  1. My friend, efficiency takes into account time, gp, and experience. Tell that to all the well known efficiency guide makers where efficiency is purely classed as the fastest xp possible; which is a valid point since being efficient is about being fast, not necessarily cost effective. It is very, very different then that. Efficiency is always cost effective, usually being cost effective means being fast, but not always. The thing is being efficient vary's from person to person, it is a balance between your maximum income, the exp/hour of a method and the cost of a method. If you really want to understand this please, please PM me sometime and I would love to take the time to explain it. I don't want to derail this thread too badly. The biggest efficiency guide maker is Grimy Bunyip, once you understand his spreadsheets you will understand what it means to be efficient. On topic: The best way to make cash is through flipping and doing moneymakers, if you make 2% of your cash pile per day, which is low, as well as do frost dragons for 2 hours, which bring in about 6m, again a low estimate, I believe the formula for your money gains over time are as follows: y = 6x times 1.02^x Edit: realized my formula is wrong, anyone care to help me with a correct one? I suck at math. :???::( The important thing is not to moneymake then spend then moneymake and spend, but to make all the money you will ever need then to spend it all. This way the compounding factor from flipping will help cut down on a boatload of time.
  2. All these negative nancies are right, you guys don't have the stats for Bandos, however there is a better alternative. Do some TDS, it's more profitable, more fun, more engaging and less time consuming to set up a trip for. You guys could easily solo a good number of kills per trip. Just be persistent, it can take a while to get a claws drop, but once you get one you will be hooked.
  3. I believe the saying is "once you go yak, you never go back." On topic: But yep, with battle robes I manage to get an 100+ mage bonus and almost never splash on the rock lobsters. You will be able to stay down there for hours, it's a good setup. I can suggest two things, I bring veracs top, bottom and a got miter. This lets me lure quite well as tanking hits, even with pray, makes battle robes degrade faster. I also, and I know it cuts down on my charms/h, I just do, bring a melee weapon to take out melee dagganoths that you might accidentally get on you. My setup: Battle robe hood Arcane stream (fury is just as good here, arcane stream bonus doesn't work on multiple targets, not sure about this) Battle robe top Battle robe bottom Infinity boots Soul wars cape Staff of Light Unholy Book Then in my inventory: Teleport (one click) Blood Runes Death Runes Chaos Rune Water Runes Blue charm placeholder Crimson charm placeholder Veracs top Veracs Bottom Miter SGS Gem bag Rune thrownaxe x1 (for getting in) Food x1(drop this when you get down if you haven't used it, I just bring it to top off before I start bursting) P Pots x15 Oh and those spa pools are really great for getting down, if you carry the veracs you won't be able to run all the way so I highly recommend them. Also good luck getting prayer potions, they are bought out. Perhaps bring a holy wrench and fally 3/4 to help cut down on pot usage. normally I wouldn't recommend it but this buyout sucks. Oh, and an SGS pretty much will make it so that you can stay until your robes degrade. It's a worthwhile investment if you have cash laying around and think you can resell it. Or even just if you can get a loan form a friend, it really makes a difference, it's expensive but nice for camping. On the flip side, if you don't have enough cash, tome of frost will save you something like 7 million bursting from 88-96 summoning. If you have any more questions PM me, I'm currently bursting to 96 summoning in increments and I hope that I can answer any questions you have
  4. don't get BCP, it isn't an imporvment over torso. Get Tasset. Sorry if the spelling is poor on this post, still recovering from new years. Best wishes to you sweetheart.

That more or less negates the speed of chinning, aviansies are both slow cash and slow exp. Not sure how you're killing them then, I averaged ~700 k per hour there. That's in addition to 50 k range exp. Yes, 700k/h is very slow cash. You can make more then that will no skills at all. It's not hard to make 1m+/h either.
  6. Nope, they wouldn't be right. Not every player needs to be sampled for the entire population to be represented. Jagex could explain how these statistics work and get a much more accurate idea of the alignments of players. Players ranting shouldn't get in the way of them getting a statistically accurate representation. Players will rant no matter what, players were ranting what phase one, they are ranting which phase two, and any other phase they would rant. Thus it is up to Jagex to simply do what is most effective, which they are choosing not to do in order to pull their little stunt.
  7. Either way, doing farm runs isn't the fastest melee exp in the game. If you factor in banking time at LRC and alter/re-aggression time at AZS, LRC does become substantially slower. Then AZS are faster overall experience then LRC. I'm not talking about just per trip, I'm talking about like the fastest way to get one million experience in a melee skill. That requires both campabillity and fast experience. Also by dhocking you give up void melee which stack with salve (e).
  8. Well then it's a poorly done poll, isn't it? Wouldn't it be better if they just sent a message out to 50,000 active members asking the poll? This would be more then enough to be representative of the population of 10,000,000 down to a very small margin for error. Now I'm no statistics expert, I'm the type who only understands basic statistics for interpreting data but wouldn't this have been more effective if they really needed an honest answer? It would have been more effective, however it would have defeated the ultimate purpose of pulling a publicity stunt to try and recapture the people who left in 2007. The problem is they left and moved on, and so did Runescape. They will never be able to recapture what they lost and I think this poll is beginning to show them that.
  9. Salve (e) is 20% attack and strength, but you lose fury and the added attack usually isn't much of an issue on training monsters anyway. 13% is huge considering that LRC have the lp they do, which really cuts down on death loss, allowing effective dharoking. Death loss is minimized when using a fast weapon like a rapier. Either way since they attack with both range and melee how would you effectively Dharok without being at constant risk of being KOed. Also take into consideration that you will need to be banking for P Pots at LRC while at AZS for example you have an alter right there and can camp pretty much forever only banking to pick up more overloads. I'm really of the opinion though that wild dogs are the fastest exp with Karamja 4. I know it sounds crazy but the double damage must make experience on them much faster, perhaps to the point where they rival AZS and LRC.
  10. For single combat, Ice Barrage is well over twice the cost as Fire Surge while giving only 20 more max damage (base damage, this is amplified with bonus damage), this means that Fire Surge should be for all tasks where you attack a single target while Barrage should be used on tasks where you attack three or more targets per cast.
  11. Sell claws, flip for 2% profit per day until you have enough for claws + fury + zerker and to continue flipping.

  13. I think that's a good point, most people who are able to run it would be overqualified. Well, it would be up to the crafters then to pay an adequate amount to attract people. There must be people rich enough to do this,it just becomes a question on if there are enough of these people to support a ZMI runecrafting company.
  14. Wait what? Why not?
  15. I've heard that wild dogs are amazing fast too, Karamja 4 are supposed to give 2x damage against them. So like CR, ovl, turm on them is what is probably the fastest. I don't know though, it might not be worth it considering exp lost due to their low HP. Also the bonus exp from LRC averages out to a bit over 13%, it's not very much compared to the salve (e) bonuses.
  16. ty, we'll all get ovls then lol I doubt you will ever be able to hold a GDW world, really go with either DKS or TDS. In my opinion TDS would be the most fun, it would be possible for you guys to solo or duo it too if you wanted and trioing is good practice when you're very new.
  17. At your mage level bursting or even mage slaying will be more expensive then if you wait to train mage through combat until later. Though it would be good to train on rock lobsters later on, you will be paying more for lower exp at the level you are now. In terms of slaying with mage, at your level there are no tasks at all where it will outperform melee. My advise for if you want to go to 99 is the following; Hunter Kit until 80 String Jewelry until 85 Bursting Rock Lobsters until your desired level. At 95+ you can start slaying with mage and reach similar levels of speed at with melee, but fire surge is expensive and I doubt you will profit. Best of luck to you whatever method you choose.
  18. Or get enough people and do a highly organized cabbage bomb of the ten most populated places. Like do Deamonheim, Edge, Varrok, Lumby and the path from Lumby to Varrok. It would require a lot of people though.
  19. Last line rephrased: "We need for this publicity stunt to actually WORK, so go tell your friends if you actually want it back!" Also, gf to those who botted the first petition; it's starting to gnaw your butt and might bite it eventually. Thats it, thats the proof that they are trolling. Either that or nobody at the Jagex HQ actually has any sort of understanding of how statistics work. Actually, that would explain a lot.
  20. I'm so glad I never wasted time leveling runecrafting, currently it's my lowest level and I'll pay through the nose to level it without running laps. It's almost as bad as agility.
  21. That is quite perceptive of you.
  22. Hmmm, I didn't think about stringing amulets, thanks! What kind of amulet do most people string? I suppose I should mention that I have access to Ancient Magicks & Lunar Magic as well. I never thought about training with them, I guess I just didn't know these methods. Any other popular ways to train? Well gold amulets because you can always resell them for a stable price. I should also mention that you get a very small amount of crafting exp for it. Going to 99 might get you a few levels though. If you don't have 96 summoning yet I highly recommend bursting though, you won't regret it and it's much more interesting.
  23. It just shows that their primary concern is bringing old players back and raising revenue. Pretty much MMG is saying, "Herp derp, I need a million assurances for new memberships because there isn't any point of doing good for the current players as they are already paying memberships." This whole situation is getting pretty blatant, if we get wild and free trade back it will be awesome, but bittersweet knowing it's for the wrong reasons. Edit: I mean really, I'm pretty sure they have the statistics for the number of active players, they must know that there are less then a million. They've rigged it so that for the referendum to pass they will need to be assured increases in members and revenue. They can't advertise their own game or are unwilling to so they leave it up to players to virally advertise for them. It's a shame the company has become ridden with so much greed.
  24. If you don't have 99 summoning too, do this. If you do or plan to get it another way I would do barraging at Ape Atoll mixed with barraging in safe pvp, soul wars is nice becuase you can spend the zeal on exp. Burst until you can barrage. Bursting and barraging rock lobs are around 100k-250k exp/h in magic, it varies depending on what you burst/barrage. The fastest are the monkies under ape atoll that you chin. The most efficient if you want good side exp, because of the charms, are rock lobsters, and the most fun is save pvp. Your choice there. If you want something more afk, stringing amulets it super popular and not too expensive. It is decently fast exp as well, 130k exp/h. Hunter kit is also good but I don't have experience with it have heard it maxes at 200k exp/h.
