Isn't that just one of the arcane amulets? Random guess is they're wearing that to show that the Pet/familiar might be F2p? But that wouldn't explain colored boots then... Idk  I'm more excited about just the floors.

+9 level mod? L0L. [/hide] Some people actually like killing monsters. Like me and the friends I Dung with. Whats the point of killing it it just makes it slower, I thought the point was to get higher exp/hour  'Cause it's fun to me :P Here's the outfight I've come up with for my herblore cape. It's a bit on the flashy side, but I kinda like it.

An Elitist's View on Crashing
... and yet there are numerous other spots one can crash and people often do -- just to be spiteful and ignorant. Pest Control is a perfect example of this -- there are a number of people who, while botting, place themselves in the landing craft in a non-designated Pest Control world, so that they don't get random events, and they can set up their auto-bots and alch-away undisturbed. Heaven forbid that they should encounter a group of people who, you know, actually want to use the boat for it's designated purpose, like -- weird I know -- actually playing the mini-game. *gasp* :ohnoes: But no -- when they encounter such groups, they merely sabotage the game until those players leave ... This kind of thing just keeps going around and around and around ... That had nothing to do with the statement you quoted (and what's with the [sic] part?), It has EVERYTHING to do with your statement -- see below. [sic] means you made a grammatical error: "There *IS* only two skills ..." should read, "There ARE only ..." .. and therefore you missed a perfectly made point. It's a CYCLE. Someone crashes someone who crashes someone who crashes someone. Eventually, you end up with someone who decides to raise his combat to "elite" status by alching in a boat at Pest Control and, for the sake of being spiteful because he's been crashed all the way down the line, he decides to conduct a "crash" of his own. How we play the game demonstrates to others how they should play the game. Being rude and pushing other people around only passes it down the line to the next person. You missed my point...my SOLE point was...you cannot compare crashing bosses to crashing a yew tree...because crashing a yew tree does not work in this game. There wasn't any abstract meaning to it...it was a simple...literal point. You cannot crash trees, therefore you cannot compare it to crashing bosses. I wasn't talking about Morals or the grand cycle of things...simply the relationship between crashing trees....and crashing bandos.

Oh, it's a grammar thing....what does [sic] stand for though?

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
I'm one of those top slayers. I don't wait for the monster to die, thats just a waste. I collect loot later, when I'm running back to that spawn. I still pick up coins from things like gargoyles and greaters, and I still never miss an attack cycle (unless there's too many people there)

He was comparing crashing a boss, to crashing a tree, which doesn't work in this game. I stopped reading after your first line, because your post has no relevance to mine. Are you assuming crashers do NOTHING but bosses? No, I don't camp bandos, or DKs 24/7, everyone else has plenty of opportunity to go to that boss when I'm not there. But when I DO decide to go to that boss, why should I give up my time for someone else at bandos, when at most times...simply switching worlds is not an option. I rotate my activities fine. If someone else happens to be doing the activity I want to at the time, and I decide to use the world they're in...guess they were just there at the wrong time.

An Elitist's View on Crashing
Say it like it is Golv . Question - What's there to be 'elite' about, playing RS? Perhaps its because you've got manners, you don't live inside your own personal bubble of 'me me me', you are actually aware of what goes on around you and you've done puberty so you've nothing to prove to yourself or anyone else. I'm not trying to prove anything, I just wanna make more money. So if crashing someone means I'll make more money, Yay for me.

An Elitist's View on Crashing
Well, I guess I'm just being technical. There's a difference between someone working as hard as you and someone working as long a period of time as you. Player 1 worked on his high stats for a year; Player 2 has worked on his lower stats for two months. It is entirely possible that they have both worked as hard as the other, Player 1 has just simply been at it for a longer period of time. - - - My views I guess are a bit limited on this subject. I have always considered myself to be a skiller, so I've never encountered someone crashing me when I get the urge to do combat. It's just the elitist opinion that irks me, I guess. It's foreign to me, and it seems like the incorrect mindset to have. If The Ancient stumbled upon some trees I was in the process of cutting, I would never dream of telling him to world hop and find another, simply based off the fact that I have nearly 15,000,000 more Woodcutting experience than he does. I know it's not quite the same thing, but that's just how it's translating in my head. I just think everyone should have an equal shot. There is only two skills you can crash...mining, and hunter. You can rule out mining once someone hits 77 mining, leaving only 1 skill possible to crash. You cannot compare crashing skillers to crashing bosses, it is far from the same thing. Everyone does have an equal shot. The level 110 got in the boss room didn't he? By saying the level 130+ shouldn't crash him because he wasn't there first is telling that 130 he doesn't have an equal shot just because he was doing something else 30 minutes ago. Every person has an equal shot at every boss/resource in this game. Every person MUST level their skills higher if they want to stand a better chance of maintaining that resource. Just because someone leveled up before you, doesn't make them an elitist [bleep].

YOu should tribrid using 2.5 briding, I started doing that, and now I love DKS, it's so much fun  Tough luck on the drops though, rex usually isn't that stingy with the drops. Heck, my friend and I just got a zerker, warrior and hatchet split tonight in a 90 minute trip from just rex. We did get a Rune spear from Prime though :P

Without the coif, I think it's one of the best looking sets in Runescape, if not the best (outside of Daemonheim). I agree, especially the legs. Ugh...looks like rags if you ask me....

It is interesting to note the number of players who have all pretty much reached the same conclusions I have with respect to the adverse effect that rudeness is having on the game. Is it not? That's cool, it's been discussed already before.

The reason I didn't quote the part about it being rude, was because that's been stated many many many times already in this thread, I felt no need to go through it yet again. I was merely pointing out how much of a minority you seem to be in this situation, do you honestly think there's many people out there with as crap of an internet as you seem to have? VERY RARELY is a faster connection going to get you kills over a maxed player using the best gear, unless you're the same as well. .. and the whole world revolves around just you, does it? And you saying that since connection affects you, it MUST affect everyone else at bosses as well isn't revolving around yourself? Btw, I like how you call me rude, but if you were to read through the thread, you would know how against crashing I really am in most situations. Nice assumptions your making.

An Elitist's View on Crashing
Umm.. not really. You can beat people who are higher leveled and better geared than you. But that deals more with skill and timing and a lot less with internet connection. Unless you have like dial up or something. There are very FEW people better equipped or higher leveled than I am -- the difference is that, when most monsters spawn, other players always see it before I do. ... and it's got EVERYTHING to do with internet connection -- because I live in Canuckistan. Most people operating off cable or DSL, particularly in the U.S., have a faster d/l rate than the second rate cable/dsl we have in Canada. While my Cable provides a 6.4 mbps, most of those players in the U.S. are operating at 21+. It's even worse if you've got a piece of crap Bell DSL network. Any noob with a half-decent internet connection is going to see the monster spawn before I do and will get the first attack. So...since it happens to you, that means it happens to everyone? Most of the places where people crash are MULTICOMBAT, we are talking about crashing BOSSES, like TORMENTED DEMONS, and BANDOS. We ARE NOT talking about crashing hill giants. Crashing has everything to do with better stats and gear. Just because connection plays a role for a tiny portion of people, doesn't mean it's entirely based on connection. If I'm soloing bandos with a CR, Ovl, Turmoil and yak, and you come in with a whip, super sets, piety and a tortoise, your connection isn't going to do you any good other than maybe getting the first hit.

An Elitist's View on Crashing
Just a random story Me and 2 of my friends were trio tribriding DKs, when this other trio of like...a level 118, 122, and 136 (with a torso, d skirt and glory) tried to crash us. They get the first supreme kill they go for, simply because we weren't ready for crashers then, so they took it while we were killing rex. So they get the kill, and do the ever popular "OMG Drop@@!!@@! LOlOLO GF!@!@" We say cool, we've gotten 2 zerkers (which wasn't a lie) and I say I have the money if they wanted proof, They respond with "How cure, they brought cash to lie" They then proceed to try and crash us for a good 10 minutes...getting no kills, constantly saying "they mad, they mad", "we sniped archers, they so mad", "Lol, they try to talk trash, they mad" I said a total of two lines... my other friends literally said nothing. This really doesn't add anything to this thread, I just thought it was a funny crash related occurrence.

Need Help!!!!
When a swarm of people start spamming the RSOF about it, something actually happened. There's only one time I've ever seen item loss en masse, and that was when MA was released, which actually was a real glitch. Wither or not everyone complaining actually lost items or not, doesn't change the fact it was actually real. What would you consider a reputable source in a scenario like this? YouTube video? Videos can be edited Screenshots? Those are even easier to edit. A LOgs? Must be glitched People complaining on forums? Must be trolls A fan site? Can be edited at anytime People describing it happening to them? They must be lieing/have bad memory. It happens to you? Sure you'll believe it, but if you didn't trust anyone else, why would they trust you?

Need Help!!!!
Stop trolling...it's actually been proven it's happening now...before you made this post... I still haven't seen hardcore evidence from a reputable source, honestly. A bunch of screenshots of A-Logs only proves that A-Logs are glitched. We have people on the RSOF forums reporting this, there's A Logs that show sign of level reduction, someone actually came to the Tip.it forums to ask for help about it... I really doubt this many people would be lieing about something like this. bladewing's post was an unnecessary troll.

Possible to alch Korasi's sword?
That's just the value it shows on the "Items lost on death" screen. How else do you think people got the high alch values for GSs, claws, and phats? so claws alch for 26m? Interesting.
