  1. Very, very slow. I would only recommend it if you are looking to get the lumberjack outfit. I got around 300 while getting it. Lucky for me I saved them for the first bonus exp weekend and got around 2.7k exp for each. Got like 1m summoning exp in 15 minutes. That sorta made it a little more worth it. If you ever plan on getting lumberjack then go for it and take the talon charms on the side as a sort of bonus.
  2. I can't wait to play someone to alch and drop my granite for me while I powermine. Or even drop fish while I barbarian fish. I'm sure some alchers wouldn't mind making 200k/h while they alch.
  3. I remember instances in the past though where it gave the incorrect max hit because it used the wrong combat stats to calculate the max hit. Doesn't 202 seem a bit low? It does to me. Anyways, if the max was actually higher it would account for higher accuracy then you calculated as well. Any way to test it other then going into a dung and tanking a crapload of hits from one of these guys? Edit: I checked the ultimate monster examine thread but it's been ages since it was updated and none of the links work. Anyways from the comments I gathered that it can be bugged on monsters that don't use melee. Read for yourself if you'r interested. http://forum.tip.it/topic/117483-jard-y-dookus-new-ultimate-monster-examine-guide-v30/
  4. Quests! Here are some quests with agility rewards: 1,000 - Recruitment Drive 2,000 - Legacy of Seergaze 2,000 - Defender of Varrock 2,812 - The Fremennik Trials 3,000 - Underground Pass 3,000 - Land of the Goblins 4,000 - Icthlarin's Little Helper 5,000 - Cold War 5,000 - Kennith's Concerns 5,000 - Royal Trouble 6,000 - Grim Tales 7,000 - Cabin Fever 7,000 - Darkness of Hallowvale 7,900 - The Grand Tree 8,000 - Troll Romance 9,000 - The Curse of Arrav 10,000 - Myths of the White Lands (you must have at least 55 Agility to claim this optional reward) 10,000 - Recipe for Disaster 13,750 - Regicide 15,000 - Back to my Roots 20,000 - Mourning's Ends Part II 20,000 - The Chosen Commander 25,000 - Rocking Out 35,000 - Within the Light Now I'm sure you can't do a lot of them yet but check and do the ones that you can. It's a whole of a lot better then running around in circles somewhere and you will get other rewards as well. Plus every little bit towards that quest cape helps.
  5. Still wouldn't help, turmoil doesn't boost range does it?
  6. Lol you're speaking to me as if I just began the game lol. I already know that quests can help me understand the game's skills and helps to build experience. Also, I wasn't just going to just jump into barrows head first. I DO plan on training. But I do happen to have a decent amount of herb seeds that I can plant from time to time. That seems like a good idea. Thanks alot! Also, I'm still a little shy of the wilderness to attempt green dragons. Although they seem like good money. Quests and acheivment diaries are still great ways to set goals and mix up training at your level. I know you didn't just start but you have yet to experience the majority of the content the game has to offer and quests are they best way to do that while still gaining a decent amount of cash and experience. You also unlock great stuff, ever second outside dungoneering I'm using items from quests that I did when I was training up from around your level. It's invaluable what they unlock and provide. I recommend against barrows because the key to doing barrows is doing it quickly. At your levels that will be difficult. Also, you will be spending much more on supplies then if you were a higher level. Really, the best moneymakers are those chaos druids and green dragons. You should be able to do green dragons pretty well, even at your level. As for farming, don't just farm random herbs, learn how to do herb runs. When you get to 32 farming start doing ranarr. Buy like 25 seeds, then use the following to get to the patches, trollheim teleport, camelot teleport, ectophial, skills necklace teleport to fishing guild and the lumby ring cabbage port. Use super compost. You can also plant a cactus at the spot south of the ring of dueling teleport dual arene teleport. To give you an idea of how profitable it is, I have around 7m in herbs banked from farming for the past week or so. It is really great.
  7. Yes, if their max hit is higher then their defense would be lower. That makes sense seeing as I know they shredded me when I had a promethium plate bound. At the same time, my accuracy with promethium 2h seemed to be higher then that. Jagex has made mistakes with their monster examine before, it wouldn't be impossible that it would have melee stats and that is what the examine max hit is based off of but only use a ranged attack which is what we see in game.
  8. I agree, with college coming so soon it is very possible I won't be playing past this summer if things keep up like they are.
  9. @ Malzra, you might want to start collecting bets on that. I would bet anything that they would. Imagine, if they release everything as seasonal content now they won't even need to release updates next year. Then the developers can just chill on RSOF and get their asses worshiped all day.
  10. Well now it may not seem like such a great idea but they did mention that this will be the first of many seasonal updates. Once they take it out of the game it's not gone forever, it'll be back next year. The way I see it is, it's guaranteed content to look forward to. This time next year we can all look forward to three or four more regular game updates PLUS the Hati wolf PLUS whatever other seasonal content may be out at the time. So I do see this benefiting us in the future. Either that or it will end up like all of the holiday updates, no one wants them but we do them anyway. It doesn't seem like a great idea because it isn't a great idea. Or we could have year round content that benefits us year round. Think about it, if they release one "Seasonal" thing per month, then each year we have one months worth whatever. On the flip side if all those updates are permanent, then we have more overall content available at any given moment. It's really a huge waste of developer time, when there is so much need for permanent content. Think of all the skills that need stuff, think of all the unfinished quest series's. But no, we get one month content. It's such a waste. The game is far from finished, they should at least attempt to finish it before wasting time like this. I'm looking at you, fire making, farming, mining, smithing, slayer, fishing, elf quests, myreque quests, pirate quests, desert quests. I can think of more too. Of course this will benefit us and we will do it, but there are so many things that would benefit us so much more. It's really quite stupid.
  11. Questing is really the very best thing, it familiarizes you with the game, helps you build a good foundation of skills and gets you ready for later. Also, herb farm, I don't know if anyones told you too before but farming good herbs is the best way to make cash at lower levels. Aim to do acheivment diaries. Once you have a good foundation and 85 combat it's time to do smoking kills and start slayer. At your level I would not suggest barrows, I would suggest chaos druids or green dragons for cash. Barrows requires a decent amount to start off, you also really lack the stats to do it effectively. Other methods will give you the same reward with a lot less risk.
  12. So if the Hati wolf is only going to be around for January, and we will get it soonest a week from now, it could be here for like 19 days? Gf developer time there. Really, quite well played Jagex, way to bring absolutely nothing long term to the game expect content that's accessible for 19 days and then becomes a part of lore. Pardon my language but that the [bleep]ing stupidest waste of developer time I have ever heard of. We need a boss for years and they finally release two in one month, oh but don't worry, one is going to be gone for most of the year anyways. So stupid, maybe that time could have been put into something lasting. Edit: added more rage.
  13. Obviously, but he shouldn't slay before the quest and after the quest he should slay for points until he gets it. Slayer really isn't worth it without the helm.
  14. Quests are really best for you, and maybe green dragons, chaos druids or slayer for monies. Make sure you do smoking kills and get a slayer helm before you start slaying.
  15. Will I get seeds from Shadow Jadinkos?
  16. So I want to level hunter and collect seeds while making scentless pots, then when I can I swap to Igneous Jadinkos?
  17. Can you tell me more about your setup? What you did is pretty much what I'm looking to do, I just don't even know where to start.
  18. Okay, so to try and cut costs of leveling herblore, I'm looking to farm my own torstols. I already have the scroll of life. I was wondering how long it would take to make a few hundred of these juju farming potions from scratch to help cut costs and give me some hunter exp. My levels are in my siggy. Can someone give me a basic setup for obtaining these at my level. I don't mind if it's inefficient as the way I see it I will be saving money on herblore and leveling hunter at the same time, both of which I need to do. It will also be a break from the grind, which is always nice.
  19. NO! You can play conquest. Also the quest "Void Stares Back" gives an elite void top as a reward.
  20. @Master_Smither Sorry, if I was a little harsh. I have enjoyed many of your articles in the past. I just don't like the generic summery of events then tiny analysis format for articles as I feel it is shallow. I don't know, I'm left wanting more at the end of them. I'm sorry. I guess you're right in saying that the majority of readers aren't forum members and do not get as large an amount of analysis as we do. I for one have said before that I originally got drawn into this community over other fansites due to the times, and first came to the forum through the link at the bottom of the article. It just feels stale to read in the time what I've already read in a bunch of threads. My point is more that for the type of people who care about current events and the market, they will already know what your article summarizes and will be looking for more analysis. I've seen what you've posted on that thread and actually read most of it (I used to lurk a lot), it's really great stuff. I don't know if I speak for others but that type of analysis rather then summarization makes for a much more pleasurable read.
  21. Battle axe is good for keying with tank ring, otherwise 2h is far superior with berserker.
  22. Go to "dung smith" cc for people that volunteer to make you items to bind. It's an amazing service.
