the off topic forums nowadays and I don't see anything happening to stop it. I haven't noticed any progress to wring out the morons and it's making the quality of the whole forum deteriorate. Philosophical question: Let the idiots keep posting their mind garbage to make the forum look very active or let the people that actually have something to say share their ideas with others. WHy U sO mad, br0? The fun of tip.it is that it can be silly and serious at the same time. If you don't like the posts, they're pretty easy to look over, and it's not like they're hijacking the discussion on the thread. - The HIGH Road
