[cabbage]ty Dung Teams
Don't worry, only 30 more levels and the "pro" dungers might consider letting you join, but only if you can do key floors in under 25 minutes. If you can't, you're out. Have fun.

Fastest xp/hour solo dungeoneering
well, to get the fastest xp, in teams, people only clear rooms for guardian doors or for puzzles where you need an interface open that gets interrupted by combat, like making things from stone blocks for the statues. I'm not sure if it'd be any different for solos.

The F2P General Discussion Thread
God, it's so annoying how people don't know this. If the merc leader is in view, he will keep spawning them. All you have to do is run far enough way so you can't see him, and he stops spawning them. Of course though...people just stand at the door...thinking to themselves "Wow, he keeps spawning them...[Quits]"

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
same as rex and supreme (so 6?) You can't Soul split every attack on Prime, or on rex if prime is on you. You can Soul split 3 shots in a row, then you need to wait a turn. This is assuming you're using a crossbow on rapid, which has the same speed as magic.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
That's how it would be IF bandos attacked one speed faster. At his current speed, you can SS every hit with a rapier/whip. If you time it so one of your hits is at the same time as him, you can SS all rounds. Of course it's risky, but hey, if you get good at it, why not do it? I do DK trips using only around 4-5 brews the entire time because I've gotten to the point where I can Soul Split flash while killing all 3 kings. Supreme being the easiest of course.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
all you need is the right interval, you can guarantee he won't hit you

Recycled Pictures =o
Wait...this was moved TO the general discussion forum? Seems like something that would be moved OUT of the GD forum.

You can Soul split Bandos with a rapier ;)

Can someone please explain effigies.
You all did a great job helping answer his question with your debate of outdated information. Effigies are drops from monsters that require a random set of skills to open There are four phases to an effigy, and you get xp in which ever skill you use to open it Starved, requires a level 91 skill, 15k xp Nourished, Requires a level 93 skill, 20k xp Sated, requires a level 95 skill, 25k xp Gorged, requires a level 97 skill, 30k xp Each phase has two skill options, one of them is assistable, one of them is not. You will ALWAYS see the same skills paired up Cooking and firemaking Fletching and woodcutting Construction and Thieving Runecrafting and Summoning Crafting and agility Smithing and Mining Farming and Fishing Heblore and Hunter After you open all 4 effigy stages you will get a dragonkin lamp, which you can use on any skill you wish to get xp. The higher your skill, the more xp you get. If you are unable to open the effigy on your own, you must either keep it until you raise your levels, or find someone to assist you to open it. Effigies can be stored in your bank, but the Dragonkin lamp at the end cannot. So if you plan on using a bunch of lamps on a skill at one time at the very end, save your effigies in the Gorged stage.

ROW
they only increase the drop rate of high value (determined by alchemy coins) non-monster specific drops! (so drops you could expect on any monster) Gems don't have high alchemy values. The ROW increases the chance of drops on the rare drop table, which are items like...Gems, adamant javalins, dragon spear, dragon shield half.

skelen wyrens

Skilling in Pro DG
Oh don't worry, I have enough high level DG friends to never have to DG with people like you again. We don't need to change ourselves because we've already far surpassed people like you. Funny how that works out- you make an effort to do something the best way and you end up better at it than other people. elitism at its best worst! Does this really have a place at a public site such as tipit? Anyways I'm telling you that I think someone who can make a dungeon with random (but responsive/kind people) decently fast is more proffesional than someone who does it with a set team of people. And then suddenly leading skills & also capability to find the golden middle is important! He's not really being elitist...he's just being Honest He's gotten to a point of doing dungeons at such a rate, where w117 and 148 are no longer needed. He can just join his clan/friends and dung with them now, maintaining the same average floor time, almost always being less then 30 minutes now (or is it 20 now?). He isn't excluding you from the group, he's telling you that because he's good enough at it, he no longer needs random people. Anyone else can do the same thing. Get good a "pro" dungeoneering, and you can join the consistent 30 minute floor teams Edit: Quick question since we're on the topic of those awesome rooms with tons of monsters... Would making entangle runes be at all a Viable option for those small rooms with nothing to hide behind? You could control the meleers even after the mages/rangers have been walked through that way, they would also help control the mercenary rooms since you would only ever need to worry about the rangers then.

Skilling in Pro DG
I don't really know much about rushing, since I don't do it. The team I go with actually does things like make armor and clear rooms between GD's But just based on what I've read here from the "pro" DGers, you've basically got it all covered. The only thing I could even think to add is Making Gauntlets and boots, and those would be at the very END of the list...so chances are you'd never find that much time to do all the other acceptable skilling to get there. I think it you're stuck at a slow puzzle, have certain people do certain skilling. Have only one person making laws/cosmics for everyone, not just people making them for themselves. Have one person mining a prom rock One person farming Lyco/winter's (heck, since monsters are bound to drop these herbs anyways, this probably isn't even needed either) One person fishing if there's a salve+ spot around And of course the other person doing the puzzle. As far as pro DGing is concerned, the only skilling that is really needed is mining a prom rock for ragers, since everything else can be dropped by monsters. This is also assuming everyone is smart enough to make themselves a small pile of runes at the start. You guys can go do your pro rushes, I'll stick to my 45-60 minute skilling dungeons

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
No one is forgetting this is game....what people seem to be forgetting is this thread exists for the soul purpose of figuring out which is better. Not which is more fun to use Not which one looks the coolest Not which one most people will choose. It is to figure out which is THE BEST. Nothing is stopping them from getting a CLS, Go for it, we don't care, just don't post here saying you got it because it's better for This and That, when it's been proven it's not on this thread. A thread, which I'll say again, exists to figure out which one is better.

Smithing is ridiculous
Lol bit harsh.. considering you have never met me, found that i should recoup 1.5 mill from alching steel platebodies, which leaves me with a 1.7mill loss which i dont particuarly mind now. But seriously people syaing superheat, how do you mine 19k of mith? I would find that so boring, how do you do it? they aren't mining it.......
