  1. How do you know? All you know is that it would boost hitpoints and be worn. How do you know how large the boost would be? How do you know that it would have enough defense to make the boost in hitpoints worthwhile? Did you get this insight from the same screenshot the rest of us have seen? You are saying it "WOULD" be better without ANY evidence whatsoever. Everything at this point is just speculation really. And spirit shields are dropped by other monsters, the sigils are dropped by the corp. Think before you post. Sigils aren't a shield. Think before you post. Seeing as you can get one hit with the current armour, more HP would stop this. Looking at the leaked page, looks like it will be attached to bandos, therefore have goodish defence. Whatever; KQ sucks, should create a new boss, I'm going to play in the snow. No, you said the corp is the only monster that drops spirit shields. This is false. You cannot get one hit with the current armor by another player, maybe by anything now thanks to the defense update. And just because it was mentioned near bandos does not mean that it will have good defense. Rune is mentioned on the same KB page as bronze, yet we do not infer that bronze will have near as good stats as rune. Please, every single one of your arguments is based on either a fallacy or incorrect information. I'm done arguing with you, your facts are crap, you fail to comprehend my posts, and (small personal jab) you have new[bleep] memes in your siggy and avatar.
  2. Personally the best star CC is Star Find. Also use sacred claws pickaxes for even more exp off the stars.

  4. Shouldn't the potentially best armour in the game be dropped by a...decent boss? I've tried soloing all the bosses except the corp. In my opinion, the KQ is tougher then Bandos and Zammy godwars. They drop some pretty good stuff, so if we are going to talk about drops in relation to difficulty to kill, it wouldn't be a bad idea. Also, Jagex mentioned a while ago that they wanted to rework the KBD and KQ drop tables. [spoiler=Hide video]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGLwmW-k97k One video proves nothing, people have videos of them taking Jad down in ten seconds. Does that mean everyone does so? No. This is using inductive reasoning as a logical fallacy. One example cannot be used as a generalization to prove a whole. And IMO, it isn'tand thought posting the video would reflect that. But this isn't about the QK, and I think it would be stupid for jagex to add more drops to a boss, who already have exclusive drops. [/hide] Of course anyone would rather have a new boss, but it seems to be that we never will get one. I would settle for having older bosses revamped to put them on par with new bosses. How would it be stupid to add drops to the KQ or KBA? a) It would provide an easy way to add new items to the game without distracting from other more needed updates. (finishing farming, smithing revamp, ect) b) It would take pressure off of current bosses which are very crowded. c) As a result of b, more people would have the opportunity to lucratively boss hunt. d) As a result of c, other areas of the game would be revitalized, for example more people bosshunting would result in more consumption of supplies which would give a boost to some skilling.

  6. I used to collect beers, I did the same thing and had an offer in 24/7. Pretty much it's luck, some days you will get a lot overnight, some days you will get very few. Having more offers helps, but the amount you brought in increasing that much is just luck, it should increase, but not that much. On topic, now I kind of wish I kept a log of how many I purchased with 1 to 6 offers in. It would have been interesting.

  8. It would be awesome if the KQ dropped it... Like give the dragon chain to the KBD and have the KQ get this drop.
  9. They reboost your states every 15 or 30 seconds I think, that means that if you time your brews properly, you won't need to use restores. Of course if you drink like a while brew then your stats will be lowered for longer so a single sip of super restore might be worthwhile. One of the best things you can learn to do with overloads though, is to time your brews to them.
  10. A I know, but whenever I make a topic with the word "pure" in it, it gets moved to the graveyard H&A where i might get a response in a few days if I'm lucky. So if I only gain defnse from quests I'll be at 45?
  11. Really? Heal tick right after 0 hp tick? Other than that rapid renewal is a big waste of tokens yeap, nobody i know tested it tho. I've heard of pures getting it for this reason too. Still, don't know anyone first hand who has tested it. I bet if it worked we would have heard something about it by now though.
  12. I doubt it's intended to, wouldn't it be bug abuse if it did?
  13. Do waves 1-6, unlike getting honor points, horn filling doesn't depend on your performance and you get the same exp no matter the performance or wave. This means that your level in your role isn't very important. It is most efficient to fill the horn first then skill simply because you will be in the horn mindset and then in the skilling mindset and then be able to do each task more effectively. If your income is high, the horn is definably worth it for firemaking. Magic logs are only slightly less economical then yew logs, however I did magic logs and BA horn for 70-80 because I prefer less clicking and wrist stress. If you have high income (at your slayer level I assume you do), then you will probably want to use magic logs. As for mining, I suggest star mining, but the BA horn doesn't work with that so you might want to invest in a few SC pickaxes if you want to boost mining. For agility I think it might be slightly faster to use the BA horn but it is so close that it really depends on if you prefer BA or running in circles. I prefer BA personally. Edit: Check this out for more info about the most efficient firemaking. Edit2: In response to highlanders, magic logs are only slightly more expensive at incomes less then 2000k/h and are actually more economical at incomes more then or equal to 3000k/h because during the time saved using magic logs a person could make more then if they had used yews to begin with. Maples are so slow that at higher incomes they are very inefficient to use.
  14. What is the lowest defense level I can access the following at? Rune platebody Turmoil Berserker helm Vengeance Barrows gloves
  15. Yep, I want to access zerker helm, turmoil, barrows gloves and vengeance. So doing those quests will put me where in terms of defense?
  16. Okay, so I've been thinking about this for a while. Canceling membership on my account and turning my f2p range/2h into a zerker pure. I would invest all my cash and items into the best rare I can, probably a red h'ween, so that if I ever come back I can retain some of my wealth. As for the zerker, can someone give me some guestimations and advice. I would like to know how long all the relevant quests take, what combat levels should I get before I can start PKing effectivly, how much I usually will be risking in PvP, just all the very general information for someone who has no experience on making a higher level PvP account. I'm also very open to people posting about experiences with similar goals.
  17. Smithing update is the most needed thing in my opinion. There are other smaller fixes that could be done but this would allow so much. Smithing could allow high level smithing to lets say modify rune to be untradeable, have 80 defense requirement, and give higher damage reduction or a strength bonus or reflected damage or whatever. It could also tie into a high level weapons update. Apart from this possible tri-skill update... an update to constitution to allow for more then 99 would be amazing.
  18. Should make AGS, Korsais, Handcannon and D Bow less effective. Claws are the huge winner here.
  19. I think they answered it in another thread. Also, I didn't want to come off as too accusatory or aggressive.
  20. Hey, thought people would like to see this. It's from an RSOF thread I made asking a few questions about rollbacks. Some of the questions were dodged but I think the responses still have merit. A J Mod answered me with the following: Quick find code: 14-15-447-62009836 He dodged a few of my questions a little, but still got some interesting information. What was especially interesting was later in the thread when someone brought up things like turmoil and barrows that people were keeping because they have invisible requirements. Mod Mark H didn't seem to be aware that it was a problem and said he would look into it and get back to the thread. That was hours ago.
  21. Often the reason people criticize the articles on here are not due to mistakes in language, but perceived mistakes in thinking. Mistakes in language are understandable, but published mistakes in thinking can be offensive. "The Efficiency Wars" posted in October is pretty much the perfect example of this. People didn't rage at this article for the language usage but for the ideas. Mistakes being presented rudely isn't right, but most of the flaming comes from ideas not language. As a writer you should understand that language mistakes being pointed out is a very positive thing as it is the best way for you to improve your writing, even if they are rude.
  22. Some of the more subtle ones are cool, like the ones with the God logos. Would anyone other then an RS player recognize it? I doubt it.
  23. Do you think damage reduction will be based on equipment or defense level or both? Maybe this will make barrows even better tanking gear then bandos, it has a higher defense requirement after all.
