10m+ Wonder
This would likely make the biggest impact in terms of raw onyx accumulation. Lots of people have maybe 5-6 hours of Tzharr slayer tasks built up, but nowhere near the full amount to purchase an onyx. Allowing people to sell tokkul (at perhaps a 1 GP per tokkul) to other players would greatly improve the quantity being produced. Instead of 10 people getting 50% of the tokkul needed with 0 onyx produced, 5 people will buy onyx and 5 will get GP out of it. It's a win-win situation for everyone gathering the supplies. Implementing this would keep onyx "un-common" but much more feasible to obtain. Trading sticks is another currency in the game which is tradeable, so I see no issue in making tokkul tradeable. PS. Tokkul isn't just limited to slayers or monster hunters. Skillers can still sell ores to the shop for tokkul. One way to boost this would be to make a shop that buys other skilling items too, such as magic logs, or raw fish. Making Tokkul and adding in some shops skillers can sell to will boost this enough no other changes will need to be made.

Saradomin godswords uses for slayer
This may be the case, but I think the author of this thread was not stating it wasn't useful, but its usefulness wasn't worth the 60M+ price tag. The OP is wrong for comparing a weapon to a single activity though, because at that point a AGS is just as worthless for slayer since its DPS is less than whip + claws. The reason SGS is at its price is because it is good at alot of things, but not necessarily the best at everything it is good for. But Runescape is changing. Speaking statistically, we are now at the point where, in most cases, DPS can be boosted to a point where it improves longevity more than some forms of healing. Before Dragon claws nobody would have even doubted SGS being the best weapon for lengthening your trip. So at this point (in terms of longevity), the only thing the SGS is really the "best" of right now is DK's, but with new bosses on the way that could quickly change. Choosing a weapon is a personal preference. So to someone like me an AGS is worth nothing, but an SGS is worth alot. To someone like you, maybe Claws is worth alot and SGS is worth nothing. But we can't really say one is one way or the other, because it's all opinions on how we use the weapons.

Perfecting My Armadyl Setup
Well the nice thing about a Rocktail + Brew sip combo is that it heals about 370 HP in one attack cycle, instead of the 280 brews would offer. The trick is to don't eat anything until you hit about 600 LP. At 600 LP, run under Kree, and then eat one Rocktail and one dose of brew. By the time you consume your 1 brew sip your wait timer for eating the food should almost be up, and you should be able to attack again very shortly. Doing this will boost you from 600 to 970 HP. See more about overload healing at the end of this post. Often you will be eating like this in cycles such as: Attack for 30 seconds. Stand under and eat. Attack for 5 seconds. Stand under and eat. Attack for 20 seconds. ect.. The benefit of this method is, your stats stay close to maximum the entire time with no need to consume super restores except for prayer. If you want to you can even swap them with prayer potions to save some money. Your magic level (magic defense) is VERY important at Arma. If you brew to much and get your magic to low, his magic attacks will rip you to shreds. The food balance helps this from happening. As per Excal usage, save it for your overload. Both the overload and excal take 5 minutes, so you can use them effectively together. Basically, the purpose of the excal is to reduce the damage done by the overload to 300 instead of 500. A good idea is to set up some sort of timer when you dose your overload, so you know when its about to expire. If it is about to expire it would be more wise to safe around 600 LP, so you don't over-eat. But NEVER let yourself drop below 450. The loss of 200-300 HP from the overload is minimal compared to higher chance of getting KO'ed by a combo at 450 and below.

Where to use Void?
Well it can be *used* for alot of things, but isn't quite as efficient as it used to be, especially since the introduction of Extreme/Overload Potions since those can make weapons accurate without the need of void. The uses you should really be using it for is anything that requires quick hybrid of attack styles or little defense and lots of offense such as: Solo/Team TD's Corp (If you wish to risk it) Large Team Bosshunting Fist of Guthix BH and PvP worlds Duel Tournaments Pest Control Safe PvP minigames such as Soul Wars or Clan Wars. NPC's with low attack and high def are also fair game as long as they are not a slayer task.
-
Where to use Void?
That's quite alright, and at the point in time you leveled your slayer void was the best option for ranging. However now, at this point in time, this is no longer the case. That is the reason for the statement on how void is no longer useful for slayer, because its not the best anymore. Not trying to say "you were not doing it right", because void was great at that point in time, but using void now for slayer wouldn't be a good idea :)
-
Where to use Void?
Using void range on slayer tasks is the dumbest thing you could ever do. Why is having higher max hit dumb? You can tank most slayer monsters with my levels, even in void. At the greater demons I can easily keep up with people with whips using void. Hellhounds; also works great in void. Dusties; doesn't work in void for obvious reasons. etc. But apparently you have a different experience. Which doesn't match mine. Full slayer helm/Focus Sight is 15% accuracy and damage to range, while void is only 10%. Ontop of this, you can wear Armadyl with a slayer helm to give you a HUGE accuracy bonus over void. Void is ok for killing things, but a focus sight/full slayer helm + Armadyl is far superior for slayer tasks. Like said above void does have some uses, but they are not that numerous. The major places it excels at is Fist of Guthix and PvP for lower levels.

Perfecting My Armadyl Setup
Armor wise your good, the only thing that needs tweaking is your inventory, and maybe your methods. Don't bother with ruby at all. At 95+ range diamond will be hitting into the high 30's to low 40's. Stick with Diamond for the bosses and broads for KC. Don't bother with leech mage as it does very little for you. Since runescape magic tends to have a max hit it will only lower her accuracy, but not enough to notice much of a difference. Just stick with Prot. Item, Deflect Range, Leech Range and Leech Def. This is the correct order. You have about a 50/50 chance of killing the ranger before kree spawns, but since you are deflecting range sometimes deflect will end up killing him during kree anyways. If not you'll just get the ranger every other kill. This is nothing to worry about. Personally I have never used overloads at Arma so I can't answer this, but when I do trips with extreme range + Rocktail, I end up with about 6-8 kills per trip. I would imagine adding brews into the mix will add many more kills. Questions: 1) Are you just tanking Arma when you need to heal, or do you step under him while healing. If you step under him ("Dancing") you reduce the damage taken while healing. This also opens the method for shark-brewing. Adding food into the mix will allow overloads to compensate for the brew stat drain, and thus reduce your restore count. Less restores means more room for HP, and thus more kills. While Shark brewing, I would bring 1 S-Restore dose per every 3-4 Brew doses and 1 Rocktail per 1 brew. You can experiment with this and bring less S-Restores if you feel you don't need them. 2) Are you using an Enhanced Excalibur? Doing so will be a significant help as its 20 HP every 5 minutes. That can total up to 8+ extra sharks a trip! 3) Make sure you bring a 50 or so scrolls in inventory, and a uni pouch at the end of your yak. Using a uni after you yak is out can add an additional kill. To switch easily when Yak is empty, right click summon icon -> follower details -> quick dismiss -> summon uni pouch.

need help getting to rock lobs
The easiest way to get in is the "burstinglobs" cc. Both people going to solo DK's and lobsters use that cc, and if you do happen to die, one of them is usually nice enough to bless your grave if you ask nicely.

Saradomin godswords uses for slayer
The SGS may not be quite as useful for slayer as it once was, but remember people are lazy. 1) Enchanted excalibur: This doesn't restore prayer, and usually on slayer tasks, prayers is more of a drain than HP is. EE is still an excellent substitute for slayer though as most tasks don't *require* prayer. 2) Summoning: Again HP isn't usually an issue for most slayer tasks. Bunyip is usually overkill in HP restoration. 3) Food: Some tasks are really far out of the way and lots of people would rather camp their entire task instead of banking every 20 minutes or so. Banking every 20 minutes to go back to a nech task in the Chaos Tunnels would not be fun at all. 4) Soul split: This works ok, but can be tedious to keep flashing through an entire task. Also drains prayer over time. SGS compliments Soul Split flashing quite nicely due to the prayer restore. But you cant use Soul Split on tasks that require protection prayer. 5) Bones to peaches: Tedious method but works ok as long as the NPC you are killing drops bones. Not quite a replacement however if you have to eat peaches mid battle to restore health. The real shining point of the SGS (And why its the price it is) is boss-hunting. If you do DK's at all you will know an SGS is, without a doubt, the best use of a special attack there. Claws may steal you kills from crashers, but if your not getting crashed, killing in one attack cycle less does very little for your trip's longevity. SGS on the other hand will add many additional kills not just from the Hp restore but from the prayer restoration. I do own a SGS and can honestly say I hardly use it on slayer tasks. But when I use it at DK's its worth every GP I spent on it.

Claws, SS, DFS, GS, or 99 Smithing? :D or what? + Extra Question
I believe the shield Bacon got was the spectral, however the spectral is a purplish color. The spectral spirit shield (SSS) has less melee defense than a DFS but much more magic defense. If your primary goal is slayer, you'll want to stick with your DFS as more NPC's use melee attacks than Magic based attacks. SSS is more useful for things that use lots of mage such as Armadyl. The blue one you see on slayer tasks is likely the Elysian Spirit Shield (ESS) which is VERY different than the spectral. About 600M GP in difference actually. The ESS is superior to the DFS because the ESS can reduce damage taken. In either case I would not worry about a Spectral if your primary use for it is slayer. A DFS or defender will suit you much better. Personally I would go for the claws (as they are fun to use) and then start working on 99 smithing if you enjoy it. Things always tend to be more expensive and take longer than we plan anyways.

Fishing - 99
World 84 is the unofficial LRC world. At any given point during the day ~200-800+ people are in the cave area. I would go to 84 if you are serious about Rocktail fishing.

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
This is the "Post all RS Screenshots" thread, not argue about which TD method is better/worse thread. If he wants to kill TD's his way, let him kill them his way. Hell, I kill TD's without (boosting) prayers and under 200k risk (using D'hide). So let him kill TD's the way he wants to. Speed doesn't matter. Having fun matters. Back On Topic: ~400 Corp Kills, finally our first splittable drop of anything other than a spirit shield.

Making 120m
Unfortunately profit is very hard to come by from corp. Not necessarily because he doesn't drop stuff, but because he takes so long to kill. Each dose of overload is about 25k (~100k for the 4 dose) so that alone makes you lose money at corp, and that's not adding in food, prayer potions, ect.. You might break even if your lucky, but not counting on sigils or elixers to buy supplies, you're not going to make profit off normal drops. Corp profit is down to luck of getting a good drop to pay for the supplies you spent to kill him. So unless you plan for staying until you get a sigil corp is not worth it for monster hunting GP. Even solo Bandos with 1-2 kills per trip would be better profit. TD's are really the best choice, as they can be killed with little risk, and quickly compared to other bosses because TD's lack alot of defense. The only strategy they require is being able to switch weapons quickly and learn how to not get piled, and once you master that they are both easy and fun to kill.

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
3/29/10 patch notes: Miscellaneous * Adjusted the code for the divine spirit shield to correctly reduce damage in all circumstances. The divine shield effect now stops working all-together when your prayer reaches 0 as it did in PvM.

Soloing Bandos
In all honestly I see much better solo performance when I use full Bandos VS. Tassets + Karils Top. When your doing Bandos solo, the mage will hit you, but the majority of the damage comes from Gra's Range attacks. Since a fair portion of your magic defense is your magic level, using proper gear you can get a +magic defense even in melee armor quite easily making the mage still splash a fair amount of time. High Risk setup would be like: V Helm BCP B Tassets Fury Whip + Defender Claws Barrows Gloves Dragon Boots Soul Wars Cape / Fire Cape MA Dragonstone Ring Lower Risk setup would be: Neitz Helm Guthan Plate Verac Skirt Glory / Unholy Symbol Whip + Defender (Keep on Prot. Item) Claws Dragon Boots Soul Wars Cape / Skill Cape / Legends Cape Ring of Life (Bandos Pools would be good for KC) The majority of the people you see getting the High KC's are in full melee gear, not in Karils or D'hide, so I would advise against wearing either and wear range defense instead.

ZGWD Solo attempt
Neitz helm would be preferred if you had one, as it has prayer bonus, range defense, magic defense, and strength bonus. The risk on it is about the same as a coif, so it would be worth taking. If is your first time soloing him, don't bring more than 1m risk, or anything that would break your bank. Bring d'hide if you have to. You might only get 1 kill with the lesser equipment but Zammy is by far the most deadly of the 4 GWD bosses to solo. His ability to combo you at high HP can ruin your dreams in an instant. So your first trip or two bring "welfare" equipment just to get the hang of him. Once you feel more comfortable with the way he fights, you can slowly add on more risk when you feel comfortable. Here's what I would take: Helm: Neitz Top: Karils Top Legs: Black D'Hide Bottom (Karils bottom if using glory) Amulet: Fury / Glory Cape: Skill Cape or Legends Cape Boots: White or Climbing boots Weapon: Whip + defender. (The defender accuracy bonus really helps) Ring: Lumbridge Ring / Ring of Life With protect item using fury & Dhide legs you should keep: Whip, Fury, Skill Cape, (K Top on Prot. Item) Or with using glory and Karils bottom: Whip, Skill Cape, K Top, (K bottom on Prot item) Or with using legends cape + glory: Whip, K top, K bottom, (Neitz Helm on Prot. item)

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
Since I do corp a fair bit, I am curious if the recent update to the divine spirit shield will have any effect on its overall usefulness, and thus its price. I'm not really sure how many people used the shield for PvP vs PvM solos. Is the demand so high on the shield for solos the update wouldn't matter, or do you think divine may start to even out in price with some people switching to Elysian instead of Divine for PvP use-age?

April Fools Aftermath
It was pretty fun, mostly because it was all randomness and pretty interactive. It wasn't just a fake page on a website. I was hoping Jagex would follow with that trend too as "live" jokes you can participate in are just much more fun. Great job on putting it all together though, as it was well planed out. I'm sad to see all the Pokemon go though :( OT: Heart Gold and Soul Silver are gonna be awesome!

When do we get a REAL update?
I agree with you more than you think I do. I really don't feel that last year was abyssmal. I mean, it was for awhile, but then a lot of things came out pretty quickly that added some real challenge to the game. It just gets hard when they bunch up all the good updates like that instead of releasing them in a constant stream. Also, MY largest disappointment is just the lack of the GROWTH in updates. Say in 2005, they were "targeting" a certain group of players with the release of Barrows armor. Now it is 5 years from the release of that level 70 armor, and all we can be sure we are getting is something "80+". People are feeling concerned that "80+" is just going to mean one set of armor with a min level of 80. I mean, it could be that "80+" will mean 80 armor, 85, 90, 95 in one large glorious update. But lets just say they are going to release only one set, with a min requirement of 80. So 5 years ago, they wanted to please people with 70 defense? And now 5 years later they are going to target it at 80 defense? If Jagex wanted to please the same player base, they would give us something a little higher than gaining 10 defense levels over 5 years...Barrows release was catering to a certain crowd, now 80 armor is going to cater to a younger and newer crowd, while the veteran players get stuck with no updates anymore because theyve been playing too long. Its like they want us to quit and they just want to keep adding more and more stuff for new players, while the people who have been around long enough stop getting updates made for them. Also, to me, trying to prove that the updates are "just as good" as 5 years ago doesnt mean a thing. That shows me there IS a problem. I dont want same-size areas now as we were getting 5 years ago. I dont want same-difficulty same-length quests as we were getting 5 years ago. I want to see progress made in the type of update, size of update, and quality of update to match the growth of the game's company and their player base. Well speaking of just Barrows armor in particular, I think a big portion of the problem is the bar was just set to high to begin with. As it is, Barrows armor is quite effective as armor on PvE. If the new 80 armor was to be made even more powerful what would happen to barrows armor? It would get left in the dust as "junk armor" only used for 10 levels and then discarded as useless as granite or rune. From my point of view this is a big reason why Jagex have been hesitant to release 80+ armor. They are afraid not only will Barrows armor crash and be tossed away, but the armor would simply be to powerful for the game in its current state. Only now that they are sure they can add the armor in a way that wont outbalance the game will they add those armors. The new use of Constitution may have something to do with this. I get the feeling new armors will be more vibrant in special effects rather than just straight up offensive and defensive stats.
-
When do we get a REAL update?
Agreed, and nor should they even if they could. Alot of people expect new WGS, Dragon Claws, and Godswords every week, but the plain fact is, it would ruin the game if that was the case. As it is, the game is already getting easier as each update comes into the game. This is a natural process, but imagine if every week was a new WGS, D-Claws, and Godswords. The game would become a streamline from very easy to extremely hard and nothing in-between. Most people don't like the "filler" material because it doesn't matter to them once they passed it. But frankly without the filler material the game would just be to hard for new people to start, or to easy for people already in it, more-so than it already is. The same concept could be said about the types of updates they produce. This game is all about personal goals. Either that be a skill goal to 99, goal to solo a boss, or goal to dance as much as you can in GE, its just all goals. If you don't do anything already in the game, and simply feed off new updates, you need to take a step back and see why you are still playing. If the game doesn't excite you, you should do something that excites you, not rant about why things that don't excite you should be made to.

Kills/H at DKs
This is a map I and a few of my teammates have made up on our trips. Depending on which two you prefer to hybrid it might help you on finding correct spots to stand. The Yellow area in the picture is a "safe zone". In this area, nothing will attack you while they wander around, not even prime. You can turn pray off if prime is not on you along the wall (Possible to soul split Rex) but you need to be VERY careful. Being that far over you can't see people running inside, which can cause prime to switch to you if he is close enough. Also just from my personal experience, Spins tend to "camp" and hit players who don't move around much more. If a player is maging and you are hybriding Prime and Supreme you will take much less damage from spins than the mage doing Rex only will. As per armor on SUP-PRIME Hybrid, I do Karils Top+Bottom now. Since the HP update I've noticed much more damage coming from mage attacks than ranged from the spins. People in training should still use Veracs bottom for rex, but once you are confident you know how to not pull Rex while on sup, go with Karils/Dragonhide. Supremes range attack is alot less than you think, as has trouble hitting through Karils quite often. (Around 1/5 to 1/10 hits). Another benefit of Karils is if Prime does happen to give you a love tap, its about a 50% chance of him splashing.

Combating RWT
To be honest, Jagex stomped out a vast majority of RWT leaving only a few kinds left. Those kinds that are left have very little impact on the community compared to the RWT of old. The trade limit is inconvenient, but not bad in the grand scheme of things. But allowing things to be purchased in one way or another for real money from Jagex would destroy the game. I don't know about you but I bet most people would be willing, if it was allowed, to do 10 hours of real life work to get an item for a game instead of spending 100+ game hours to get it (EG. Spirit Shields). The EVE strategy might work for other games but Runescape would never be able to apply that method. It would change the game to a point where it wouldn't be enjoyable long-term for anyone.

New Skill Tomorrow??
May seems likely, then. It's more toward the middle of the year, and it's when people start their Summer vacation from school. The only statement I can find is where he said "Likely towards the middle of the year and not towards the end". July-August would be halfway through the year, so I would honestly be very surprised if it did come before July. My gut feeling says I should really expect it around September-ish. They have already proved they don't care about other schedules and will only release it when they feel its ready, not based on who is on "spring/summer break".
