Just looking at the stats, the rapier seems kind of....bad... I remember xpx talking about having one rapier in a perm team was good though, as it made puzzles like the monolith easier (due to the non existent defense of shades) and it was good on stab weak monsters...but that was it. It's not good for soloing, or as a general weapon. A rapier/longsword comparison would be interesting though.

I know its different for 2hs have you tested it? (i havent, even tho i have a long :mellow: ) i mean, until now noone used a long in Dung, so im sure most people have never seen them hit at the same time untillthis tuesday. Trust me. I have a B axe, and a team mate of mine has Longsword, they're definitely the same speed.

I've done the room 3 times and haven't seen a death on it yet. Nope, the longsword only has slash for accurate/aggressive- the stab option is controlled so you can't use it with rings, making it a crap weapon overall. Have SOMEONE forgotten that the 2h is the best weapon in dungeoneering - unless you want to use a TANK ring, in which case you need a 1handed weapon WHERE ON EARTH DOES IT MATTER IF THE BERSERKER RING WORKS WITH A LONGSWORD THEN?? The longsword has -6 str compared to the battle axe, but a higher SLASH I dont know how many monsters you would CRUSH excpt for pl8ed warriors? so i dont know how important that 2nd style is, but note that stab works "allright" on pl8ed warriors Im 90% positive that my longsword is actually faster than a b axe, in which case higher accuracy and only slightly lower str make my longsword better than a b axe if it isnt faster, ignore the last line They're same speed. Weak to crush: Fire giants All Skeleton types Reborn mages + Their warriors Hobgoblins (many say stab...many also say slash, I personally never miss these guys with crush :unsure: ) Plated Warriors Weak to stab: Hell Hounds Demons Guard Dogs Brutes Chained warriors Dragons There's obviously more, but those are the main ones that you seem to find the most Both crush and stab are useful. The B Axe and Longsword are very comparable if you only look at stats, However, since the B Axe can be used with berserker on BOTH of it's attack styles, it has better DPS Hobgoblins are definetly weakest to crush, and earth warriors are weakest to crush aswell But I never have any trouble hitting skeles with slash and those reborn mages in warped floors - as far as i remember - are VERY weak to stab. How does the Prom 2h compare to the Primal B axe. When I switched, I noticed myself killing things faster with the b axe, I cannot get the primal 2h, so I don't mention it as there is no point in comparing it yet. I personally haven't tried stab on the new mages, but I don't have a stab option. I've just noticed I hit accurately with crush.

For stabbing purposes. You can also use tank with it, since the only req is a shield, not combat style iirc I'd use a primal spear there instead. [/hide] Hmm, maybe. But you can't use ANY melee rings with that. It might also be fair to mention the 1 primal Longsword we have is our keyer as well, So being a 1h weapon, he can use tank. Not to mention none of us can get the spear yet :P I'm guessing the baxe is still better thanks to the longsword's "not aggressive" stab, but that might only apply to spears. If the stab DOES work with zerker, and the monsters are weak to stab/slash combo, then longsword is definitely better. Please stop guessing you are 95% of the times wrong when you guess. You know NOTHING of this matter, so don't try and give advice. Isn't he right though? As in the B Axe is still better.

Chaotic is better for Pvp/Mage weak bosses and Ice strykes (maybe not money wise, I just like hitting higher on those guys :P) SoL is better for Practical use

Currently confirmed. You CANNOT bind new items if you have the surge box bound. For instance.. You have Prom 2h Prom Plate and Surge box as ammo. You find a SSH, and want to bind it, so you destroy your plate, and try to bind it. However, even after destroying your plate, you still cannot bind the hood since the Box apparently counts as an item bind. I severely hope this is a glitch, and the box was intended to ONLY be an ammo bind.

demons are still there, necromancers have been replaced by Undead Mages (they summon two meleeing monsters that die on their own, they take forever to die though, so if it's a guardian door, you're better off killing), I've only done a few warped and haven't seen a dragon yet. So far, undead mages and Ankous are the only two new additions.

You can actually see mages wielding them now for anyone who's interested.

He Kept his untrimmed slayer when he got 99 Dung by telegrabing. He got 100 dung, which accidentally trimmed his cape

So it IS an ammo slot item. That seals the deal, definitely worth having a few team members with these boxes. Should speed up occults a good deal, because of fire giants, demons, and of course warriors are weak to magic. Might need a couple more tests to be 100% A friend of mine said that he wasn't able to Bind a new Armor/weapon when he had this binded. We'll see what happens I guess when i get a Primal body from Dreadnaut. I REALLY hope it was intended to only be ammo.

I personally like it. I don't know if it would be useful for rushers at all, since I don't rush. But it fits my dungeoneering style perfectly. The lesser version would be worth binding in F2p I would imagine as well.

who says you home tele? Just keep it with you for when you find a furnace on the way. With a good gatherer ring, you get 2 ores fast. Like I said, it's iffy. I don't have much experience with rushing, nor do I plain to gain my experience with it anytime soon. It was just a random thought, nothing really more to go by.

We like making random armor, and we still do dungeons in 40-60 minutes, so it's not too horrible for us. We find it enjoyable. I would never sit there mining gorg in a rushing team (maybe to make guants and boots for str bonus though, but even that's iffy)
