  1. Where is it said that it's supposed to be a combat skill? Some of the familiars I use most are non-combat.
  2. A whole lot of easy skills just got easier.
  3. Jagex offers some sorta browser or something that lets you directly link you to runescape. That's the RS client I said I used, I am wondering however is there is anything better and if swiftkit is better for slower computers.
  4. I think bones to bananas profits. I don't know about most methods but I've mostly raised magic by doing the weekly circus, at 30k exp per week you can gain over 1.5m exp in mage and range per year free. You could also failcast enfeeble with a mud staff, that is super cheap. Fist of Guthix and Barrows both are slow, profitable mage exp. Very slow however so it will probably take you a long time be either method.
  5. Even with the add-ons it's more reliable? My biggest issue is whatever I'm running it on crashing.
  6. I play on a super old computer which is part of the reason I play RS, pretty much only other game I'm into that it can run is DotA. Anyways I was wondering what are the best settings and browser to play on to improve performance. Currently I'm using the client and safe mode.
  7. Make sure you do all the quests with herblore rewards, there are enough to get you a few levels if you haven't done them yet.
  8. Jagex doesn't care about anyone playing in safe mode and lets that setting go to [cabbage]. Buggy as hell since Z-buffering. I feel your pain man.
  9. You could do fire making, it is pretty much the same speed in both f2p and p2p. Taking breaks to pk when your wrists get too sore to go on of course. FoG might be fun. Or rev hunting.
  10. DKS, but you will probably all die especially if you've never been down there before.
  11. I've been on and off grinding smithing with gold gaunts for the quest and I am superheating while smelting. It works pretty nicely, faster and cheaper then superheating alone. I suggest you try it.
  12. The problem is that apart from Seers diary, the scaling of rewards does not match the scaling of required levels. This gives little incentive for player to actually train to the levels needed if they do not have them.
  13. Sell cape, kill chaos druids until you have money for black mask. Go start slayer with the master in Canfis, Buthrope might be better if you have no quick way to get to Canfis though.
  14. Please. Use. Periods. So. That. We. Can. Read. They are in your backpack, correct? You can only wear them on the ice path.
  15. If you get two more slayer levels and do smoking kills you can cannon baerrant spectres in the smoky well. You will profit and it will be better range exp then either of those methods. Use a ring of dueling and a slayer ring to bank. Use a terrorbird to let you carry more herbs per trip.
  16. Is the boss safe like nomad or if I die will I lose items?
  17. Him and his friend would be unable to hold a world against crashers.
  18. I just want to say, as a newer player browsing different fansites what attracted me to Tip.It and it's community was the Tip.It Times. Other stuff can certainly be imporved upon as no single fansite is perfect. Gp/exp on the calculators would be awesome for example. But the one thing I would love to see expanded would be the times because I truly think it is a catalyst for discussion and thinking within the community and a major draw, at least for me. The Time are as exciting as the regular updates and if one aspect of Tip.It was to be expanded, I would hope it to be this.
  19. Yes, this is probably better suited towards OP's levels then any of the ones I mentioned save the Giant Mole.
  20. Those aren't quite the stats needed to do DKS efficiently, moreover they are one of the hardest to do if you don't know what you're doing. The easiest and most straightforward two bosses are the giant mole and the KBD, try these and move up to harder stuff. Maybe duoing TDS if your friend can level a bit, you won't get a lot of kills but you will get some. Really though, the KBD is both hard to kill and with horrid drops so don't go there unless you just want a challenge.
  21. Well, i actually looked it up and it turns out kings ransom was released a month before god wars dungeon, making the case that because prayer use became bearable, whip has always been the better weapon for all the boss monsters, meaning that godswords have been outdated since their release- they've always been special weapons, and more or less second rate at that. Maybe it's just me, but I do ffa Bandos Godwars sometimes and I find that my BGS + Claws works better then my friends Whip, defender and Claws. We both use peity and extreme pots with claws as our spec weapon. Godswords accuracy still come into play on the higher defense bosses.
  22. And if you really want the strength bonus, you could get a torso. It might detract from your bot hunting though as there are few Barbarian Assault bots. If you want to both bot kill and gain money I heard green dragons in the chaos tunnels are pretty good and have more bots then other moneymakers. Maybe you could combine the two and make up for bot hunting time lost by killing green dragons after getting the torso.
  23. Wait to sell it at the right moment. For example if there is a good high level skill update and raw materials start to skyrocket use it to buy raw materials. Or use it to buy a rare with high street.
  24. OP specified that he wants to use it for slayer, not PVP. Therefor your analysis as to why Chaotic Maul is best, based only on PVP, is very flawed. Furthermore you don't really have the stats to do any higher level slayer or boss hunting which are the main uses of the rapier, and therefor are ill equipped to judge its effectiveness. The Chaotic Rapier does noticeably more damage and is certainly worth it for slayer, long or maul are useless for slayer. If you ever decide to boss hunt rapier will serve you well there too. Edit: Kimberly beat me to it, thats what I get for not refreshing after going AFK.
