So, I have this dungeoneering pure I guess you could call it, and his levels are in the high 50s now, so I think it's time for me to start thinking about f2p rewards on this guy. Now, In the past, when I had a f2p account, I got the gravite 2h, and was severely disappointed. I was considering getting the rapier on this account. Is the gravite rapier good in terms of Non mem? I was also thinking about getting the magic blastbox for the shield mage bonus as well as the confirmed Bonus damage is does. Is it worth getting for f2p accounts? The longbow sight seems like a good item for f2p when in pvp situations, since players usually have good defense. Is the Maple Longbow(s) good to get (situationally of course) Other rewards I was thinking of are gem bag, coal bag and efficiency scroll, but those will probably be last since I'd get very little use out of those. Are there any other good f2p rewards I should consider, or are any of the ones I'm already looking at unreasonable?

[hide] [/hide] Bandos is definitely worth getting...not first, but is one of the sets you should be aiming for I haven't worn my Armadyl in months other than for clan wars. Karil is better when you need mage def, but are meleeing. Armadyl is only better when actually ranging.

cause it's so much more fun to have a sword that is about 50% longer. much preferable to actually killing stuff faster. Some people actually find it more fun to have longer swords.

You're not supposed to be getting good xp on those floors anyways. The idea of rushing those isn't for xp, it's so you can get through them fast, and do the floors that give good xp sooner. Also, don't reset until you've done ALL of the floors you can.

Not bad for a 30 minute nech task. I like how Rune boots are actually decent drops now :P

One thing that's partially important...do you plan on being... A casual slayer (not using boosting prayers, probably afking a few times, no cannon, no combat familiars) A quick slayer (Piety/turmoil, combat familiar, but no cannon) <--Not really a class, just what I do :P A powerslayer (basically do what aeil said)

What ring setting and bind setup? Also curious. When I had a celestial staff bound, I'd try to make a couple hundred fire surge casts early on, and it really worked beautifully against anything remotely weak to magic, but I could never figure out what ring to use. Blazer saves you runes, blitzer kills faster, that other one makes you able to safespot meleers without obsticals I'd say it's between blazer and blitzer Edit: A random thing to note about blazer, when it's doing the extra damage, those damage splats can be SS'ed off of, so it's also good to heal with while saving a few runes.

All hellhounds drop is charms...granted they're gold, but still. They are far from a slow task, with the new resource dungeon, they're on of the fastest xp/hr tasks. Unless you do clues (and get decent rewards), they aren't at all profitable though.

Agree about the immaturity, but I still don't like the sounds. I'll get used to them though.

+1 It's one of those tasks you do only if you enjoy them (which I personally do) When I was talking about zammy mages being efficient though, I was talking about spirit mages as the subject, not everything else along with it.

A long-term RS goal of mine is getting a wolple (90 summon now - scroll gives same boost as extreme mage) Cstaff, stream (few more levels), as well as FSH and fero ring, and max magic damage in Kuradels Dungeon. Why not ice strykes? ;)

no food, 270 lp, poisoned. Get caught in the moment? :P

If you need a Saradomin item to kill mages, you're doing it wrong (should be killing zammy mages)
